The mta is keeping the (G) here because the Queens Blvd Line would get very crowded with the (G) (R) and (V) on the same line especially during rush hours.
so the mta cut back the (G).Eliminated the (V) and put a stupid orange (M) which I hate,to forest Hills
C riders hate the R40M/42s, so they put the R32s back on that line and they were overjoyced, but now E riders are angry because they have to deal with those rusted tin cans for another year.
i personally prefer R38s over R42s, but not by much. nyct, though, has confirmed that R38s will be first cars to be retired and they will be gone by the end of February.
it will probably get R68/68As. as for the E, its R42s are currently being sent to Pitkin to replace the R38s on the A. soon, the E will be fully R160s
they are not lying, they are just being stupid. the G does not get often, but the V has gotten more and more crowded. in fact, you have better chance of getting a seat on 11 other lines than the V.
i just pity the G riders for complaining about the service cuts. the V has been used more often recently, so that is a poor excuse to use. once 2009 hits, no more G service to Forest Hills!
the R46s from the G will be moved to the R. its R32s will then be moved to the E. when the F gets R160s, some of its R46s and R32s will be moved to the E as well.
my bad, yeah i meant the G. i guess it is going to get it this december instead of next february. the E is going to get back its R46s from the F and its R42s will be moved to the C. so the E will mostly R32s again
i removed them, but the G will definitely use R68/68As beginning next year. the R46s will be moved to the R, so the R32s can be sent to the E. all R42s from Jamaica will soon be moved to 207th street to replace the R38s
no, if the G terminates at court square 24/7, it will no longer have access to the R46s at the Jamaica Yard, so it will have to relay on the cars from Coney Island. it will still use four car-trains, only now it will be R68/68As, not R46s, and there will be plenty of those cars when the N, Q, and W become entirely R160s by the beginning of next year
someone i know who works for nyct. if the G is permanately cut back to court square, it can't use the R46s since it will no longer have access to Jamaica, so it will have to rely on Coney Island and the only cars maintained there are R68/68As and R160s, and i doubt the G will get R160s
word has it when the G is extended to Church Avenue and cut back to Court Square, it will use R68/68As, which will come from the Q and W when the R160s take over both lines
I LOVE THESE OLDER TRAINS , THEY HOLD MORE PEOPLE IN THE CARS COMPARE TO THOSE NEW ONES.

a new subway car has to be tested on every single line it can run on regardless of where nyct plans to put them
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
yeah, but do not count on it going to the G
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
they are, but no one likes the R40M/42s

because R32s are still kicking ass while R38s are rusty buckets

it will, unless it gets R160s, which i doubt because you already know the MTA treats the G like garbage

looks like R68/68As will start running on the E at lot sooner than we all expected
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
U know ever since that V train appeared, do u think thats the cause the G to cut back at Court Square mostly 24/7?
KINGTO101 3 years ago
well i have no idea, if you dont like the service, then go complain with all your friends
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
does anyone use the G, honestly? everytime i go there, it is nearly empty
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
i removed them, but the G will definitely use R68/68As beginning next year. the R46s will be moved to the R, so the R32s can be sent to the E. all R42s from Jamaica will soon be moved to 207th street to replace the R38s

it still goes there late at nights and i do see some trains laid up at court square, bedford avenue, and south of smith-9th streets

nope, the G will be permanately extended to Church Avenue, but also cut back to Court Square. it will start using the Coney Island R68/68As

someone i know who works for nyct. if the G is permanately cut back to court square, it can't use the R46s since it will no longer have access to Jamaica, so it will have to rely on Coney Island and the only cars maintained there are R68/68As and R160s, and i doubt the G will get R160s
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
They better get extra R179s or whatever those cars is for the G train. lol at 0:21, I get scared too

I guess that they don't want another abandoned train line and tunnel on the crstwn line.
PS: i see that you gotv scared at the airbrake at the end.

also, is the R running to 71st on weekends becuz if not, they could let (V) and/or (G)(running a six or full 8) to 71st.
dinah52 3 years ago
yeah in fact on weekends, the R is the only Queens Blvd local
thesubwaynut 3 years ago
I think it has something to the with the lack of R46s avaliable on the G.
kmothersil 3 years ago
how? they already reduced the length of trains from six cars to four.
