Looking to trade an axial scaler for my $1800 RC car. I'm looking at the axial. Contact me for the Youtube video link or type in the following description "Trade for RC Axial Rock Crawler, click on "SHOW MORE" below, call at 314-960-9720, tdwmb7@aol.com"
i was kinds pissed when i clicked on this because it looked like the real thing (what i was browsing for) but this thing alctually looks like a tank, pretty cool kit.
@blindone661 they are all 4-500 brand new as they are such a detailed kit, and usual tamiya quality(excellent). you may be lucky to find one 2nd hand cheaper. Mine now owes me twice what it cost, but thats cos i modded it so many times. I had so many original parts that i only had to buy 2 more axles and i was able to build another highlift (all standard running gear)
@blindone661 i filled the diffs and R2 trans with grease over 2 years ago and they still are perfect inside today. no maintenance. all electronics have never faulted. they are very low maintenance and last a long time !
10 seconds ago @bayareaaxialcrawler hey mate, that truck pretty much got converted into the trailfinder chassis you see above in video responses. The body on it now was a second hand purchase that i started doing up. The white body got sprayed black and is now on scx10 running gear with mudslinger 1.9s. I do want to get the portals out again though. they are evil :D
bought the tamiya hilux kit from tcscrawlers. bought the R2 trans, portal axles and punisher shafts from rc4wd. The tires were ordered from tinytuffstuff, and the chassis is home made.
tired with the hard flex lift spring? i used to face this situation too but I have come up with a solution ! Watch my video for more infor ! ( half cut lift spring give more flex ). i hope it help for 1/10 scale rc lovers :)
Thanks for that, it's not a bad idea.I will probably just put some weight down low on the diffs or preferably in the wheels. I don't think 1/10 scalers will like it because it isn't how it's done on a real 4x4.
It's an Eagle 60Turn, it has a decent amount of torgue. The portal axles help alot too with the 1.5:1 reduction. Also the R2 tranny is running standard pinion, 8 tooth I believe. For people who like wheelspeed, they will hate this setup. I like to make it up a climb based on traction though, not speed.
yea man please do that!!...right now im working on a new chassies and i also used 12.5mm wide x 2.5/3mm thick aluminium flat bar i hand bent it so it would be perfect..and it is close to perfect!!!
These are one of the best looking kits Ive seen!
I run a KBF and are not anything like this one.
The detail on these are second to nene, except the real thing!
