Ok while I admit that American cars are absolute rubbish, are only fast in straight lines, handle almost as poorly as Jeremy clarckson's fiat panda limo and are about as reliable as a politician, the fact is that not all Americans butcher pronunciations, there are just a lot of accents within the united states and unfortunately texans can't seem to say one damn car name right. Well, Jeremy was right about most of what he just said except Hyundai and Nissan. Most Americans actually pronounce Hyundai and Nissan correct, unlike Britons. The British pronunciation of these two makes is incorrect and I learned this back in the 90's when I did exhaustive research on the matter. Jeremy likes to be entertaining, not everything he says is perfectly accurate. You would do well to investigate the 'facts' he presents before investing too much of your belief in them. Thats a language thing, The Austrians making fun of us germans because we misspronounce frensh words. Americans transform the names of brands into theyr own language. In Germany we misspronounce Citroen, because in the original names there are dots above the "e" which is close to our "umlaut". Americans mispronounce "Porsche" very often, that sound so ugly :-/
