I saw Dark Angel back in the 80's at the Country Club in Reseda CA along with Slayer etc.. and sorry to say but D A were way ahead of there time and way more talented then Slayer progressively.

both slayer and dark angel are sick. before dark angel, gene hoglan used to hang around with slayer and taught dave lombardo a lot of what he knows. in turn slayer paved the way for bands like dark angel

Gene Hoglan reminds me of a fatter version of Dimebag, like putting Dime in Vinnie Paul's body. Anyway, great band that should have gone on to bigger and better. Playing live they sound phenomenal!

Gene told me that Ron literally broke his neck and was in a hospital for a while. Then he started playing again with his (not DA) band, and the headbanging fucked his neck again. Don Dotty, on the other hand, has become a christian, and wouldn't sing the old lyirics anymore. Too bad, because Dark Angel was fabulous!!!!!!!!!!
