  • Gilmore's own first album was released in 1998, but he released an album with the Flatlanders (the others being Joe Ely and Butch Hancock) in 1980.

  • ok thanks stallo67 - hmmm - heard this version on charlie gillett's honky tonk circa 79 - definitely mr gilmore - it was quite fast & had what sounded like a theremin or a kiddies musical toy - blew down one end & twirled round like a helicopter - keep looking kids :-(

  • with all due respect and not to be smart aleck at all Jimmie was not born until 1945 - His first album was released in 1988. Jimmie is one of my favorites
