im sorry flipvideo is not a good camera i know alot of kids under 18 cant afford camera but if you going to spend money spend about 200-300 for a good hd camer flip is not good iv had flip there video has limited space and recording time my sony can record 32 hours on hhd and on memory stick pro duo 16 gig 16 hours of 730

I have the Nikon D80 from a couple years ago. I have no desire to have a DSLR do video; I think it takes away from the camera. Some things need to be separate. :)

Explain why everyone in the video industry--including the filmmakers filming the last two Harry Potters with the 5DMKII--is embracing DSLRs for video--they're undeniably powerful video tools. Sure, they don't completely replace camcorders in ENG and television applications, but considering people have compared the 5DMKII to the RED ONE makes them notable.

One thing that makes videos less appealing is a lot of unnecessary motion, so If you're going for a video camera, you might want to check to see if it has an image stabilizer, and if so, how good it is.
