  • Richard sounds like one of the gouls from fallout. And I mean that out of respect

  • They're not hobos.

  • And yes the bootlegger saved him from suicide, he saw Richard in the woods watching the phesant "what the birds are up to" then sent the dog to interupt him when he was about to off himself. Then of course there is the speach at the end of the clip.

  • They aren't actually hobos, on the show one asks if Richard is a prohibition agent, when he say no, he offers him a flask of his whiskey. Richard drinks it and says its strong, the hobo says thats because I made it that way. They are bootleggers, maybe not professionals, but bootleggers just the same

  • When I saw this scene, I cried. It reminded me of a talk me and a good friend had once, and I am certain a life was saved. Talk to people.

  • This is actually the most poignant and powerful scene in the show, thus far. It relates to a serious real-life issue and an epidemic.....Suicide. The rest of BE is frickin celluloid gold but it's about gangsters and hi-fluten crime, something most of us will never know about. But this could and probally does, hit home to a multitude of people. Bravo to all involved in that scene, very touching.

  • @Lantho650 Also said hes going back home. Def not homeless lol

  • probably my most favorite speech in the whole of tv history

  • thats a fucking cool dog!

  • Richard's voice is so fucking sexy.

  • This is an excellent scene, I realized at the end of it that my mouth was hanging open like I was in shock.

  • I love how rhichard just stuffs the refuse in his pocket...I said while pointing:"That's me! I do that all the time!" I once stuffed a half-eaten cheeseburger in my coat pocket once because I couldn't find a garbage can, only to forget about it and find it hours later.

Also, love the "oh shit" look richard gets in his eye after he realizes the guy knew about the suicide attempt the whole time. Classic.

Finally: Hobos? I don't think hobos own cars.

  • @cologey That was a POWERFUL scene. I had to tell myself to breathe after that scene, because it make me almost hyperventilate. Afterward, I said to my housemates: "WOW...-exhale-"

Almost NOTHING makes that happen to me. I slow-clapped for all the awe.

  • these guys werent hobos, just guys with no job and no money that lived in the woods...haha

  • these guys weren't hobos, just guys who enjoy the woods, nature, hunting, getting away from their wives and just chilling, eating, drinking, bullshitting

  • @cbarrett34 Indeed. Call me a "radical" but I don't think hobos own cars.

  • @kilderok these guys weren't hobos. they were regular people who just liked going into the woods, to hunt, chill out, relax, drink, probably leave the wives for a bit. people think they were living in the woods, no they weren't

  • @cbarrett34 I know, that's what I was insinuating. It's obvious they aren't hobos.

  • @cbarrett34 for living-not dumping off the dead

  • When I watched this i thought they were going to go Deliverance on Richard.

  • @Thescreensaverr ha.."Go deliverance" but yeahh.. so did I.

  • @Thescreensaverr Richard would have gutted both hobos and fed them to the dog if they tried.

  • "These woods are for living, not blowing your own head off with a shotgun, Richard..."

  • @propheci LMFAO!!!

  • @kilderok I'm pretty sure that's what he was trying to imply.

  • a wise dude

  • they were just men who like going out into nature and hunt for food. that doesn't make you a hobo

  • They weren't hobos, just hunters
