  • She has all the sexual sophistocation of a Hell's Angel in this movie - lol

  • Must...find..seventh....cucco....KAKARIKOVILLAGEISNOTTHATBIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why why why WHY WHY WHY does every youtube uploader feel the need to add music?!!!! if we found it boring without the music beforehand, we wouldn't be watching the damn video now!!

  • "i'm trying to forget it all" LMAO

  • I love how Ebert acts paradoxically more youthful and energetic opposite of Roeper rather than Siskel.

Siskel and Ebert bicker like an old married couple. Ebert and Roeper are like a son arguing with a critically minded father, only somehow Roeper ended up playing the role of the supposedly mature one.

  • Am I the only one who really liked "Masterminds"

  • I hate the message behind Cheaper by the Dozen. "By all means, flood the earth with your spawn. If there's one thing we need more of, it's people." Anybody having that many kids is just selfish.

  • @blindthrall Thank you! Thank you! Seriously, I hate it when people get all excited about having a baby. Congratulations, you just created another problem for the world to deal with.

  • Prarie Home Companion IS a great movie. Like Roger said, Thumbs way up!

  • Disclosure was a great book...The movie sucked

PS I love the Zelda music

  • all i can think of when i hear gene talk about the patrick stewart dune buggy scene is the similar scene from star trek insurrection. dude loves drivin cars, what can we say

  • what is that ocarina of time? fucking sweet.

  • I swear when Roeper says "who are you and what have you done with Roger Ebert", you can hear one of the guys on set laugh.

  • "Dicapitato de la cabeza".... Gene Siskel. God Bless His Soul

  • . . . i kinda liked disclosure.

  • The parasail scene in JP III made me groan. Unrealistic and cheesy.

  • @simpsonsfan89 . wow, thanks for a worthless comment

  • The factory is meant to make fire, of course. I also loved the Zelda music.

  • 6:24-6:34 It's so funny to see Roger so enthusiastic about a movie like that.

  • "There are a couple of times when those dinosaurs turn around and look at those people!"

    *squints*

  • At 5:30, what's the obvious joke Gene is referring to?

  • @JackWolfgang When Ebert said the movie "went through his mind and didn't hit anything", Siskel's joke was that Ebert didn't have a brain in the first place for anything to go through.

  • Who are the two people who missed the like button?

  • No matter how strongly Siskel and Ebert disagreed, I always got the impression that they respected and liked each other. Ebert seems irritated by Roeper at times. He needs a stronger foil and Roeper is a bit of a lightweight.

  • I posted a comment saying Roeper was an idiotic for giving thumbs down on a Robert Altman film, I will admit that comment was harsh, but Roeper makes me mad sometimes mainly because he comes off mean towards Ebert whenever he doesn't agree with his judgement.

  • @johnhamilton08 because Siskel was completely kind to Ebert when they disagreed, right?

  • ebert can really be out of it

  • haha oh wow, I remember master of disguise. It ended dana carvey's film career.

  • The only good thing about Master of Disguise is I banged a broad while we were "watching" it!

  • @schmeltingaccident she probably only did it with yo so she wouldn't have to watch that pile of shit

  • @nonamebrand0

Hey fuck you buddy. Thats outta line! I hate you...because you are completely right. :)

  • is it just me or does Ebert looked stoned at 6:55

  • lol, Zelda music? Really?

  • "with your attitude -- they should be called crabby cakes" ... O-U-C-H ...

  • Ebert looks and talks so tired in the last review, but his spirit is still there.

  • I think it was because he was suffering through cancer at the time.

  • "You have the appearance of a human being, but in fact, you are an android." Simply hilarious.

  • highlander 3... o boy

  • Decapitato de la cabeza!

  • "who works there? what's the factory for? nobody knows."

  • OMG!! that music takes me back! that game was so awesome! nostalgia! seriously, it almost made me cry hearing that again! lol

  • Love the music!

  • love all the zelda and mario music lol

  • So Ebert gave thumbs up to Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Sahara, and thumbs down to A Clockwork Orange and Edward Scissorhands......

Well, you've still got to respect the man. He does love Dr. Strangelove and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and absolutely hates North and The Master of Disguise.

  • Ebert is for the most part on the 'right side of the thumb.' I'm sure when he looks back on a lot of the movies he's done (your examples included) he might feel a bit differently.

  • Movies are about entertainment, no matter how stupid or comical that plot is.

Edward scissor hands, wasn't that entertaining for me at least.

  • I disagree. They both had diverse, great tastes.

  • I meant to say I liked Siskel better. That doesn't mean I hate Roger though.

  • Kokiri Forrest music, great! Although I would agree on the idea that it shouldn't run through the entire clip. I'm a huge Legend of Zelda fan but I'd rather hear these guy's opinions without a subtle backing muzak.

  • Well, Altman made several bad films. APHC is one of his very best though. To be fair though, Roeper did say McCabe and Mrs. Miller was one of his favorite films.

  • ok, the music you added is irritating. LOSE IT!

  • LOL Mario Van Peebles looks like a black Jerry Lewis.

  • Well, I never understood his line of logic. In his zero-star review for "Mad Dog Time", he said it SHOULD be cut up into ukulele picks for the poor. So are ukulele picks good or not, Roger?

  • "who are you? and what have you done with roger ebert?" great line!

  • Jurassic Park was great, but part three was lame and stupid. who is scared or excited by it?

  • I am scared 'cause of the sheer stupidity of it. What was Joe Johnston thinking!? I think he never saw JP and The Lost World to begin with.

  • "C'mon, give it up!"

Hahaha. These guys are the shit.

  • 2:35

"Okay. Our next movie... is NOT a strong piece of work."

Perfect definition of a shitty fucking movie.

  • heh ok. yeah. sorry either way

  • "because you've been robbed of your life..!"

Did you see the look Roger gave to Gene after he said that? Like he sensed there was more to it than that.

  • Yeah the Masterminds review was brutal.

    But I like Disclosure.

  • "Two hours gone forever....gone FOREVER."

    Haha.

  • Excellent job on these videos. Always get a kick watching the old reviews.

BIG NEWS FOR MANY...just heard about it. Ebert teased about a new movie show in future. He said it will involve Roeper, Michael Phillips, and AP critic Christy Lemire.

  • Ebert gave Cheaper by the Dozen 2 a thumbs up?!?!

    That's it. I quit. lol

  • Ebert is least cynical and he has different perspectives.

  • For "Fun Times 10.." you should put Siskel and Ebert's review of "Star Trek 5."

  • Patch Adams / Daylight / Dante's Peak (the dog)

  • the end of the review for american tail is really funny

  • They were too hard on American Tail! It's a classic and yes, it is a bit murky, but not all animated movies have to be like flowers and sweets. There has to be some rough movies as well.

  • whoa easy. I didn't say I hated American Tail or anything. I just thought how they critiqued it was really funny. I haven't seen American Tail in a while so I don't have a full opinion on it either. sorry

  • Hey, I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying. Yeah, the ending was funny though lol

  • One more suggestion: Silent Tongue

  • I want to thank you for the work it took to put these memories together. The show was a class act and I miss their intelligence, honesty, and fun. I enjoyed them and loved rewatching them . Thank you for this delightful treat.

  • I love these videos; Thanks!

Don't forget to add the review of "the wedding planner" from 2001 in the next video (should there be one); It's really one of the funniest reviews.

  • look at the review of War of the Worlds. its pretty funny and has a good moment where Ebert criticizes his own critic rating system

  • Keep them coming, Clement! More more!

  • Also a nightmare on elm street 3 is a little funny.

  • Great! Make sure in the guest video you include The Quiet, The Reaping, Premonition and Perfect Stranger. All of them quite funny reviews.

  • LOVE these...keep 'em coming!!

  • One more suggestion: The Core

  • You make amazing videos and your "Fun Times" are the best! Please keep it up!

  • Why did you include the Jurassic Park III bit? It's the only choice on these videos that isn't remotely funny - just a standard argument.

  • I love these videos.

BTW nice use of Zelda music

  • Another 48 hr and Daylight are very funny too.

  • more people should use video game music

  • You should include the review of Return of Swamp Thing in your next one. Ebert gives it thumbs up, and Gene is just sitting there with a hand on his head in disbelief. It's classic.

  • That is a very special moment, yes.

  • I just watched that one. You're right the look on Gene's face as Ebert defends ROST is just hilarious.

  • Please include The Sicilian in the next tribute. The way they rip Christopher Lambert is just great.

  • "This is air, this is vaccum, this is nothing, this is a complete waste of time"

    Lmao

  • Roger Ebert is too nice to movies like Garfield 2 or Cheaper By the Dozen 2 or Benjii The Hunted. And recently he gave 4 out of 4 stars to Knocking (starring Nic Cage). What the heck?

  • Knowing.....Knowing!!

  • whoops. Wrote Knocking instead of Knowing. I didn't even watch the movie so phft.

  • You didn't see the movie but you're knocking it?

  • "Who are u, and what've u done with Roger Ebert?"

  • That was the best!

  • "Two hours gone forever.........GONE FOREVER".

I have this sudden urge to play 'Ocarina of Time'. Keep up the great work.

  • great job! we never get bored of this.

"Cheaper by the Dozen 2" was just great (the review that is, not the movie)

  • Thanks! These are great!

  • Great video! Are you thinking about doing the tenth video of Siskel, Ebert, and Roeper?

  • Eventually.

  • I love your videos. Keep them coming!

  • I Loved "Masterminds"
