  • Beautiful tune.

  • Beautiful and what a great idea to take the choir to the Czech countryside, pity it isn't much longer than what it is.

  • Burbank Choral is doing the Darke version next week.

Both versions are pretty, but the Darke version is WAY harder to sing!

  • Fantastic...

  • Its such a good song. =)

  • The bass is fabulous and gives texture--too many boys' choirs sound saccharine and lacking in depth, not this.

  • A very flat acoustic which doesn't do them justice. But you should hear them in a cathedral setting with the sound bouncing off the fan vaulting a hundred feet above. Absolutely sublime.

  • My college choir will be singing this song next week, and we will have a young boy singing the solo portion. It is such a beautiful song.

  • I dont understand the criticism of the bass singer, you must be very pedantic. The piece was beautiful . I love the Dark version also.Let us not forget what this is about.I know He has my heart . That's all that matters.

  • ha ha i sang this song a s a solo in the christmas concert in high school..........i love this song!!!!!!!!

  • I like this one, but I like the one arranged by Alice Parker and performed by Robert Shaw better.

    Good job, loved it.

  • lol

    i actually played this song

    with my flute

    teehee

    want an elegant piece

  • I listened to all the versions posted on YouTube, and this is my favorite because of its simplicity. Absolutely beautiful.

  • amazing-just makes you wounder dosent it, with all the music around today, and then young boys and men would sing so gracefully! :)

  • they went sharp. still sounds awesome though.

  • you're right. Our conductor used to say only the best choir can go sharp. All the others go flat.

  • Hahahahh ^_^

  • can you explain what that means?

  • when you sing in a choir, sometimes you can't carry the right tune from the beginning of the song to its end. And when you go out of tune, you usually go flat (down). It's very rare to go sharp (up).

  • Yes,a nd this usually happens alot in open-air singing depending on the temperature. This choir did a very good job not sharping in the cold weather.

  • My choir sung this song too, but it was in a sad version, not all happy like this one...

  • splendid and harmonious

  • How Bohemian can you get ?

  • Beautiful.

  • My choir sung this song , Its such a good song. =)

  • I wish someone would sing the Darke version...beats this one hands down...the choir is very well blended however.

  • I already posted this. :-/

  • I've sang the Coronation Mass with Christ Church Choir here in Portugal in July 06! I love you guys! =D This is very very good!
