  • If you like the snoopy french countryside music, you might try hunting for FRENCH MUSIC on you tube.i dont think the snoopy music was more than just a quick composition by vince guaraldi just for this episode.BUT,there IS lots of excellent wonderful music to be had. look for these 2 to start with "French Countryside.mpg" & "Waltz Musette - Paris". they have the same beautiful music with background haunting dreaming quality to it. Email if you cant find them or look on my channel - MUSIC FRENCH

  • Music - per wikipedia .. The music was performed by the Vince Guaraldi Sextet. The instrumental, "Linus and Lucy", associated originally with A Charlie Brown Christmas,is used at the beginning of this cartoon as Linus & Lucy prepare a pumpkin to be a jack-o-lantern, as Linus mails his letter to The Great Pumpkin, and when Lucy wakes up at 4 AM to take Linus home from the pumpkin patch. "The Great Pumpkin Waltz," plays throughout, as when Linus is writing the Great Pumpkin towards the beginning.

  • what is the song at the beginning? and the french countryside one?

  • @ChuckDuke1 ... so far its just music made up by vince guraldi for this special BUT if you search for FRENCH MUSIC on youtube you might something very close... i did

  • @Josephjr4444 the french music is great, but i'm looking for the song that plays at the first 30 seconds of the video, it's like a blues, and has the flute :)

  • 1 thumbs DOWN??? who would thumb down Snoopy and the red baron?

  • You should have cut out the beggining and just had the snoopy sequence, awesome!! :)

  • Anybody know the name of the song starting at 2:25?

  • unfortunately this clip does not run for a number of seconds more. If so you'd see THE BEST clip from any of the Charlie Brown shows. From 2:45 to the end, as stated in a pervious post, the music, the art of the animation, and the fun of Halloween create a mood unmatched in animated storytelling.

  • I got a rock.

    BEST RUNNING JOKE EVER!! LOL

  • from 2:45 to 3:13 is a scene that really stuck with me as a kid, and one that I still have a very emotional attachment to, especially around Halloween.

  • @COLDCHEMICALpresents

same here. the music, the art, the mood.. it all takes me back to being a kid and watching this on tv every year.

  • @rgbelectronica

Same here, I searched for this clip only to hear that piece of music. It's moving. Something very eerie and memorable about that scene as well...

  • @COLDCHEMICALpresents YES..the scene in the countryside, sneaking around in the dark countryside, with a full moon in the distance and gentle flute playing... was CARVED into my subconscious as well. i was always definitely snoopy then and i lived this moment in childhood... the scurrying around on halloween by myself. Doing this on my OWN is what really changed it for me... the halloween excursion! Such memories...

  • @Josephjr4444 I couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @Josephjr4444 okay...someone plz answer this for me. what is the name, of the music of that part where snoopy is scurrying around the french countryside in? whats the name of the ost music track
