  • lol yaaaay......lets celebrate shoes bday......kinda pathetic......but i do love AF1

  • fall back plz, CLASSICS - more than just shoes, adds life and style to people

  • soon they are gonna start rapping about sox

  • your missing the point. its a style that EVERYONE knows about (except you?). its a style that everyone respects and promotes. AF1s are classics.

  • sorry but its only shoes.......dont get me wrong i had high-tops and they last me forever...so its good quility shoes.....but thats about it

  • damn that crowd was wack as hell! do they even know rakim? theyre probably still stuck on that mainstream bull..

  • ya. lil wayne, aka micky mouse

  • Rakim's God on the Mic. He made rap for real MCs. Before he came on, rappers were still delivering slow, rather simplistic rhyme schemes. He came on, delivering intricate, precise and wise rhymes. Rakim was mellow, smooth but hard because he was an intelligent rhymer, unlike others who tried to be hard by being gruff.

  • man that was a weak ass crowd to pay respect to the king..

  • the R is deffinetly a legend!...but i gota keep Nas close 2 him coz nas is 1 of my fav lyricists man!..oh and how can i forget CANIBUS! ILL

  • yoe if anyone needs af1 ones or dunks, nike shox hit me up I sell thim buy the bundle im that cheap connect

  • kid capri is shit

  • my mom used to brag about seeing Tina Turner perform at a hole-in-the-wall club one time. I used to be like big deal. now I brag to my daughter about seeing Ra,krs,run-dmc,slick rick, PE. I dont think my daughter's generation will have any legends to brag on.

  • nah there is rappers to brag about, theres jadakiss, cassidy, immortal tech. talib, lupe, k west, plenty of em but thats filthy you got to see krs he is deff a world wonder lol

  • JADAKISS?!? CASSIDY?! I dont know about that brother. and lupe is good, but he sounds too much like a commercialized Mr. Lif...and Kanye, check yourself son, cant even begin to compare anyone to Rakim and KRS

  • lol thats why i dont bother pointing anything out to these cats, they think they know hiphop because theyve listened to a rakim track. the funny thing is that they also believe kanye west is hiphop.. kanye west aint shit.

  • I saw Ra perform back n the day for about 10.00. alot of yall cats dont know what yall missed out on.

  • the best rapper of all time is Big L, i just want yall to know that, he got shot 5 times some real gangsta shit, just throwin out some other names Masta Killah,Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Rza, Gza (basicaly the Wu) and Immortal technique

  • chuck d had skills too,but rakim runs da mic

  • all of u guys are useless arguing about some rap nonsense wow they were legends yes they are much better then any rappers now (soulja boy) but why the fuck is catfish or whatever that assholes name is calling me a mothefucker!

  • too bad he is not any money

  • um..that made no sense GJ

  • I meant, too bad he is not making any money

  • Too bad we not as lucky as u 2 have his bank statements cuz ur his accountant i no-lame!

  • Fuck any body who too stupid to c that RA is the greatest of all time.

  • that is the truth

  • your all losers comment on the Sick vid

    Not your fucking egos

    pathetic youtube losers

  • And I agree with lukelenentine.

I think Rakim was a big trend setter, especially for a lot of Pac's stuff.

But Tupac made a shit load of songs.

The man's work ethic was unmatched in the rap game.

  • Rakim's shit is unmatchable.

His lyrics make you think deeply about shit.

Read the lyrics to Mystery, who is God. Then listen to that shit and tell me you dont get high(this is a bit much, but you know what I mean).

This doesn't make him the best mind you, but he is vastly unmatchable.

  • That is the real truth, thank you I could NOT have said it better. But I think he is the best when it comes to lyrics.

  • fuck that uncydave!!! you had it right the

time... rakim is the best. his lyrical content and delivery was ahead of its time. so far ahead that todays emcees(loosely put)are just cathing up. Pac included!!!!!

  • new hot nike song check it out

  • rakim is a monster on the open-mic,he's the very best bar none, his flow and lyric's are simply unmatched period.!.Da_Super_Raw

  • Hmm.... I wouldn't say that ... Eminem's Lyrics are muchh More insane... Hear some songs from the Infinite album... Now thats what i would Call Un-matchable.. Im not sayin i don't like Rakim .. hes nice jus... i Wouldn't say hes un-matchable xD

  • eminem?cosmickon what kind of shit are u on? not to say that em is garbage.. he's not but he can't hold a toothpick to the R. here it is em is not even 32 and he's a has been already!!! rakim is a fucking legend.deal with it!!!!

  • Em is dope but Rakim is the greatest. But Rakim himself has said he thinks Eminem is one of the best though, said that if Em was black he'd be called the greatest alive easily.

  • "Rakim probably has to say that because most of the people who buy rap are white. "

You clearly don't know a thing about Rakim if you think he's going to praise an MC just because he's white, what a fucking stupid thing to say.

  • @Aardvarked88 i got problems wit ra sayin that

  • @Jackstar601 Go hit him up, I'm sure your opinion means a lot to him.

  • @Aardvarked88 Already

  • Tupac is a great rapper but never compare A MASTER/LEGEND/GREATNESS the mentor of all rappers to RAKIM. Tupac got influenced by RAKIM to rap in the first place chump! Eric B & RAKIM changed the whole concept of hip hop, and brought it to a higher level, so i recommend you new kiddies read up on historical FACTS. RAKIM is the G.O.A.T.

  • Word. I'm a big fan of Tupac, Nas, Jay-z and Big, but they aren't on Rakim's level. Nobody before/since Rakim has redefined the emcee. We're all still regurgitating what Rakim created. The dude INVENTED multi-syllabic rhymes, unconventional rhymes, internal rhymes, cliff-hangers and catch phrases.

  • nobody does it better than RA.

  • the RZA?

    haha!

the only competition Rakim has are Big Daddy Kane & Kool G. Rap.

  • or Canibus maybe

  • Deeper and Luke man it's a blessing to hear someone speak who knows. I appreciate yall 4 being in depth wit it. MUNCH

  • the TRUTH

  • your a dumb ass that wants to ride tupacs dic

  • from this vid i dont get why people compare him to tupac. tupac is on a different level than any rapper alive

  • its the other way around rakim is on a different level than tupac.

  • Just watch the Rakim's music video for "Juice"-you'll see that without Rakim, there would be no Rakim; its like comparing a student to his teacher-without one, there wouldn't be the other.

  • whoops-meant Tupac :P

  • rakim is the man. Thanks for posting.

  • wth? Pac is a much better lyricist than Rakim... no doubt.

  • u r krazy boyy check the mofia listting on the street. how old r you.nott rakim god father of hip hop in the 80s. pac was nice in yall time, but son do u no who the R is, pac look up to him hommie please beleaveeeeeee,,,,,,,,thank god for [you tube] i c there is alot of lost souls out there dont know real hip hop zulu nation 4 life..............south bronx

  • dont even mention tupac in the same breath as the god allah. this line > pacs life:I'll take 7 emcees put'em in a line

and add 7 more brothas who think they can rhyme

then it will take 7 more before I go for mine

And that's 21 emcees ate up at the same time!!!

  • I don't even think they're worth comparing... they are just different... Rakim and Tupac are both damn good.

  • What r u an ASShole? U probably think he was a better lyricist than BIG 2...Hate you dumb rap niggas....THIS IS HIP HOP BITCH...

  • pac was one of the best but too me what made him great was not his lyricism but his passion and charisma he was like malcolm X on the mic too me

  • when i listen to pac i hear three maybe four mc's: rakim ice cube krs and chuck d

  • Rakim is the GOD...wot a wack ass crowd...he DESERVES more energy than just a few ppl murmuring his tracks

  • I read that Rakim was influenced by Melle Mel. After watching him rap on Beat Street I agree. Rakim tho took it to a whole other level

  • can u tell me some of rakims greatest songs plz i dont know any i wanna get to know his songs

  • "I Know You Got Soul", "Paid in Full", "Move the Crowd", "My Melody", "Microphone Fiend", "Follow the Leader", "Know the Ledge", "In the Ghetto", and "The Punisher" are all great songs

  • thank you mate there well good i lik rakim now

  • paid n full

  • Check out "causualties of war" video on youtube and tell me Rakim ain't the best ever

  • aLSO WAS INFLUENCED BY GRANDMASTER CAZ AND KOOL MOE DEE...

  • rakims lyrical ability helped evolve hip hop into a more diverse game

  • rakim is like the micheal jordan of hip hop, when u listen to his words, his flow, his rhythm. it just all merges into one big ball of perfection. not to mention he totally rips it with the multi syllable rhymes. listen to the track "who was God" that shit was so fuckin deep. unbelievable. and all u people talkin all this mess about pac is better than rakim. just stop it. pac himself admitted that rakim was one of his heroes.

  • I hear yall talking about Tupac. Yeah, he was the next level for his time. But Rakim was the real originator of serious lyrics. He and KRS gave a seriousness to the game. It was from them that Biggie and Tupac and Nas followed in the footsteps of the few great artists of the previous era.

  • tupac is a good overall aritst. rappin on real shit. hot beats good hook. and good lyrics. rakim is straight lyrical fuck club shit.

  • Rakim was the original super emcee, you fuckign faggot.

Even 2pac admits to being a Rakim fan, idiot.

  • thats what i said fuckin fagget ass nigga, rakim is a lyricall dude, that could bet tupac when it comes to lyrics, and tupac knew it. someone said tupac was the best lyrisist and i was sayin no. i got all of rakims albums and i got all of tupacs album. fuckin gay ass stupid ass bitch nigga

  • Damn HipHop today is fu..ed up.I feel sorry for that..

  • im gonna end this by quoting shock g: "strictly from a rythm point pac wasnt the greatest mc, but in that of the most potent most relevant and realist lyrics, he was a legend in that". and i think that closes it

  • jordanbc ) i know were your comin from, your talking about that hip hop that sounds intense and the lyrics are big words that came out of the ryhme dictionary,

  • theres a fuckload of dope mcs man, an mc is someone who can sound dope with there voice and theres a fuckload of mcs who can work a bunch itelligent words together and make a song, but theres only a limited amount who really write from there soul and give meaning to there music which relates to the masses and those are the artists who should be crowned always and we all know who those ppl are end of story!

  • but overall i think that if pac were still around then it would be something like no other, for real because he quoted that he planned on dropping an albulm every 5 years, i mean just think of how potent that would be lyrically and not thug life shit either

  • rakim tho when i hear him its like i pick out 10 more artist like him and he just fits into the whole category of hip hop but as far as pac he was on his own terms and knew shit the not alot of ppl know which i think makes him the best, but rakim is the best when were talking about "hip hop" with that classic touch but as for hip hop to a different level pac takes that, they defined two aspects of the art so there aint no best

  • thats true crecentnova...many little fucktards on youtube are always so quick to give their shitty and biased "top 10 greatest rappers" lists and shit...i'm only 20 but i know that Rakim is one of the greatest of all time (probably the greatest when considering how he revolutionized the artform of MCing)...among other legends such as Kane, KRS and Kool G Rap...dumbass kids in my generation need to learn their history before they say a damn word...peace

  • Chuck-D and Ice Cube (first 3 albums only), were better than Rakim and Tupac. 'The Product', by Ice Cube is possibly THE greatest Hip hop song of all-time.

  • You r an asshole...U kidding me?...

  • What part of my comment do you not agree with?

  • to devilshit666 you are wrong... Rakim is a prophet and 2 pac is as well...

  • when its comes down to rythm and overall hip hop flow then yeah rakim is good but when its comes down to lyrics that make you truly feel soemthing then 2pac will win that always cause he was a prophet no wut i mean.....

  • rakim-true Mc

  • even in a Rakim video people are talking more about pac than rakim himself, they're both legends but overall no one, and i mean NO ONE, can get close to pac

  • to me pac is good and really had shit to say unlike most rappers, and if we talking about the best hit maker i would agree tupac is better. but if we talkin lyrical ablity rakim wins hands down. i mean no dis respect to pac, but he was a great lyricist, but he made such good songs and was doing something most rappers dont, thats why he is also one of the best from the west coast and the whole rap in the 90s

  • your nuts everyone can sing along to microphone fiend. not to may people know all the words to any tupac song. rakim would rip pac to shreds lyrically. and i love pac as an artist but thats like saying jesus can beat god

  • WORD!!...Theres many MC's who cud rip 2pac wen i comes 2 rapping n being clever with it!!...Rakim,Nas,Canibus,Eminem!!...da hit em up this aint even gd its jus swearing!!nuthing special!

  • pac dont got nothing on Rakim. Eminem, Cannibus, Jin, Cassidy, Darq, and Black Thought can all kill pac lyrically. people get on that mans dick because he died before he made bad records thats it to the point... motherfucker was doin songs with mc hammer you know if he didnt die he woulda fell off..

  • Shut up u babies, and quit tyrna fight over rappers! u aint them! They got skillz so shut da fuck up u bloodklotts!

  • Follow the Leader.

  • rakim the master!

  • Goddammit! He goes into My Melody (one of my favorites) and doesn't finish it? Finish the damn song Rakim, don't leave a brother hangin!

  • rakim is a better mcee ...period ..lyrically and flow - i feel pac to but nah he aint close to rakim

  • tupac is great ,there wouldnt be rappers like nas and krs and jay z and u name it without rakim so shut up

  • omfg i didnt sya that i just said that rakim as not as legendry as 2pac

  • omg u fucks u dont know anything how come if i ask people who they knew first 2pac or rakim it was 2pac 2pac is a fucking legend rakim is some fake ass nigga so shut up assholes

  • wait so ur saying rakim isnt a legend, and he is a fake ass nigga? wow... somebody doesnt know his hip hop

  • There wouldnt be a pac without Rakim. Rakim invented the use of catch phrases, cliff hangers and countless other lyrical techniques that every rapper relies on to this day. You stupid ass mother fucker. You really dont know shit about hip-hop

  • I dont c y u waste time with tha blind who wanna remain that way!!!

  • rakim is the reason 2pac and the rest of todays hardcore rappers even exist fools. u dont know music for shit morons.

  • fianlly some one else realizes that

  • This was Pac's favorite MC...Remember him Killing Nas on Agsinst all odds....And for ya'll who say Ra ain't got messages...Listen to Causualties of War....GOD MC

  • Fuck it if Rakim's a better MC than Pac. Pac shit got to people, his influence and impact is what made him love my many ppl. WTF has Rakim done for others?

  • Rakim is nice but yeah Pac music had messages.

  • U r a dick ...Check out Casualties of war...And tell me If the message is still relevant 2day...Don't talk shit...What message did u get from Pac..I get around..?Hit em up?...Young dumb niggaz

  • ur dumb ass hb songs like brenda got a baby, changes, keep ya head up, if my homie calls , the list goes on dumb fuck

  • Hey Faggot: This is the father of modern ryhme; Tupac's favorite Emcee, not rapper...Keep being slick and I will kill your ass internet thug bitch...

  • Get the dead dick out your mouth......Clifford bitch

  • could not have said it better and that is my favorite joint of his. What he says in his rhymes are on a whole nother level than ANYONE in Hop-Hop also the man is a true teacher who in the word is a teacher today Lil'Wayne?

  • hahaha lil wayne is a joke rakim is god

  • what is rakim up too these days do you know?I have been reading some stuff but do you know any latest news?

  • he's producin his latest album (The 7th Seal) set to release this year, if not next year. UNless he pushed it back again.

  • think of it like this, rakim message was sent to the hip hop communities and rappers, pac message was sent to the people well guess who probably influenced him????

    O WOW RAKIM!!!

    of course

but then again if tupac were to be alive today he aint gonna go around saying he better than rakim and same goes for rakim because

true hip hop is about respect for one another...

  • Guru from gangstarr Rakim Jeru big daddy kane krsone masta ace buckshot bizmark mc shan just to name a few..

ya they were spittin shit before most these new guys were outa there diapers and done suckin there mommys titties.. wont ever see "2 pac" on that list.

    sorry kids

    peace

  • 2pac was influential as well as Rakim so you really can't compared them 'cause they each was different and brought somethin' into hip hop.

  • Im A 100% Pac Fan.Pac Said His Self.I Never Said I Was The Best Rapper Nothin,I Am The R.E.A.L.E.S.T Nigaa Out There".NO1! Is Realer Than Pac.He Aint The Greatest But Would STILL Give A Fight For It.Hes The Hardest Working Man In Rap Hands D.O.W.N! And Still Is In Top 10 Easy!.Its HARD To Say Whoes 1st Cuz Theres A.L.O.T Of People. Its SO! Tight In My Book.

  • Chuck D and Paris are the best!

  • 2pac is king!

  • RAKIM IS THEEE GREATEST RAPPER EVER. No one even close lyrically. That being said, I would love to see him battle Eminem!

  • is rakim saying G-unot or G-unit. Ya know, before he says New YOrk and while Microphone Fiend is playing.

  • hes saying "chyeeuh"

  • rakim has the best flow and his lyrics are just incredible

2pac is all bout is emotion and hes the ghetto hero...hes flow is average, his lyrics deep, but not as sophiscated as rakim

biggie is the storyteller, his lyricsim is also amaazing and his voice is enthralling

  • EVERY1 GOTTA SHUT UP 2 PAC N RAKIM R BOTH GOOD RAPPERS IT DOSENT MATTER WHAT U PPL THINK THE POINT IS THEY BOTH SICK this shit has got to stop some ppl make the most retarted comments like the other day i saw someone say lil wayne the best of all time i flt like goin to that mutha fukas house n beating the shit out of him

  • neither biggie or tupac can compete with Ra. Big L is the only one that comes close to Rakim but still can barely even touch how nice this dude really is

  • fucc yall whos talkin about who betta pac or rakim they both legends 2 of the best hip hop artists ever existed

  • If you think Pac could outrhyme Rakim, you don't know Hip-Hop. Rakim could easily murder 2Pac ten times over. KRS-One could do it do, with a FREESTYLE. Those two are the greatest of all time.

  • young cats need to show some respect. i like pac but he was no where near rakim in the lyrics catagory. rakim was the man in the late 80-eary 90's

  • Rakim = The Best Rapper of ALL TIME PERIOD.. this coming from the West Coast.

  • lol pac doesnt have shit on rakim you dickriders...rakim is the best of all time. there would be no hip hop without him...

  • Rakim is the best lyricist of all time

  • lol best rapper^^

    2pac is 100000000000 x better than rakim 2pac 4life

    nobody is better than pac

    makaveli one loveeeeeee

  • True pac was good for his era. But look where him and Biggie ended up.Rakim is and other ORIGINAL M.C.s are still alive today.Show some respect. Without Rakim and others you wouldn't have pac who's now doing afterlife.

  • lol you dont know what yuor talking about. you say that because thats what every ignorant rap fan says. its not even a subjective matter, 2pac is lyrically years behind rakim, yet rakim came long before him. 2pac had a great story and great passion and hes a great rapper, but rakim has the smoothest flow and the lyrics to match. rakim was spitting crazy metaphors back when people were rhyming hat cat bat.

  • no he aint

  • two of da greats up dere- the R and KR

  • really dope!!

  • www bboytube com

    &

    www bboyworld com

    for the illest breakdance footage
