Incidentally...this flight (WAW - LHR) has just ceased operation. Since the opening of Heathrow Terminal 5...British Airways now flies from Warsaw to London Gatwick. They are also starting flights in May from Warsaw to London City (operated by British Airways City Flyer).
Hey, just to answer your question, it is the tone that tells you that the landing gear is going up, also when landing, it is the same "ding". hope this has helped
@FlyAirNick its a notification to cabin crew that the landing gear is up and locked and that there is a positve climb! The EXIT signs that are lit up on the Aibuses also go out !
@FlyAirNick If you mean that ''clink'' I might know what is it mean. I have a book where is anything about flying and author says that it belongs to America, at least when the plane has climb to a certain height.
actuall y i have changed my mind. i was being a total prat. there no point me biased when there just as good as each other! they both have there pros and cons so i dont mind now! there both brilliant!

I love the sound of the engines powering up at 0:10. It gives me goosebumps every time. Aviation rocks!

Not only did it help - it ended a life time of frustation in trying to figure out what that tone meant.

Don't like take off!! Landing is the best!!

I think with take off you can feel the full power of the aircraft, on landing you can see how skilled your pilot is.

but thats just my opinion. other people prefer boeing.
