many thanks to the great audience, too, having right feeling not to disturb this great moment after fade out of this indescribable music and to let time to come back from a magnificent universe to reality - thanks to poster not to cut big applaus following this magic moment :)
These Strauss' Vier letzte Lieder are from a concert of the Finnish Radio symphony orchestraon 12th January 2005 at the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, Finland.
angles have been landed! Strauss hislast piece - not a simple end, but a total end of a period on our little planet! it will always make me remember to my angel, I met 1991 and lost 1993. but we will meet again. today she showed me why I had to go on. thank you for making my path filled with sunlight.
I love her rendition of the Four Last Songs for the delicacy, subtlty and nuance. And I particularly like the not too heaviness. These songs are not about dark, scary death, but they are about death that is a natural part of the universe.
What a wonderful voice! I heard her by accident on a holiday in Yorkshire, as she won second price at the Cardiff "singer of the world" contest. The BBC-lady who spoke about Soile Isokoski seemed to be more than happy with her "4 last songs" too :-). Thanks for posting this!

@tenore23 Hmm. I'm not sure if that was sarcastic! It was meant to change the title to the correct one.

@sairamnagarajan and if you look at the tile, it was changed. That was not sarcasm at all.

Magnificent performance that puts her in the league of the other fine singers who have performed this elegy. Very sensitive accompaniment.

This is a fantastic musician, and I'm so glad to see she's finally getting recognition here. I heard her in Chicago, and she was marvelous!

Gorgeous music and performance. The recording she did in 2002 with Marek Janowski directing is even better than this.
