Great Pyramid of Egypt and the Pyramid of the Sun do not have the same square footage of there base or even volume for that matter. The Pyramid of the Sun is 541696 Sq.Ft. and the Great Pyramid of Egypt is 571158 Sq.Ft. That is a difference of about 30,000 Sq.Ft. The reason All ancient societies built pyramids is because that is the easiest structure to build.

But the fact that the great pyramids were crafted from 2.3 million blocks each roughly 2.5 to 15 tons, with an elaborate corridor system inside them, aligned perfectly with the night sky, positioned toward true north, etc etc....remember there are no recorded accounts of slave labour in the time of the Pharaohs. That idea came from the bible. Also, the Pyramid of Khufu was constructed within 20 years..
