  • our society is so small minded and its getting scary!!!!! good work Prof.Nutt

  • This video should have at least a million views! Europe's drug policies are definitely changing to the good way, good job Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.

    Science>Propaganda

  • David Nutt for PM!

  • I have nothing but the utmost respect for this man. I hope continues to lecture, educate and research about the REAL dangers of drugs and that he will be a real voice of reason in an otherwise uncaring world as dominated by non-scientific politicians who are either ignorant to science or who do not care. We deserve better than that.

  • ISNT IT FUNNY THAT OUR MAIN TREATMENT IS FROM A STOCKBROKER BILL WILSON AND IS THE ONLY TREATMENT THE 12 STEP PROGRAM WHICH A GODDAM JOKE THE RESON THEY DONT KEEP STATASTICS IS FOR A REASON AA IS A FOR PROFIT CORP WITH NO SCIENTIFC DATA TO BACK IT UP AND THE ALCOHOL INSTUTE IN THE UNITED STATES GOT 500 MILLON LAST YEAR AND THEY DONT HAVE A DAM ANSWER FOR ANYTHING SO THE KILLING GOES ON WHERE IM FROM 89 PERCT OF ALL PRISONERS IS ALCOHOL RELATED LIKE THE ALCOHOL COMPANIES SAY DRINK SAFE BUT DRINK

  • what happened to this guy? I've not seen anything recent from him... Looks like he disappeared a year ago! He was a great voice for the people! We need to email him and get him back!

  • Our government will never get rid of drug laws because they create to many jobs, police, councillors, institutionalised rape rooms (prisons), customs etc. etc. etc. They to cowardly to accept that these people and ignorant old grannies will protest against them.

  • science is so far removed from the situation thats its almost funny if it werent so bloody tragic.

  • He is a great man, and he talks absolute sense everytime I hear him.

Its a disgrace he was sacked, they should be begging for his forgiveness.

  • he's looks pretty high

  • It's all the bullshit the government talks that actually gets people on drugs. Even a child can see that there are some pretty obvious double standards in UK drug policy.

Even a child can see that prohibition doesn't work.

  • The pressures from the conservative religious crowd who generally fear science and have little if any motivation to think outside their programmed dogma, are a huge wall against humanistic and social progress of the type the honorable Prof. Nutt speaks. Good luck changing the minds of this bunch. At least that's how it is here in the U.S..

  • the fact the government fired him for not going along with the party line that drugs are bad highlights that we as the public have the duty to take down this oppresive system,

if the government is here to help you why are the trading as a private compony

surly they are not here to protect profits and make revenue.

    question everything....... nothing is ok

  • I tottaly agree with him what a bloke.

  • You need men like him for politics in GB!!!

  • A man of truth!

  • we need to silence the voices of opinion and amplify the voice of SCIENTIFIC FACT!

prof nutt, you are your team are the only people that give the facts, its a shame that you will have to fight for them to be excepted even though you have the masses backing you, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE free us from the bull shit shackles that bind out hands behind our backs (coz i cant roll a massive joint with my hands tied) and let us all be free to do, buy, sell and most importantly, smoke, what ever we want!!!!!

  • This man speaks sense....a lot of sense

  • This guy is a hero, i can't believe that there wasn't a bigger outrage when he was forced to stand down from a job he so rightly deserves, for simply speaking the truth :@! Free the green and educate the people!

  • Hes so right about drugs being misrepresented as something which only the underclass do. I know loads of people who smoke cannabis and they come from ALL walks of life, but I dont think any of them could be described as 'under-class'

Besides, making something legal or illegal doesnt automatically lead to people taking it. Think about it, if heroin was legal would you go out and do it? Of course you wouldnt! Whats needed is better education, not stricter legislation

  • @PeteJones100 obviously drugs like heroin should be made illigal - i think if it was made legal our generation would be ok but the next generation would have a serious addiction problem .or overdose problem

This being said i agree with everythig in this video - if trusted scientists made valid tests for all drugs i would accept whatever they concluded

people that go to jail for weed that is crazy

did u know if you get caught at an airport with grade, you're automatically banned from the U.S?

  • @dantheman500 PeteJ100 IMHO is right, It's easier for kids to get hold of illegal drugs than it is for them to get legal drugs. If I wanted heroin, I bet it would be easier getting it, and it would be contaminated, whilst it's illegal than if it was legal and pure. You need to re-think your position. If drugs were legalized, there'd be much less of it on the streets, less drug related crime... less kid addicts... if you wanted drugs you'd have to be an adult to purchase from legal dispensaries.

  • @jason2x1590 i understand where you're coming from but i dissagree. There are certain drugs that should remain illigal like heroin - there are implications of buying heroin that put people off buy (e.g. heroin dealers are scetch, going to jail ) - should remain that way

Besides heroin is highly illigal and who exactly would be in charge of dispensing heroin ?

What if 50% of the population was on heroin as it was avaliable ?

not really sure what you mean by " you need to re-think your position"

  • @dantheman500 Google Portugal's drugs policy, then find out about how it's affected drug abuse.

Also your second point begs the question: you're saying that heroin should remain illegal as it is "highly illigal"...

  • @jason2x1590 i think you should watch the video on the right titled "lemmy on drugs interview"

i agree with what he's talkign about

  • @jason2x1590 My position is of someone of the world who has had first hand knowledge of buying illigal drugs and knowing what thats like for under 18's. The fact is there will always be people who exploit the situation if drugs were legal. If you ask me, making certain drugs legal might prevent more crime but would have more people on them in the first place - bad.

That being said I personally don't consider weed/skunk or anything organic like mushrooms a drug and don't see the prob

  • ISNT IT strange that a vid like this only gets 319 views yet it soooo important

  • Good man!

  • He is a messiah in politics!

  • You can't argue with Prof. Nutt, he talks complete sense and it is a breath of fresh air. At no point is he "condoning" any substance, he knows how mixed the messages are. All credit to you Professor, the country has needed someone like you for many years.

  • @TallonTron my god I just scrolled down to try and epitomize how I felt about hearing this for the first time and low and behold over a year ago you have hit the nail on the head
