  • DarkQuietWattON How are you coping with your Braille? I tried to contact you a few times but I couldn't as I do not really know how to access (or maybe remember) this site. Have you found any way to get on with Grade 2 Braille? As said before, Grade 2 Braille is formed from the first line of Grade 1. If you still encounter problems, do let me know. I will try to coach you from here.

  • ....but i use voice command on the pc for the web lol

  • well im blind i had no traioning ...but in my lkast ditch atempt im useing my eyes ....too set up my pvc and learmn over night ...i spent muy whole day readuing glass bottles and anuything i can ...im at kindergarten but if i go all night i should be ok ....

before this ive had to use the j button and count away ...its not that good lol

  • Is the camera-man blind too?

  • Reading Braille is by touch. You have to keep reading, reading & reading until the fingers become sensitive to the different dot formation. This cannot be done overnight. Transcribing, well, since I'm sighted, I can check whatever is keyed in before I print them out in Braille so I save paper. Braille is meant to be read by touch and not by sight.

  • DarkQuietWyattON: If you know the basic formation of Braille, I see no reason why you can't proceed. How did you learn Grade 1 Braille? There is a simple method of learning Braille. Who taught you & what was the method used? Grade 2 Braille is just a follow up of Grade 1 and it's easy. Every 'set' of contraction goes back to line 1, that if from alphabet A to J.

  • Blind children must learn Braille as like you say, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, all require the basic learning of whatever language, be it English, Japanese, etc to be able to write, read and communicate with others. Just like sighted people read print is essential, so goes with blind people reading Braille. It has contributed a lot to the world of the blind. Louis Braille had open a crucial door for the blind. As a sighted person, I transcribe Braille and I really enjoy my job.

  • @TheJanet001 I have been totally blind for about a year and half and I have found braille to be very hard. As a sighted person, do you transcribe braille by sight? You don't have to do it by feel right? I am not sure how that works but my teacher told me she knows braille by sigh.

I have mastered grade 1 braille but grade 2 is much harder

  • thank u!!!
