In his later "French period," Cioran bitterly regretted having supported the Iron Guard and his philosophy became far too pessimistic to be compatible with political idealism of any stripe.

Great video though; more people need to be exposed to Cioran. I personally find his work to be even more appealing than Nietzsche's.

@ral1334 After having read "On the Heights of Despair" recently, I believe that Cioran's pessimism was always incompatible with the Iron Guard. Of course, Cioran was willing to make philosophical comprises in hopes that his dream of a glorious and powerful Romania would be realized.
