  • Drumdrumdrum11, read what I wrote! ( in the pocket)! I never said Chad doesn't have taste! They're both amazing drummers as Chad has incredible finesse and Jeremy has the amazing ability too create drum parts , again... In the pocket! Breaking Benjamin is lucky to have had Jeremy and now has Chad aboard! Cheers

  • he has double bass pedal which he uses for fills. When you see his leg always moving its just going with the rhythm (8th notes). jeremy went home for several weeks when his kid was being born to be a responsible adult and they just kept his temporary fill. I know this because i meet him every week at his house for lessons.

  • the only reason i say chad is better is cus he uses DW...

  • @sp33dstr3am that really truly couldn't be less of a reason.

'the only reason i say chad is better is cus he uses DW....'

    idiot.

  • @sp33dstr3am oh and BTW he does use DW. not his pedal, but i know for a fact considering i have played on his pearl kit he uses 3000 series DW hardware.

  • I agree with Spydr2000! Chad's a great drummer but Jeremy play's in the pocket without over doing a song. Rock on!

  • Both Jeremy and Chad are great drummers. I honestly think Chad goes a bit over board with ideas for a song. But my main point is if Jeremy isn't as good how come I don't see everyone nailing his drum covers on here? I've come across maybe 2 or 3 people that could actually play the parts right with the correct feel.

  • Chad is better

  • why did he get fired?????

  • @lollipopman70 cuz chad owns him

  • @lollipopman70

He became a responsible adult. The band had a problem with that.

  • idiots...jeremy recorded blow me away. jesus christ. ...although this video was made over 4 years after he was fired...so I would be surprised if he wasn't a little rusty playing these songs. I'm sure any of us would be. cut the man some slack all you chad loving shitheads!

  • @create42000 HAHAHA They are all idiots! Come on now guys, if you were really Breaking Benjamin fans you would have known that "Blow Me Away" was Jeremys last recorded song. It was also one of the songs that he filed suit for. Jeremy is an awesome drummer as is Chad but before you all say that Chad recorded this song get your facts straight.

  • @create42000 You know I agreed with you right? Jeremy was kicked out of the band for "chemistry issues", which was stated by Ben. Jeremy was on a 6 week paternity leave and got fired, plain and simple, a little messed up but what ever.

Oh and another thing for all the other people, Jeremy was fired late in 2004 (Sept). We Are Not Alone came out in the middle of 2004 along with the So Cold & Live EPs which all were recorded with Jeremy.

  • @unfinishedBridges absolutely. ...and that's it? that's fucked up. i had come to think it was because he helped write a few songs, and ben didnt want to pay him or credit him for it. or that since he and ben were the co founders, ben just wanted to fire him so he could have total band control. but "chemistry" issues? ...making it that far, and that having your legs taken out from underneath you...that's horrible. i love the bands sound with jeremy in the band. less POPPY sounding. thanks again.

  • @create42000 Back when this happened I stopped listening to Breaking Benjamin for a while. But what can you do, past is past. I have the Breaking Benjamin EP (from 2000) I love the sound, it's very raw.

  • @unfinishedBridges id def start listening to them again, the new drummer chad is way better and style is great, i mainly listen to the band becuase of chad

  • @create42000 poppy sounding? i myself am a drummer... both jeremy and chad are very talented. if your meaning the drums sound more 'poppy' then you're way off in genre. Chad has never played pop. ever. he grew up in jazz and marching band and did some old school rock. He was a fan of BBEN and sent in a VHS oh him playing a cover of so cold, and Ben said. something along the lines of "he's the one." Saying this they are both great drummers.

  • @chocolatecookie5 @chocolatecookie5 i wasn't talking about his drumming style being too poppy. reread what i said. i was referring too the earlier days of breaking benjamin, before they became too mainstream, and more radio friendly. Has nothing to do with the drummers, but the overall direction of the band. probably should've said "radio-friendly" rather than poppy...

  • @unfinishedBridges hahaha im glad at least someone knows

  • Bah!!! I prefer the way that Chad plays this song, Chad plays the bass drum parts only with his right foot, and Jeremy needs a double pedal...

  • @hugohvedder omG are y Retard all vids ive seen Jeremy plays with one bass pedal

  • @MrSaMreturns

Are U blind or stupid??? 2:25 just watch his f'ckin' legs, specially the left one...

    Idiot!

  • @hugohvedder omfG this is not bass pedal he keeps the rythm with this leg ... omG!

  • @MrSaMreturns

at some parts he using his leg for rythm, other parts he using double bass

  • Hello folks.

This is Jeremy Hummel writing. Just thought I would set the record straight here. I recorded the drums for Blow Me Away at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN.
