but i had it shiped to my address then i was going to send it to her then i seen these scams so i did not send it but i told her if she was real and she really cared about me she would prove to me that she was the same person has in the pics i told her to write my name on a paper and put it next to her face then take a pic but now days you can photo shop it so i dont know

I've done a little research since someone tried to scam me and found out that with these Nigerian romance scams, about 98% of them are male. You were probably talking to the scammers girlfriend, sister, cousin, etc. who is also in on the scam.
Sorry, but I don't understand how anyone can be foolish enough to fall for this. If you've ever even once talked on-line to someone from Nigeria who is pretending to be American, you can tell immediately. They use awkward grammar and have no understanding of American idiom.

I feel your pain I too develop a internet relationship only to find that the person was also from Lagos and lied claiming to be a traveling business man living in New York ...he had never been to the US. After many months he started asking for money...time to say goodbye ! Then I found his picture was of a male model.

you say "help me find her" however romance scammers very rarely use photographs of themselves. Therefore the girl pictured is most probably an innocent victim of the scam too, who has had her pictured ripped from social networking sites. Posting her image with the text "help me find her" is helpful to no one.

I recently had one of these scams pulled on me. She went by the name Anita Morgan. Email address was AnitaMorgan34@yahoo.com. She claimed to be in the U.K. going to Nigeria because of a will which would leave her with several estates worth 15-20 million dollars.
When she got stuck out there, and asked for money, a red alarm went off in my head and all of a sudden I felt really sick. How could somebody with so much money, need money that badly?
Hello I am sorry you got scammed... Best to move on and take note that the person in the photo does not need strangers contacting them, and sharing a scam passed love.

HAD A PD WHO TOLD ME DEAL OF JUST UTTERING AND FORGING. I NOW HAVE A FELONY RECORD I MYSELF HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGHT THESE SCAMMERS AS WELL. THEY ALSO HAVE ALOT OF PICS OF ME AS WELL.

Thank you so much for making this video. You did a really great job. I too am a victim of an internet dating scam, although there was no money given the effects are still devastating. I have also made 2 videos in an attempt to locate the victim pictured in their scams.

Don't know things that are common knowledge to most Americans.
Money requests: My scammer had only known me for about a week, then claimed "she" needed money for medicine for her sick mother.
Always want the money sent by Western Union, since its untraceable and once the funds are picked up by the scammer, can never be returned.
Oftentimes claim to be on "missionary" work in west Africa. If a supposed white man/woman claims that, it is a scam
