  • I will wait for the BigBrute that has patch storage and a larger keyboard. This synth is surely not designed for live work. Too small of a keyboard for leads and patch storage is missing.

  • @mattsynth From what I remember, the keyboard is actually unusually good for a "mini" or "micro" synth, so you might be surprised? As for patch storage... if there's not, it is indeed a bummer, but would be VERY hard to include at this price range, considering it is true analog.

  • @VJFranzK You get what you pay for with this synth and it is a good deal if this is what you are looking for but I need instruments that save me time and work well live as well as in the studio. Analog is very touchy thing so the slightest movement of a knob can completely change the sound. Without patch storage you start from scratch every time and will spend hours recreating a favorite sound. Two octaves of keyboard is not even close to enough for me, but the unit should have midi in.

  • FILTERS are not necessary for killer bass and power in a sound my demo7 will show this.

  • @fender1000100 True, filters aren't required for bass, (or leads) but it is very nice to have a good set of them to use when you want!

  • @VJFranzk, I might seem harsh but its how I feel about this overrated analogue gear. And if you are willing to part with 500 benjamins for a mono synth with limited use. Thats up to you. Since every sound in my music comes from my DX7S. It has to be the business. And I have a demo coming at the end of February called Starship Enterprise. Maybe if you listen to it and the 808 drum machine created by myself on the DX7S and that BASS. You will know why I walk with this attitude. Peace...

  • @fender1000100 It's only overrated because people misunderstand what people love about analog and that is really enjoyable.

  • This is overpriced rubbish. Its going backwards. I havent heard ONE truly useable bass sound come out of this minibrute. And mono too. My DX7 MK2 will blow this away for bass and a thousand other great sounds this waste of money cannot do.

  • @fender1000100 most people have agreed this is quite a reasonable price for new analog gear. ;-) As for the sound? To each, his own. I will do a more detailed video later, but it sounded good to me at first try? And a nice set of controls.

  • The filter has a 12dB/octave low-pass filter rather than a 24dB/octave filter like you find on a Moog, but that doesn't mean it's a waste of money. There are other parts to a tune aside from the bass. This synth has a lot to offer.

  • @fender1000100 You seem very dedicated! To my thinking, there is no One Ultimate Synth - probably the best music involves several machines, and even non electronic sounds, all mixed together in an interesting way? Good luck on your album, and let us hear it when ready.

  • $500 street price. AND it sounds like Sasquatch Testicles on Steroids. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT, Korg/Roland

  • @Syntox Steroids make your balls shrink, dude. But yeah, this synth rules hard.

  • @dbomob (strokes goatee) - hmmm...yes. Yes this is correct.

  • sweet !!!!!!!!!

  • hey Franz, is this the new shit? looks very good, hands on, analog, dirty (at least you do not need anymore distortion), do you think he can also play nice?

  • @bibibibibiotip Yes, probably. You notice I had the "Brute Factor" knob turned up ( a kind of feedback distortion? ) as well as mixed waveform sliders... This was a quick look at NAMM, a detailed test will be soon...

  • Kool, can't wait to see more
