  • What kind of warrior gets up after being hit that hard by foreman.

    Not only that, 6 times.... ! ! !

    LEGEND

  • To quote one of Foremans opponents, "he hit so hard I thought I saw the Messiah"

  • That upper cut that caused the 2nd knockdown was fucking lethal!

  • Im in awe at Fraziers condition after taking those punches. Only an elite legendary HW could withstand that damage without being unconscious with his back on the canvas.

What a treat for all sports fans that these two met in the ring.

  • i really want fights like this in todays hw

  • Generally from what I have seen the ref only calls pushing a foul if they actually push the person hard enough to knock them down. Foreman has the range so Frazier is trying to walk him down and Foreman is trying to prevent that. Nothing dirty about it.

  • those pushes from Foreman were way worser than amir khans.lol

  • David and Goliath. the only difference is David lost. damn though he has more heart that anyone Ive ever seen in this world. R.I.P. Joe Frazier. Oh and people say Ali invented the Rope a Dope, but after seeing this i don't know. look at how Frazier hugs the ropes and lets punches deflect and slide

  • @ScottsSelfDefense That's not the rope a dope. You a thinking if the 'Philly Shell' I think.

Archie Moore is probably one of the earliest fighters to rope a dope... or the likes of Jake LaMotta. It's a fight plan/tactic... not a defensive style. Think 'playing possum'.

  • I still think frazier is better than foreman

  • Former heavyweight world champion Joe Frazier was arrested in February 2004 after police responded to a 911 domestic violence call from his North Philadelphia home. When police arrived a woman, the mother of Frazier's son, answered the door. She told the police that Frazier had hit her and there were injuries to her face to back up the claim.

  • lol ali the greatest get real get off the band wagon and come up with your own actual opinions on the facts frazier beat ali 2 times ali danced and nothing more spit your hate comments but like i said come up with honest facts dont just claim him to be the best because tv or movies say so he is far from it good fighter not great though

  • @TheWiggles1982

Before actually learning something about the sport you're so severely uneducated about,go read a book or two, maybe go back to school, and correct your appalling level of grammar, you absolute retard,LOL.

  • i have a question from what i have seen how come every time Frazier fought foreman he fits out like in this one and there was another one i saw where he stamped around the ring and bashed his own head

  • I agree the fact that tyson came along at the right time though but you cant really compare different eras together in match ups.

  • Lewis and Foreman were completely different types of boxers. That is a very unusual comparison!!!

  • @Rayman77792 thanks for the comment. I just thought George Foreman missing 10 years of boxing to become a born again Christian and then becoming the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history is extraordinary. Imagine if he never missed 10 years of boxing!!

  • @chrismcalla Yea has too be one of the greatest, if not THE greatest feat in heavyweight history, amazing.

Imagine that he didn't retire, imagine for a moment that his training didn't consist of 3 sets of 10 push ups, a bit of wood chopping, run a mile with a 4x4 strapped to his back and a few rounds on the heavy bag? imagine if he didn't live on steaks and mcdonalds? imagine if he used some boxing technique instead of arm punches?...

  • Imagine then if he swapped the life style of say vitali klitchko, trained at high altitude, ate organic healthy food, took advanced supplements/protein drinks/vitamins. did some power lifting, proper cardio, worked on his technique?

Well in that case people would have died in there, i have no doubt about that.

    Long live george foreman.

  • If boxing had kept the London Prize Ring Rules Foreman would have killed Ali and Fraizer.

  • @snoop- amen

  • I won't remember him as the guy who got knocked down six times, but as the guy who got back up every time.

  • @snoopdogsballs YES!! exactly, apart from ali, has any other boxer shown the heart that frazier has?? granite chin and unstoppable will, just that he ran into the human wrecking machine that is big george foreman..

  • To all of you who curse Amir khan for pushing and shoving..must watch this video closely.whenever joe tried to work inside foreman was Pushing Pushing Pushing and Pushing :)

  • @sahirss Yea i used the example of george forman in my defense of Amir, however that was from a by gone age, Amir should not have been pushing like that as much as he did, he needs to learn how to defend and fight on the inside, instead of running straight backward he needs to follow many and step to the side, and fire back, stay in the pocket and counter punch. make the opponent pay.

He has talent, but has many things to learn, i dont know whether freddie is the right person for the job.

  • 6 times down !! a massacre

  • foreman biggest punch ever

  • Foreman is pushing all the time frazier away, is that legal? just a doubt

  • @watupmile it's technically a foul, but a ref seldom warns the fighter if the pushing isn't too extreme. big George made a career out of pushing his foes at the exact punching range where his power was most devastating. but hey, nobody warned him, so why stop.

  • @watupmile yeah it's legal

  • 2:27 I swear that was a slip because if you look closley the upper cut actully misses and the jab wouldn't have got him down

  • @revelation6415 That punch did land....It's the one that hurt Frazier bad.

  • 4:28 he jumped i da air

  • i was born 16 years after during the onslaught with raging iron mike tyson. And i'm glad i was around during tyson's prime!!

  • I only wonder why the fight wasn't stopped sooner.

  • fockin hell that was like watchin a lion eat a deer.

    rip smokin joe

  • とんでもない怪力だな。

    his strength is extraordinary.

  • Poor Joe Frazier, It's interesting that it was Muhammad Ali who came and knockout big bad George...yes Ali avenged him him after all..

  • Close fight.

  • frazier threw the fight.

  • @com6dian

    Frazier's fighting spirit is great!

  • @com6dian This is why boxers spend 10 years fighting and 30 years suffering the effects of fighting. This fight should have been stopped WAY before it was, and I'm disgusted that Frazier's own corner didn't throw in the towel earlier when the ref had obviously failed in his obligations as an official.

  • @Valyn66 You're disgusted? Frazier wanted to continue fighting. His corner didn't force him to do shit. His corner didn't force him to box either. Quit talkin'.

  • @d0ctorgrany Shut the fuck up you little moron. Frazier was an incredible fighter, but no man should be allowed to stand there getting hit flush no matter how much heart he has.

That's the whole point. He was dazed and hurt and the only thing that kept him standing was his own willpower. But he was done. Don't you hear Angelo Dundee screaming at the ref to stop the fight? Anyone who knows boxing can see it should have been stopped.

Let the adults talk now, little moron.

  • It doesn´t matter who won this match. Important is Foreman, Frazier, Ali, and all these boxers have fought for the win.

The Klitschko´s PAY for the win!!!!

  • I think that the Tyson under c'us damato before he died would be able to defeat anyone he really knew how to cut the ring and was really fast on top of that great punching power .

  • @Garrikpz

So you think Tyson could defeat Foreman, if both of them were in the prime?

  • @tatuzou1000 maybe but i dont think he could

tyson had awesome hand speed and serious power but his chin was questionable and he was afriad of old foreman(he point blank refused to fight him)

foreman had inhuman power relativley poor technique he had a fantastic chin to

tysons style is suicide against foreman and he knew it

tyson has to get inside and that means sooner or later your gonna get hit FUCKING HARD by either hand

  • @Garrikpz

    no lol not foreman

  • foreman moves like a robot! xD

  • oh this is foreman v frazier i thought it was foreman v tyson

  • Im Vergleich zu dem ist das, was man heute Boxen nennt ein Witz

  • 4:31 Chicken dance

  • Foreman would have beat Tyson worse than Buster Douglas did, and faster than Douglas did.

  • clash of the titans.

  • How about Tyson instead of Frazier?

    Could Foreman win?

  • RIP Joe Frazier !!!!

  • George was a monster in the early seventie whose menace made Tysons seem like that of a schoolboy. On Ringside, the Sky Sports boxing show, in their tribute to Smokin Joe they seemed strangely unaniminous that Frazier would have beaten Tyson. I think Tyson in his prime would have knocked him out quicker than Foreman simply because of Frazier's fearless attacking style.

  • @flaxonx3 Furthermore, Joe is an exponentially better human being than Tyson will ever be. God rest his sould. Quite frankly, I would not even care if Tyson died.

  • @1992lance I didn't comment to compare Tyson & Frazier as human beings, didn't know either of them personally. It's their boxing abilities I'm interested in. RIP Joe & Long Live Tyson.

  • George was a monster in the early seventies, for menace, he made Tyson look like a schoolboy.

  • @com6dian I have always had so much respect for Joe. What I'm watching here doesn't seem real. How did Foreman do this to him? I just don't get it.

  • @1spati George Foreman was much taller and much heavier than Frazier . Just superior in size, though both were "heavyweights." Physical mismatch, basically.

  • As a huge Smokin' Joe this one is tough to stomach. Foreman was a terrible match up given Foreman's size and strength. Joe was the ultimate warrior, but he had to come straight on. A guy like Ali was just far more versatile and could skin a cat many ways. Frazier was pretty much straight ahead and pure power with the devastating left hook. Not bad for a guy who was nearly blind in one eye. RIP Smokin' Joe and thank you for all you did!!

  • dam frazier got beat down in this one..

  • Did The Jamaican Government at the time pay loads to get them to fight over their? If so anyone know how much?

  • Any of you idiots hating on Smokin joe keep in mind George foreman is one of the hardest punchers in boxing history probably only behind earnie shavers and Smokin Joe just kept getting back up over and over again....HEART! RIP SMOKIN JOE

  • Ali, Foreman, Hollyfield, Tyson, Frezier. Nowdays we have heavy weight for boys. In days of this guys it was a blood sport for real man.

Will better times come? I am fed up with domination of Klitschkos brothers, and their laim opponents

  • If Muhammed Ali never existed George Foreman would of been the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time.

  • @chrismcalla That honor still belongs to Joe Louis. More heavyweight title defenses than any other boxer.

  • r.i.p. joe frazier? IDIOTS! LEGENDS NEVER DIE!

  • @laptopmenu Uh, so you're not much of a boxing fan, are you?

Foreman was well known as one of the hardest punchers in the world... yes, even harder than Smokin' Joe. He doesn't hit Frazier in the back of the head. He hit him in the side of the face and then threw a punch which, though directed to his head which was turned, never connected.

Pushing? Every boxer does it. Are you going to call Floyd Mayweather a cheat, too? He does it even more than Foreman did.

  • Forman was the coldest!

  • If only heavy weights fought like this today. RIP Joe.

  • with a small chanse, foreman could beat even ali

  • R.I.P. Smockin' Joe Frazier

  • REST IN PEACE JOE FRAZIER

  • RIP Joe, respect.

  • He got beat up but ali avenged him

  • @dallascowboyzzz9 I don't think Ali was looking out for Joe's best interests......I mean let's get real here....ha ha ha.

  • Ali didn't exactly avenge him. Frazier hated Ali until the day he died, which was recently. Ali deliberately demonized Frazier in the eyes of the Black community, and in the process, treated the issue of race in an irresponsible manner at a time when racial tension was very high. Frazier and his son were getting death threats cuz of the stuff Ali was saying. Ali also portrayed him as ignorant. Frazier had no problem with Foreman and actually respected him. Ali didn't beat Foreman for Frazier

  • @fntaa0 i dont think he always hated him.. you ever watch facing ali?

  • @fntaa0 Ali did not 'demonize' Joe Frazier. Please get your facts straight. Black people did not like Frazier from the beginning because Frazier himself turned his back on the black community. Ali only called it like it was, in that, yes, Frazier was an uncle tom. I know this because I lived through that time. And being a black man myself, I know an uncle tom when I see one, and Frazier was one. So there!

  • @dallascowboyzzz9 Frazier is such a great fighter and Ali had respect for him behind it, but Ali would have beaten him in his prime so many people say Frazier would win on stamina but Ali had good stamina to and better boxing ability

  • @revelation6415 Ali had very little boxing ability he relied on his physical abilities. Watch his fight(in his prime) with George Chavulo who had a similar style to Fraizer and you will see Ali take a beating. He won a decision but he went home peeing blood from battered kidneys. Chavulo is a bumb compared to Fraizer. Fraizer could have beaten Ali in his prime.

  • @Rayman77792 Thats not true now is it? ali was the most talented heavyweight of all time, that along with his supreme tactics, speed, footwork, heart, chin and stamina is why he is the first and only heavyweight to win 3 lineal titles, against the best opposition. He didn't have good fundamentals, he didn't do textbook stuff, but he is talented. frazier did beat ali near his prime, frazier was one of the greats no question.

  • @cousinwes1 ever heard of joe louis?

  • @Rayman77792 Let me tell you ali was the greatest no boxing ability? Rubbish, he was playing with Chuvalo he didn't take a beating what fight have you been watching?

  • foreman couldnt that to ali.....rip frazier

  • @ivan3028 He couldn't do that to Ali? Joe almost killed Ali, they almost killed each other. Joe Took the butterfly down remember that.

  • frazier aint scared of king kong

  • R.I.P JOE...

  • Thats the worst referee ever in history of boxing Joe never recuperate since the first knockdown Foreman almost kill him

  • Loved Joe, but that was a straight beat down. He kept throwing the left but just couldn't connect. Heart all the way. Foreman was just beastly that night tho.

  • Rip Frazier schade schade

  • R.I.P

    Frazier

  • RIP Joe

  • R.I.P "Smoking" Joe Frazier THE BEST

  • rip joe

  • i was shocked smokin joe the best left hook in boxing history r.i.p

  • Best left hook the world has ever seen. RIP Joe

  • fantastic boxer RIP CHAMPION

  • heart of a lion. rip

  • RIP JOE you will always be missed

  • ...and down goes Frazier!

that is the only way you can't get up!

    R.I.P great champion!

  • wow, they should have stopped the fight in the first round. RIP joe frazier

  • R.I.P Joe......boxing will never be the same!!!

  • RIP JOE

  • RIP Joe.

  • R.I.P. Joe Frazier.

  • Dirty of not, Foreman kicked his ass

  • "R.I.P. SMoking Joe Frazier"

  • I don t like Foreman. Very dirty style. Frazier was noble and all heart though they expose hinself too much. Fight in peace Joe.

  • A good man, very decent person was loved by just about everyone... Rest well brave warrior you had the heart of a LION

  • R.I.P. Joe.

  • RIP Joe. You are remembered.

  • Shoryuken!!!

  • Cosell mighta said "Down goes Frazier" but he never said "Frazier gets up." RIP Smokin Joe. God rest you.

  • RIP Joe.

  • rip joe from tijuana mx

  • RIP brother

  • R.I.P. Joe Frazier

  • Just want to say that I wish "Smokin' Joe" happy trails. He is in hospice care and of course that means it's just a matter of time. My dad passed in August while under hospice. To the family: God speed to you. Thanks for sharing "Smokin' Joe" with the world. God bless.

  • frazier down again..... and again..... and again..... and again?!

  • Foreman pushed Fraizer many times.

    Ref should warn him.

  • wow

  • horrible judge ..it was a 1 round KO

  • 4:30 looks funny...

  • Foreman prime destroys Tyson prime in 3 rounds.

  • tysons a better version of fraizer in my opinion when it comes to ftoowork and power ali had trouble with fraizer but ali was intelligent and the same tactic he used against fraizer wouldve worked against tyson both men come to he inside ali clinches and hits them with jabs when theyre on the outside same thing that lewis did to tyson, in this fight foreman would just push fraizer cause hes that powerful lol

  • i never understand why ali didnt just use his speed to beat fraizer granted he didnt have the punching power that george foreman has but still

  • frazier doesn't have a bad chin, he had a great chin. problems was that foreman was one of the strongest punchers ever and ole frazier tried to duck an uppercut. which quite frankly you can't do.

  • the way i see it ali won most of his fights because of all the hugging... why didnt he beat marciano?? iif you pay attention he dint hug marciano

  • Why didn't Foreman challenge Ali to a rematch? All the trouble that Ali had with Frazier and Foreman knocks him out twice. It seems that the rope-a-dope is the only way that Ali could beat him. I think George could have taken Ali in a rematch.

  • holy fuck foreman looks like a mount of muscle o_O

  • Make that TWO BAD LOSES he fought Foreman TWICE

  • I think that people often take this fight way too seriously when they judge the great fighters of the 60s and 70s. Sure Frazier was beaten real bad here, but he was undefeated up to this point, having beaten people like Ellis, Bonavena, Chuvalo, Quarry, and even Ali! I think Frazier is a top 15, maybe even top 10 heavyweight of all time. Try not to take too much away from a fighter for just one bad loss.

  • mike tyson, ali, foreman, all great boxers but.. theirs something about frazier that just seems fantastic, he never stops, always keeps going forward. heart of a lion

  • Damn this era had frazier, foreman and ali, as well as others earlier on such as liston etc, who do we have now....just the kiltschkos?

  • I give Frazier more guts then Ali, Frazier dared to go toe to toe fight with Foreman. Ali went for the rope a dope technique, right on.

  • This is the worst ass whooping I have ever seen! What a beat down! Poor frazier!

  • I remember this fight well being in HS when it happened Joe Frazier talking smack in the build up to the fight said to George "I`m gonna send you back to your childhood Georgie" ahahahah How did that turn out? It was Frazier looking for his little RED WAGON after those Foreman BOMBS !!!

  • tyson would pushed ali's shit in... one punch from tyson... out goes ali.. no one punched as hard as tyson. in his prime tyson wouldve beat him in the 3rd...

  • @eliseocaballero hahaha thats kinda funny

  • @eliseocaballero just wana say this have you ever seen the youtube video of oliver mcall v mike tyson sparring? lol mcall was beating mike kevin rooney was holding his head in his hands cus mike was getting fucking demolished. and mike finally resorted to hitting mcall in the kidneys and fowling him. lol if mcall could beat tyson then so could ali

  • @eliseocaballero imo foreman and shavers hit harder than tyson + ali had 1 of the best chins ever

tyson was fast as hell ali was even faster!

tyson wasnt anywhere near as clever in the ring as ali

  • wow foreman was a beast, great timing on those uppercuts. You gotta give smokin joe a hand as well he took that beating like a real man............. sum1 commented frazier has more heart then ali and foreman combined?!?!? yeah right u must not have seen ali vs foreman, ali took 10 times the beatin frazier jus took. Watch foreman vs holyfield, foreman takes everything holy dishs to him

  • @MrScarface6055 for me frazier has more heart then ali and ali has more heart then george.you may ask how?joe fought ali 15 rounds in the last he knocked him down with a devastating left hook but ali got up right away like it was nothing joe fought the thrilla in manila half blind and got hit with shots that would brought down george foreman hundred times he had no"rope a dope" he took the punchies in the face.george was knocked down in the 7th round with a direct joe doesnt feel alis punchies

  • @MyDenis0 all 3 had amazing heart

i couldve knocked george out when ali did because ali made foreman wear himself out that badly he could barely stand up!!!

iho ali is the greatest but big george is my favourite (and not far behind ali either)

  • rc2869 - you are truly ignorant of boxing history. ali's liver never recovered from the pummeling from Foreman's body shots. Also Foreman hit Ali in the back, a quasi-legal punch (that would have "knocked down any man on earth, ACCEPT Ali" exact quote from Foreman) and Ali, in agonizing pain, TOOK it. Ali said, to George, "that all you got," and Formean said exact quote, "yep, that's about all I got." Point-Foreman hit Ali's body as never before. Ali took it and was Champ again!

  • Body punches set the victory up - it is what foreman should have done v Ali.

  • What happen to black fighters????

  • There were some tough boxers around at that time. Ali, Frazier, Norton, Foreman. Anyone who was champ at that time truly deserved it. We were lucky to see so many great boxers. Most of todays boxers would not last one round with these greats.

  • @ancietman absolutely true

  • @ancietman LOL. oh so bowe, holyfield, lewis, tyson, the klitchkos, larry holmes wouldnt of lasted? lol wow here we go. they would of beaten them like they beat eachother. just cuz the 70's were classics DOESNT mean they're the best.

  • @flchamp1 Most of the fighters you listed are either retired or past their prime. I said the fighters of today. Are any of them still fighting apart from Klitchkos.

  • @ancietman oh ok you meant as of 2011. fighters today are very large and only the ones in shape would have competed not won but competed. the klitchkos (even tho competition is hard to find for them) are very good. wladimir has the skills and vitali is psycho. vitali's crazy and a warrior type fighter. i believe both these men have the talent to beat legends.

  • @flchamp1 i honestly think frazier ali or foreman would beat both (frazier might struggle due to the size difference)

ali had inhuman speed and ring craft

foreman is the most devastating human to ever set foot in the ring!

all 3 had very very good chins and were brave

klitchkos are good (well never know how good) but i think those 3 would beat them (foreman would seriously damege them!)

  • Joe had the biggest determination in boxing history. Kept getting up

  • He. Just. Kept. Standing. Up. Joe Fraziers heart was bigger than alis and foremans together
