  • Excellent - can you name the performer?

  • Isao Tomita?

  • Wow. You got it! So, I'm not the only Tomita fan out there, huh?

    Thanks!

  • hee hee actually I don't really like Tomita, but he's unique.

  • Nice video!! I like his work so much im having a 3 worlds picture tattoo put on my arm. Im 4 hours into it and have about 5 left to finish, im pertty excited

  • Hey, I'd like to see a photo of that tat when it's completed! You should post a small video of it. Thanks!

  • Nice vid! My love of Eschers work began when I was given a birthday card 20 years ago with the fish and leaves, loved it so much I had it framed!

  • Yeah, there is a reason why his work is so popular. He really taps into our need for fantasy and awe. His prints never seem dated or gimmicky, but always cutting edge and fresh. Thanks, Jon

  • Quite a while ago, I went to an Escher exhibit in a small San Francisco gallery. His "Metamorphisis"stretched clear around one of the rooms. Amazing!

  • Boy, that must have been a sight! I have never seen any of his works other than through books & videos. Wouldn't you love to spend an evening with him?

  • His work has fascinated me since I was little. I think it's amazing! Thanks for the video!

  • Me too! Thank you for favoriting it.

  • he's the best... its acctually basic drawing techniques.. but the way he combines them is just brilliant...

  • What I like about his work is that I can always return to it and it always seems fresh, so innovative. A genius.

  • I've seen better tributes, but this is not bad.

  • Artistic genius. Thanks. There were a couple of illustrations I hadn't seen before.

  • man i love escher...that man was way beyond his time..

  • Yeah... It's easy to get lost in some of his pieces. His love of mathematics and topology opened huge vistas for him... and us!

  • my mom has a numbered lith hanging on her wall..love that peice

  • Wow. Which piece and what number is it? I bet you returned to that image over and over as a child. Very cool.

  • its the one called "other world"...and yea..it was a major focal point in our house...will have it hanging on my wall someday...the number is hidden by the edge of the frame so i am not sure which

  • Have always loved Escher's work. Thanks for this!

  • Very trippy! Way to go, Jon.

  • Thank you! My favorite artist/mathematician. He was one-of-a-kind.

  • That was Incredible... Wonderful Video...
