@imrobert101 That image is very special for you see marines losing their emotions where in the back left you see the corpsman working. As Corpsman we are told and taught...We have no emotions...there is just medicine...there is just life....save everyone and everything...never shed a tear until you fail your marines and then only cry in sadness for the family for the Marine made a willing sacrifice.
great video. i may be an army medic, but it still hits home. if only the corps would take a prior service medic! lol keep up the great work. god bless.
I have dedicated 10 years of the 15 years I've live to becoming a marine so im not going to quit now, but if for whatever reason i cant be a marine, I will go into the navy and be a corpsman hopefully getting in FMF, i know nothing about what to do to be a corpsman with FMF, so can somebody shed some info on what i should know if i want to be a corpsman. Thank you to corpsman who served, serving, and will serve.
i hate the citizen soldier song... screw those national gaurd pukes... on to corpsmen... i love ya'll! you are the true backbone of the corp. with a 9 mil and a random rifle you head out for any anyone regardless of the situation. if you hear "corpsman up!!!" you never hesitate. we treat you like kings for a reason. because in our time of need you take rounds to make sure we can keep fighting. marines kill. you heal us so we can kill some more. fuck squids we love corpsmen
im an fmf corpsman and i agree the shit we have to see and take care of is fucked up but hay when you hear "DOC" or "CORPSMAN UP" were OSCAR MIKE, no hesitation.
@yogibeara123 Would you rather me use "Anchors away?" hehe no i used it because of its lyrics being about no matter what we come. Corpsman dont wear crowns but we are treated by kings from those we serve with for that we love them for it and always pray we can keep that trust and respect...
Corpsman up man. If you haven't gotten out already I recommend staying in. Our fellow troops need us. The sense of pride and patriotism in the civilian world can't compare to our jobs. We (all military personnel) sacrifice for our brothers in arms, proudly.
Nice vid!! Future FMF Corpsman here, I really enjoyed the vid, and all it did was steel my resolve to get out there and make sure marines are able to make it home.
I'm an fmf corpsman myself and I liked the video. It's a tough job. I love and I hate it. I like that it doesn't sugar coat what we see. I wish I never had to use the skills I was trained for. I did my time. I'm ready to get out. RIP HM3 Benjamin Castiglione. You helped alot of people and was definitely a better corpsman than I was. RIP brother
@navysealguy I totally agree i pray to any and all gods once im out i never have to use some of the skills and things ive learned ever again there are many times i hope and pray i will forget some of it. I wish you well and hope you are doing good. Good luck brother.
my dad used to be a corpsman. he became a mastercheif a while back and he wishes he could go back and do it all over again. he hates knowing there are people out there that there are people out there who might need his help, but he is stuck behind a desk. semper fi to the corpsman that give their lives to save others around them.SEMPER FI!!!
Wrote a poem about Navy corpsman for reading and language arts class. I titled it '' Devil Doc''. The teacher liked it. I wrote it because Corpsman have my utmost respect. Their gods angles for sure alright. They will go hell and high water to tend a Marine. Semper Fi Doc.
Since day one of Corpsman i can honestly say that it stands to this day and there is a small saying that some will never understand but those who have been in the SHT and those who are corpsman will understand if you dont get this please just know it means more then you can imagine.
" Where angels and Marines fair to tread there you'll find a Corpsman Dead"
To all the corpsman present and past we have kept our oath and we continue today. Happy thanksgiving everyone and may it be joyous!
it "where marines and angel Dare to tread there ull find a corpsman dead" not being a dick just wanted to correct that for the viewers. stay sharp, FUCK BLUE SIDE fmf motha fuckers
You know i put this up a year ago and i get messages all the time about how many love the fact im a corpsman and im in the military. I want to personally thank all of you and know that being a Corpsman and learning how to be a true corpsman is something i thank all those who have come before me for. I would also like to ask everyone to take a single moment of silence and remember those who have recently been lost and since the beginning of wars in which corpsman faught in.
ha mervau deploying to afgan in october with 3rd tracks as grunts to helman prov. oo-raa to all corpsman. were gods angles ready to sacrafice our selves for our marines. corpsman up!!
Women can be FMF corpsman i know many of them. Do not let anyone man or woman tell you that you cant do it. Yes there are only so many seats aviable to women but that doesnt mean you cant push for it. Best bet is when you get your contract rolling demand its in there. Make sure you have it in WRITING on your contract that you will go to FMTB after corps-school ok. If its not in writing it dont mean a damn thing.
Wrong... Females are allowed to be FMF. The cannot be straight up line corpsmen, but they will be put with marines. Most likely in the BAS or MLG. Something of that nature.
Corpsman....the best rate in the navy! LOL Good luck to all future corpsman and all corpsman out there now! I am an HM3 w/ 3rd Medical Battalion Okinawa Jp. Luckily I was able to be sent w/ CLB-31 31st MEU HSS Platoon.
Well its been a bit since i posted this, lots of comments...wow. Well for those going to become corpsman, i wish you the best through basic and through corpsschool. Those who have retired from being a corpsman....your brothers and sisters shall miss you. Those with friends and family in the navy as a corpsman. Just remember...when everyone else is sitting down taking a break...thats when we work the most....we never stop, we never surrender, we never rest. we are always on guard.
As the mother of a corpsman I can't even convey how much pride I have in my son's choice of career, and how much gratitude I have for corpsmen as a whole. I watch this video over and over and it brings tears to my eyes every time. Thank you for posting this.

WWII Solomon Islands, Pacific
Reaching up to his own bleeding wounds, the Marine wrote on the back of the Corpsman's bullet riddled shirt,
"WHERE ANGELS AND MARINES FEAR TO TREAD, THERE YOU'LL FIND A CORPSMAN DEAD."
This was that dying Marine's final tribute to his shipmate's supreme sacrifice in fulfilling his oath, "TO AID THE WOUNDED, IN THEIR MOMENT OF NEED."
