  • ARENA USA CONCHA TU MADRE!!

    ARENA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • asphault sprint cars? fuck this

  • fire crew EPIC FAIL

  • they dont know how to put out a fire

  • @chrisocar let's see you try to put out a fire started by racing fuel

  • @greatballzoffire1990 it not that hard if you know what your doing. that why you have firefighter who know ho to do it.

  • man they wipped that rescue truck out fast!

  • Not really relevant, but what is up with the fence in turns one and two? Lightpoles with some chainlink between them?

  • A fuel fire with water extinguishers? How fucking stupid.

  • sadest thing ever. sprintcars on assphault.

  • methanol fires are best extinguished with plain old water. Dry Chemical doesnt seem to smother it enough

  • that's a TOTAL FIRE CREW FAIL. I hope your track reassessed this cuz if he was still in the car he would be dead

  • @rexcars27 seriously ...

  • yah, its hard to put out when you use the wrong kind of fire extinguisher, fucking idiots....

  • That's correct gasoline is more flamiable than methonal that is why it is harder to start a car running on methonal and you sometimes squirt gas in the carb to help the fuel ignite

  • Man, what a useless fire fighting crew....

  • yep... me to... me to... fire is my worst nightmare...

  • Guys this is not a gas fire. Sprint Cars do not run Gas, they run methanol.

  • that indeed is a methanol fire. thats why there isnt huge flumes of black smoke also going up with it.

  • because their is no carbon in methanol it pays to listen in science class

  • That announcer is a jackass, only gas produces a flame like that, I would hate to catch fire at Toledo, terrible crew didnt even have the right stuff.

  • Methanol is harder to put out than gas but it is less flammable and has a colder flash point and methanol can be put out with water gas can not it just floats on top of the water. Shows how much you guys know. This was obviously a gas fire telling by the color of the flames.

  • thats not right methanol is easier to put out but the reason it took them so long to put it out is fuel would have been still coming out over the car and as long as their is fuel on the car everytime you put out one bit it will catch back up again

  • @haggis240 especially if they are using regular fire extinguishers and not ones designed to put out methanol fires.

  • it's good that he was ok. looks like we are having bbq sprint car for diner

  • not only is methonal "hard tp put out" it's 100x more flamable than gasolin, and can also burn with a "ghost" flame, explaining why the driver kept rolling on the ground with flames, he was still on fire!

  • gas is more flammable than methanol get your facts straight

  • no the fuck its not

  • Fuel for vehicles: Methanol is used on a limited basis to fuel internal combustion engines, mainly by virtue of the fact that it is not nearly as flammable as gasoline. Methanol is harder to ignite than gasoline and produces just one-eighth of the heat upon burning. Pure methanol is required by rule to be used in Champcars, Monster Trucks, USAC sprint cars (as well as midgets, modifieds, etc.), and other dirt track series such as World of Outlaws, and Motorcycle Speedway.

  • @alexcurtis99 world of outlaws does not run methanol....you need to learn a few things before you keep spouting bs

  • @supercomet32 dude you bumped your head! sprint cars all run on methanol. thats like saying top feulers dont run nitromethane. you are the one that needs to learn a few things lol.

  • "Very hard to put out".....well...get better equipment!

  • A racer's worst nightmare. Thank God he got out okay.

  • What Paved series is this? NSRA HOSS or the one in florida? Winged sprints on pavement can be just as wild as on dirt

  • that fire is huge

  • That driver could've accidentally stopped, dropped and rolled into the path of a car.

  • wow, what dumbasses, you never use water on a fuel fire...it spreads...

  • That was beyond stupid. The guy with the dry chemical line did not have a clue how to apply the agent. And they got way too close when they were not even kocking it down any. A normal water tanker with a 1 1/2 inch fog line would have been able to dillute the alcohol or a 60 gal CAFS skid on one of the pickups would have been better. Good thing the driver got his ass out because that crash crew was not worth shit.

  • if my brothers sprint ever caught on fire, I'd want you there, not them dip shits!

  • Stupid... They were using water fire extinguisher, the first two firemans, and water just spread gazoline fire in this situation. Water only works fine for solid combustible or methanol, since disolve methanol fast turning it non inflamable. But use for huge gazoline fire it's ridiculous.

  • funny part is you will find that sprintcars are methanol fueled so water is fine to use. methanol burns a very light blue thats why it is very hard to see in the day but it can be seen at night

  • Methanol fire was suposed to be easir to put dow than gasoline fire. I heard that sprint cars have some pieces made of magnesiun, and that could explain why the fire was so invencible here.

  • Some run magnesium wheels, which is why you see a very bright white flame after a little bit and the explains why the chem or water would not know the fire down.

  • Yeah. The fuel thanks are fragile too, and not with keylar bags inside as on Indy. Now imigine if the driver was trapped in the car... There is another video on youtuibe with this situation. The fireman tried to keep then flames away from the driver, since the fire was very hard to put out. It took long and the pilote got burns, but recovered and it's racing again. Thanks to fire resitant clothers, or the burns would be much worse.

  • these guys need to take some lessons from the safety crew at Oswego Speedway. they would have had that cleaned up right away. Go rhodes!!

  • sorry my mistake it wasent were he rolled it was just runnin down the track

  • look how the fire followswere he rolled on the floor and he can say bye bye 2 that sprintcar

  • Class D or foam.

  • I thought methanol burned clear at least the kind we use burns clear

  • holy shit. they got better shit than a damn water bottle now a days.

  • I got tired of hearing the stupid woman going "put it out, if that was my car...." what a dopey skank! it's Methanol!!!!

  • wouldent first priority be to put the driver out... not let the poor bastard burn right next to you

  • dude he wasnt on fire..

  • need some foam on that

  • never say never !!

  • must off been a hard hit because when sprintcars flip they never erupt the fuel....
