Thumbs up so people understand: Kinects reactions are not so slow in real life, its like this because we are watching both the kid and the video at the same time so the difference looks HUGE in the video, but when you actually play Kinect itself (like I did) your mind automatically thinks both are matching up and since you are not seeing yourself move the difference is absolutely minimal and lag-free.

kinect doesnt allow people to explore maps like halo or red dead redemption etc. its only for games that stay still. PLAYSTATION MOVE is an epic win, dont waste your time on kinect, i rather waste my money to buy a second wii instead of the 150 dollars worth of trash. they probably wont even make a 1st person shooter game. theres gonna be a lot of glitches.

I like quaxk's point that we're lazy, especially when it comes to playing videogames, and the level of motion required for this is silly. Games where you have to run? Might as well be a treadmill. Also, despite the best efforts of this video I still do not see how FPS or ANY first-person game will work on this console. In all games of that type, you have to be able to turn your character with a high degree of precision. Are we supposed to just move our heads? That can't be very accurate.

this is exactly why natal and similar projects will fail, humans, like any animal, are evolved to conserve energy and do as little work as necessary, that's why we love slouching in the couch pressing buttons on a remote, that's why serious gamers laugh at the wii, that's why these interfaces are actually an hindrance to gameplay, instead of simplifying the game, they add a layer of complexity, one have to artificially think about gesturing in dead air to interface in an already artificial world

I like your point, but I think there are two reasons real gamers laugh at the Wii. First being, what you said, having to interact (Not sure if you own one but I don't have to do much waggling around when I play). But the second point I think would be the Wii's lack of decent hardware, Nintendo's games look good, but third party developer's games look like they belong on the GameCube.
