MG made a bit of a cock up with the SV. first they marketed it as a super car when its a muscle car and then there was the 80 grand price tag which was far too expensive when you consider you could get a TVR for 40 still an awesome car though. stunningly beautiful and fast just a shame it was so short lived
that car is amzing , it has the engine of a mustang, only improved, the mean look of the corvette, an interior that altough sporty is very nice and full of leather, and then to top it all off the reliability of a tvr (well all good cars have some bad points)
this prototype XP3, (with a revised interior by MG prior to bust) has now been purchased at auction and is out of the UK.
as is XP2 and XP4.
XP1 as far as i know is in the UK. all featured in D Knowles SV development book

this is actually prototype XP3, a prototype built in grp and fibreglass, to look the same as the carbon fibre production car.
built on a modified Qvale mangusta chassis (the wipers are the opposite to the SV chassis!)

I own a couple of Rovers and it's a shame that MG rover went under but seriously this video looked like a cheap and shoddy effort.
