Because Lyricism doesn't sell. Yeah the Clipse is hot but people prefer catchy music, hence, their biggest hits are grindin, what happened to that boy, and ma I don't love her. Also Clipse doesn't maintain buzz when they drop albums, they always fall back into the shadows for about a year. Once wayne got on top, he wasn't letting go. They tried to maintain their buzz with mixtapes, and tried to make better business decisions by suing the label, but it didn't work. But you can't doubt their work ethic
