i want the dream act to pass so i can join the marines...what can be more american then being a marine... people focus on the tax payers money and how its going to go to illegal immigrants for college and not US citizens and that its not right but what about people like me who dont want to go to college and dont want ur tax money i just want to be a marine that means serving this country and all thats expected of marines
I support the DREAM ACT, only for students like you, which are 1 out of 10,000, otherwise NO, Dream Act should be for people getting 3.0 and above in HS, or JC.
Obama is a clever fellow who imbibed hatred of America with his mother’s milk, worked his way up the ladder of education & career.
He shares resentment of Muslims against the encroachment of American culture, although not their religion. Hes lives with his subjects, learns their language & elicits their hopes & fears & remains at a emotional distance. He's equivalent of a sociopath. The difference is ,he's practicing not on a primitive tribe but on the population of the USA
...."I would rather have it happen now rather than waiting 2 years."
Yes, so because one would rather not be bothered with all that waiting silliness, just come illegally. I mean, what's a silly federal law, what are rules for? What's a border all about? I mean, it's just plain old mean to make an immigrant do the legal thing!
Those who say they shouldn't be punished for being brought here by their adult family members. What about the family members, why aren't they being detained & deported? Is the NEW law, anyone with children will not be deported? If thatSs the case, anyone who breaks laws & has children not be detained or prosecuted? Citizens R entitled to equal treatment under the law. R the legislators saying that illegals R above R laws & consequences, but R own people aren't? Vote These Politicians OUT!
@onstageagain Yes, I do believe that is exactly what they're saying, and shitty legislation like this is blatant descrimination against American citizens who are forced to subsidize these people rather than help their own children. If that isn't illegal I don't know what is. And all these people from Mexico think they deserve to be put to the absolute front of the line above every other group, even above legal immigrants who do the right thing. Insanity rules this country I swear.
so some jackass illegal can go be a cook for 2 years in the army and .........bingo-50 family members become instant americanos? How the fuck does that make any sense?America is already broke. We're a debtor nation, duh?
@Metallicat100 So let me get this straight. You prefer to have the legal migrants come here- which have a strong loyalty to their nation still- as opposed to granting the Dream Act which will help individuals who grew up here and are as American as you are? I have to live my life knowing that a person who has no loyalty to America gets American benefits with the visas that are granted every year. Yet me, who happened to grow up here and has loyalty to America, has to live in the shadows.
@Metallicat100 So you can't say that an illegal is not American, just like you can't say that a legal person is American. I know this one dude who had about 2 months here in the United states, he did not speak English, and I can guarantee you he is more Mexican than me. He has a visa and is therefor legal, while I do not have anything and have lived here since the age of nine. I am clearly an illegal( yet I'm American), and he is legal( but clearly Mexican since he is 30 and just arrived)
@Metallicat100 So he is a Mexican with documents who is not American, and I'm an illegal American. You need to get your terminology straightened out. Do you prefer American raised people or complete foreigners? We have obviously ended up in a tight situation, we are foreign born and American raised. So we are not from there, that is not my home- we are also not from here, since people say we don't belong here, even tho this is my home. Maybe someday you will see things from the eyes of others.
@UniverseOffspring Nitpicking over terminology doesn't remove the fact that illegal means not legal. If you have a problem with my viewpiont, bitch your parents out for putting you in this situation in the first place. You 'ended up' in that situation thanks to them, not to me. If this is your home, do something about becoming legal to show you mean business. Until then I'm tired of my kids being told 'NO' while illegals get put to the front of the line-all on my tax dollars.
@UniverseOffspring As usual, you people can only hurl insults when challenged with the truth. How many of your relatives are you going to invite to invade us now "I'm an American"?
@Metallicat100 I was simply returning your insult. I am here waiting to become legal the legal way. I would just rather have it happen now and not 2 years from now. I could improve a lot in that time if I attended a university. I don't think your real cause for concern should be another person trying to make it in this world, I think you should be worried about the rich elite masses which hoard vast amounts of wealth by using us. As usual, they have us fighting over scraps.
@UniverseOffspring Why don't you let me decide what my cause for concern should be, hmm? It's my tax dollars you are going to take rather than give to my own kids mmmk? Thanks. Oh and by the way I am not such a terrible person as to hope you do the right thing with the advantage you have over my own children. Good day.
@Metallicat100 Just face it, me and many other individuals are as American as you are and as American as apple pie.lol. There are some technicalities that are holding us back and teaching us a life lesson. Many of the people I went to school with have their documents now even tho they arrived after me. I was supposed to have jumped to the front of the line since I was the child of a naturalized resident, I made a mistake and must wait now, now all migrants will go before me.
@Metallicat100 I think you just hate us Mexicans for some reasons, considering the fact that the U.S will grant over 500,000 visas this year and every year to foreigners- granting them access to pretty much every tax funded privilege and letting them take your jobs. So are you standing for the laws or for your "tax dollars"? There are just some technicalities that determine which side you're on, migrant or immigrant, they are pretty much the same- we are humans.
@Metallicat100 I bet if you saw me and my friend face to face, you wouldn't even know which is the illegal one. Even my American born brothers face discrimination by job interviewers, it's like they find it hard to believe that a person can be Mexican and be legal. Ignorant people just like you.
@UniverseOffspring Another insult. Whatever. Oh and by the way, I am part Mexican. Now what? People like you always miss the point. I have been descriminated against for NOT being fully Mexican or looking "Mexican enough" or speaking Spanish. I have lost jobs over this. My husband gets messed with at his job because he's the only white person on his entire crew. I don't hate Mexicans but you can't deny they are at least 95% of the illegals here in the United States. Ignorant? Right.
@Metallicat100 I don't know, this bill is referring to people who grew up here in the united states and are American by nurture. If you had six kids and had an alcoholic husband and were struggling to make ends meet without a job and with very little government help- plus the legal way of coming here was not an option since they are extremely picky- would you wait a few more years and maybe lose some children or would you test your luck and try to make it to the united states?
@Metallicat100 Don't respond to me with a "strawman fallacy" just answer the question and if you have a fraction of understanding in you, you will see how I and many others ended up here and why amnesty was a good thing- as far as helping those in need goes. My parents were lucky enough to gain amnesty which set the improvement of our lives in motion.
@Metallicat100 If illegals can get permission from every single person waiting in line to come here the right way to line jump them, then they can go to the front of the line. Otherwise, as soon as an illegal is identified by law enforcement they should be shipped back to their country of origin along with any other illegals living with them. Those protesting for illegals should be required to take a family into their own home and pay all their expenses out of their own pocket.

@Metallicat100 I pay taxes, I have no dependents; therefor, I probably pay more in taxes than you do- plus I will not receive any benefit from the money that is deducted. As a matter of fact, the majority of people that I know are having to pay owed taxes to the IRS that the real person owes. This one guy was having to give up half of his earnings to pay for taxes( notice I said his earnings, not his check, you would say " it's not his check since he is not that person" or some shit like that.
So FIRST you get in state tuition in college, then you assholes ask for amnesty? No. You missed the court date....That's 100% your fault and you have no right blaming ANYONE for your pathetic mistake.
In April we announced our interior enforcement strategy. Its edvident we're matching our words with actions in Ok. Thanks to the hardworking men & women from the Tulsa County Sheriff' Office, the Ok City Police, Muskogee Police. who assisted the officers & agents from ICE's in Ok City & Dallas to successfully carry out this important national security mission. Enforcement of R interior immigration laws is a critical step toward getting a handle on the illegal crisis facing the U.S

@onstageagain Hmmm....not sure why this would be labeled as spam. I think it's a darn good post, particularly because it happens to be true. He sure did 'change' our country, didn't he? And he isn't done 'changing' us yet.
Ivan, why is it our problem that your parents missed the court date? And yes, it is backdoor amnesty, when the potential candidates don't even have to graduate from college. All they have to do is attend college, and they can stretch that out for years. You are a citizen of Mexico, go back to Mexico and get an education there. Petition MX for grants and loans, since you are a citizen of that country. You are not entitled to special rules because you are an illegal immigrant.
You nd your mother missed the court date. If you needed transport, you could hve clled the local court nd they would possibly hve brought you transportation. Or take bus, or cb. It may take effort, but tht's what you need to do.
When YOU missed the court date and KNEW the consequences, you can't blame others for your mother being deported. This whole mess was YOUR nd your mother's fault. I'm gld Wshington denied the DREAM act. You don't deserve citizenship with your stupidity.
Tell me kid, why the hell did you miss the court date? That's 100% your fult. You cn't blme nyone but your sorry ss selves for missing the court date. Any American who misses a court dte for any crime is liable to be put in PRISON. They don't blame thers, because it's your own fault. If you weren't so moronic to miss your court date, you wouldn't be in this shitty situation. Sorry, but I hve no sympathy for an idiot who misses a court date.
Americans , Not One more Damn thing given to illegals until we get R borders secure, R ecomomy in order. NOTHING , Not one more dime given to illegals or there kids. The lesson of moral hazard is clear: Making exceptions to the rule of law for sympathetic law-breakers only creates more law-breaking, more injustice towards the law-abiding in the future. Fed representatives resist emotional appeal of a Dream Act & vote it down, until the border is secure ! NUFF SAID !
Thats the choice of the criminal brainless parents. What happens is up to themother. If she chooses to take the kid ,that is where it goes. If she chooses to abandon It , then the taxpayers will be on the hook to take care of it in foster care. I hope the hell she takes the kid back to Mexico with her , but if she doesn't ... that means the USA only gets stuck with supporting 1 leach " the kid" not 2 " the mother & the kid" Can U imagine ? Supporting millions of Parasites !
CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ! U Get ! A JOB, DRIVERS LIC, SS CARD, WELFARE, FOOD STAMPS
CREDIT CARDS, SUBSIDIZED RENT/ LOAN FOR A HOUSE,
FREE EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON,
BILLIONS OF $-$ WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN UR LANGUAGE, RIGHTS TO CARRY UR MEXICAN FLAG WHILE U PROTEST : U DON’T GET RESPECT ! Now, Obama wants American children to learn Spanish, to understand Illegals!
Fellow Citizens, does this sound ridiculous to U? Or is it just me?
*CROSS MEXICAN BORDER U PAY A FINE & R DEPORTED, SECOND TIME JAILED 10 YRS *CROSS THE FRENCH BORDER, FINED,JAILED, DEPORTED *ENGLAND ILLEGALLY, FINED 10,000, DEPORTED
*ITALY ILLEGALLY, FINED 13000 EURO & DEPORTED
* N KOREAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, 12 YRS HARD LABOR
* IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, DETAINED INDEFINITELY
* AFGHAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, Ur SHOT
*SAUDI ARABIA ILLEGALLY,JAILED
*CHINA ILLEGALLY, U MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.
The DREAM Act misses the entire point of being an ILLEGAL ALIEN. Illegal does not mean "if you can avoid being deported for five or more years", it means YOU'RE NOT ENTITLED TO BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I would like to introduce my own DREAM ACT :
I DREAM politicians will begin to stand up for legal, tax-paying, citizens & legal immigrants who follow the laws, deport law breakers along with their anchor babies& stop subsidizing criminal behavior.
3/3 C SPAN “Black Republican Forum” Session 2 (begin at 11:30) West said one of the 1986 caveats was to secure our borders, enforcement our laws, but we’re still talking about new amnesty like DREAM Act. We can’t allow local cities to make sanctuary cities policies, because they will bring our inner city turf wars to epic proportions by bringing in the drug cartel and Columbian gangs. (Mexican Gangs don’t recognize our borders established by the Treaty of Guadalupe)
2/3 In November 2010, 15.1 million were unemployed (9.8%). 154 million are able to work in workforce (15.1 million/9.8%). GOOGLE “illegal immigration counters”, There are 11,941,812 (or 11.9 million) skilled jobs provided to illegal immigrants. the 15.1 million unemployed could take the 11.9 million available jobs. The unemployment rate could be reduced to 2.1% {{15.1-11.9)/154}.
1/3 Immigrationcounters com 97% illegal immigrants are from Mexico. Illegalimmigrationstatistics org $1117 - The average amount you and your family paid in taxes this year to support illegals. 51% - The percentage of Mexican immigrant households that use at least one major welfare program. 28% use more than one.
I'm tired of seeing the DREAM ACT over and over again. WE'RE IN A DEPRESSION, WE DON'T WANT OR NEED YOU HERE. Go back to Mexico or wherever your parents came from.
Call each of your senators. Say that you FULLY expect them to OPPOSE the DREAM Scam.
To reach your senator, call 866.957.2612. You will be DIRECTLY connected to the senator's office. Unsure of exactly whom to call? Give the operator your zip code & they will direct you to the appropriate elected official.
Have you called yet? Call again ... & again. Let them know that we, the American ppl, do NOT condone, excuse, tolerate or SUPPORT treason in the form of this attempted SHAMNESTY.
If the Bill passes, we must have a rally in DC demanding impeachment of 'all' who voted yes and signing the Bill once the new 'elected' antiamnesty politics are sworn in in January. Impeach them, removed them from office, put them on trial for treason (found guilty) and either put them in jail to rot in their cells or exile them from America, never allowed to return for lying, deceiving and betraying the very people of America putting interests of illegal immigrants over interests of Americans!
I think I hear Steven King howling in the distance...sorry, had to make that joke. Really, I know many people who would be better off if it was passed.
HEY BUDDY GUESS WHAT WHEN I BREAK THE LAW I GO TO JAIL TOO, IMAGINE THAT!, IF MY MOM BROKE THE LAW SHE WOULD GO TO JAIL AS WELL, AND NOBODY IS PASSING LEGISLATION TO PROTECT US FROM GOING TO JAIL FOR BREAKING THE LAW AND THE CONGRESS SHOULDNT DO IT FOR YOU EITHER!!!!!!!!!
@OverUniverse HAHAHAHAHH!!!!!! thats the funniest and most stupid shit iv'e heard all day thanks! oh and these ppl broke the law so they go to jail just like everybody else, obama is a communist puppt of the elite and they want these illeagles here to destroy this country and throw us into the third world and here pretty soon we'll all be really fuckin sorry and all of this petty debate will be pointless so go fuck yourself...LOL!!!!!!!
In Matthew 6:14 (King James Bible), Jesus states: “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
And...
In Leviticus 19:33 (New International Version), we find this pertinent passage: “When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native born. Love him as yourself.”
@OverUniverse yeah do you know that mexico lets their prisoners go on the border if the prison gets to full and they go "if i see you again i'll shoot you" to them and they cross the border and come here to rape and steal our govt uses these ppl as political weapons, oh yeah did you see that mexico built a wall on the guatamalan border with them thats right north american union time, and its ppl like you who want it to happen who love it, your info is severly lackin in depth and potency.
@secretsquirrell13 Did you know we're not talking about people who went to jail for a real crime, got the jail full, escaped to the border and raped people....
We are talking about students who never did any of these things. Hell, if there wasn't such thing as a "status" not even they would know they came here illegal. Maybe.... just maybe, you have/had a friend that is/was illegal, and you didn't know, because he didn't tell you, or he didn't know himself.
@OverUniverse ok i'll bite but you surley have to know that the dems. are/is using these ppl as political weapons a voters base for the dems. or maybe even the rep. as well to impliment even more draconian measures against the constution, we are the only country in the whole world who cater to the illeagles, we used to be the greatest country and now look at us, and the illeagles are somewhat to blame for that its pure statistics, it dosent matter they can go back and apply to come back.
It's spelled illegal not illeagle. And Reid is a very honest man. I never met him personally, but I have received a letter back from him, not a machine, but him, commenting about my hardships when I was illegal nearly 20 years ago. (I wasn't given amnesty, my community sponsored me to become a citizen, I was a strong leader of their small community, for example school president 3 times in high school, 2 times in college).
He wrote to me, that he will not give up until this passes, never give up.
@secretsquirrell13 And no. If you're illegal, and you go back and try to do it the right way, even if you crossed the border when you were 1 year old, or 3 months old, you will be declined no matter what. No matter what type of education you have.
Why do you think the illegal kid in Harvard University doesn't want to be deported? He's very aware that if he lets go and lets himself be deported, no matter what education he has, he will never come back. That's why the dream act needs to pass.
@OverUniverse you totally side stepped the issue i was raising about the "illegals" being a political weapon, its just bad timeing if everything was peachy then maybe it would be something to consider for sure but if we allow the law to be bent for some then it must be bent for all that is only fair and i dont think some of you ppl get that there might be serious reprocussions from this being passed from this president and this time. you need to think past your own agenda and look at the whole.
@secretsquirrell13 It's part of being a humane country and doing the right thing. It isn't a matter of "bending" any laws, it is a matter of changing and updating laws to do what works for the people. Remember when women couldn't vote? Remember slavery? Remember how we changed those laws? The DREAM Act has been waiting for 10 years; imagine 10 years of your life put on hold.
@lannerz333 my lifes on hold right now because of this criminal gov't that has ruined our economy and wants to ruin it further by allowing ppl who think this land is theirs to come over here and be given blanket amnesty to do so and now i have to stop what i was doing to fight it just to live in the country my forfathers built over 200 years ago, obama is a communist and wants, along with the banks to take over this country and this is just another aspect of their takeover, WAKE UP!!!
@secretsquirrell13 Okay, so you're saying we wait 10 more years? In those 10 more years we will have 5-14 Million more illegals, making this problem harder to handle. The Dream act was introduced a decade ago, by the Bush administration. They decided to ignore it for 10 years. Now here we are today... 10 years later. The Dream Act hasn't passed, and the problem got bigger. Now what are we going to do next? Wait 10 more years until the situation is impossible to handle... nice huh?
@BuyAuths wow you should here yourself heres the question you should ask yourself how come they didnt secure the border after 9/11? the reason why is so they can let these ppl and terrorist, real terrorist, and drugs through the border, obama said that he dosent want to close the border, they do not have you best intrest at heart, they will be used as a political weapon to take the rest of your freedoms, if they pass the dream act then everybody will come from mexico, you need to get educated.
@secretsquirrell13 I am educated. I didn't go to Boise University for 1 year, and Utah University for 3 years to be called uneducated. I specialized myself in Business though. I own a few small businesses around 3 states, Idaho, Utah and California.
And I can't sit here feeling bad for these kids being put in the middle of terrorists and criminals, when all they're doing is trying to live a normal life, and study.
I known them my whole life, I helped them, and I helped anyone that asked me.
@BuyAuths i understand and your kindness is most def. recognized here all of you ppl are very kind hearted and think you are doing the best for this country but your not your only helping a few by destroying this country i want ppl to come here and live their dream just like if i wanted to go to germany and brew beer i would want to go and fulfill my dream, but i have to get the propper paper work if you want to really help the situation stop treating the symptom and cure the disease!
@secretsquirrell13 Take a deep breath... and read carefully. We are talking about children who grew up with our children, in face, they grew up so close to them, you can't tell them apart. When they reach High School, they reach a lot of barriers. So while our children can more easily go along with their lives, these kids have to work 10-20 times harder to achieve the same exact thing. We are denying these people rights, even when they grew up with our kids and are doing the right things.
@BuyAuths and the only way to do that is improve the situation in mexico, these ppl instead of running away from their problems need to fix their own country and live the live they want to live, instead of comming here i would love to jsut go to mexico but if i did right now i would prob. be mutilated and tortured to death just because im white, it stupid if we would just come together and fixed the real problem then we would ALL be better off and not jsut a FEW, get it.
@BuyAuths well dont you think that if mexico was fixed that the other immigrants from guatamala and el salvador and honduras and colombia and so on would be able to to cross over the mexican border on their way to the U.S.???? the answer is not near as many, although mexico closed their border with guatamala and put up a wall lol funny right??? well i dont claim to have all the answers but i know that this govt is rogue and they need to be stopped in their tracks before anymore harm is done.
@secretsquirrell13 There are some real idiots in Mexico. I didn't get much time to read carefully, but on the newspaper I read it said that a lot of immigrants in Mexico got killed by some criminals. Just like in the US, Mexico has some (not all) people who hate immigrants and think they're going to ruin their nation.
It's a misconception, although in the views of some, it's as visible as daylight.
I don't care if adults get papers or not, I do however, care that students get the benefit.
@secretsquirrell13 You need to have been here for five years before you were 16 to qualify, it won't make a difference if they all do come, they won't be eligible.
@lannerz333 ok and how many young radicals is that???? millions and millions that will build the anti-american army that "they" need to take over the voter base and get rid of guns, free speech, national identity, private property so on and so forth, and how much money is it going to cost to do this program are you willing to put yourself and your children in more debt to rescue ppl who broke the law? it falls on the parents its their fault deport the kids with the parents, let them get in line
@secretsquirrell13 Do you understand that if you leave this country you are banned for at least ten years and will most likely never get back? How would that feel to you if it wasn't even up to you to come here but now this is your home? If you couldn't even write in your native language? If your spouse, your parents, and your pets were here and you were banned for life?
@lannerz333 legal immigrants, and its different when they want to assimilate but when they want to make the U.S. into mexico and scream out " the plan of san diego!" at rallies with mexican flags everywhere and they get offended at students who were wearing american flags at a san franciso school so much as to where the students were sent home, that fuckin disturbing to me and it says that we are being invaded and taken over and this is just another nail in our coffin, but we wont stand for this
@secretsquirrell13 A lot of these kids didn't even break the law. A lot were let in BY us and then fell out of status. If we didn't want them here we shouldn't have let them in in the first place. And talking about staying on top as a world power, we have a bunch of educated young people who LOVE this country, who want to serve in our military; they want to become teachers and doctors, let's tap into that.
@lannerz333 your so short sided lets fuck ourselves now for a little bit of feel good right now to really fuck us in the future, i think it should be up to the states and not the federal govt weather of not they accept the illegals or not,LOL doctors and lawyers thats funny especially when 30% of the of the federal prision pop. is illegal immigrant criminals that killed or raped ppl that didnt have to be raped or killed, this is political not humanitarian and thats why im against it.
don't be such a fool to vote for such crap. the govt. is taking your rights away, day by day. we don't need more people to come in and be just as fucked, and more of a strain on the economy that are engineering to fail in the first place.
create the problem, offer the solution. solution here, come to the FEMA camps and be a good little sheep. take vaccines. the gov't will take care of you. or be free and be looked upon as an outcast, or killed for resisting this tyranny.
It is Amnesty. It's a crime that it was included in the defense budget. You and your family broke the laws entering the country. Please find your way back and start the process the legal way. There's already a path to citizenship, it's not easy, but if it's worth it you'll go through with it.
@realericx If this law would benefit you, you wouldn't be calling people criminals. Put yourself in their situation, and see if you would deport your parents, and if you would like to be put in jail for a crime your parents made.
Just to make sure you get on with the subject... and not keep ignoring it, I'm going to tell you something really interesting.
There is NO LEGAL PATH TO CITIZENSHIP AS OF TODAY.
The Dream Act will be the first, and a 1 time deal.
@OverUniverse Just because you put something in large letters doesn't make it true. I work with 12 people out of 50 that are naturalized citizens from countries all over the world. They would tell you that the path isn't easy, but why should it be so easy to become a US Citizen as crossing the border with out permission and pushing the cost of your use of public infrastructure on the citizenry. I'm not going to go to Mexico to see how I'm treated so I won't put myself in their position.
@realericx We are talking about students. They didn't get to make the choice, they were 3 months old, 1 year old, 5 years old... etc. They can't make decisions.
You're an adult, you can make decisions, they didn't choose to be put in this illegal status situation.
And they don't want to take the path, because it could take 1 or 2 decades for them to get accepted, and during that time, they could be studying or being productive in society, not in another country working under the sun losing out.
@lannerz333 Correct. the dream act could never pass the Senate or House. it is for that reason that Dem. Reid decided to shove the issue through the DADT hoping it would pass, it didn't by a vote of 56-43
@raderanthony Actually it was attached because it was considered a "must pass" along with DADT, before this congress is over. The Republicans used DREAM as an excuse not to pass DOD because they really didn't want DADT to pass. And yeah, it will be back up in November and it will pass the Senate and the House.
@lannerz333 Correct again. Harry Rieds "Pet" will come up again, and again. Likely it will take on a different name with another twist but if Dems win the house and senate this november, I don't see it passing. As for "Must Pass" that view or label is a desire among the Dem party. The main goal of the dream act is to increase the Dem base of voters and nothing more.
@lannerz333 I have no doubt that many of the illegals wanting Amnesty wish to live there lives to their full potential. How can anyone fault them for that. One must understand, We are a Land of Laws. Being here without "papers" is an illegal act. Punishment for breaking this law is deportation. I would encourage all those wanting to be "deserving Americans" apply for Citizenship through legal channels. BTY...are you saying an illegal person is a "deserving American"?
@raderanthony I am speaking about the DREAM Act. We don't punish minors for being with their parents when their parent's commit a crime and we shouldn't punish minors who were brought to this country with their parents through no choice of their own. Many of the students eligible for the DREAM Act didn't even come here illegally, like Ivan, they fell out of status for one reason or another. Then American public thinks that people are illegal because they want to be.
@raderanthony (Cont.) "I would encourage all those wanting to be "deserving Americans" apply for Citizenship through legal channels" Undocumented people WANT to be legal but the thing is, we don't have any options for them to fix their status! The DREAM Act would be a way for many deserving students to fix their status and it is NOT amnesty. Students would have to wait 6 years, after proving themselves, to become residents.
@raderanthony (Cont.) And yes, I am saying that children who grew up here since they were babies, who are as American as you or I, deserve to be able to fix their status.
@raderanthony Okay... someone isn't paying attention. If you actually want the deserving students to be able to apply through legal channels, then you would be supporting the Dream Act.
The Dream act will be the only channel there ever was for them to become citizens. Without it, there is 100% no way they will ever become citizens.
@raderanthony Are you paying attention? It has Nothing to do with the Dream Act. We had to persuade Harry Reid to help us pass the dram act. He didn't just randomly come up and say "Oh hey, I need more votes, I'm going to support it".
I was one of those people to send him mails about how my life was when I was illegal, and he responded to me, not a machine, but him.
Saying it's just for more votes, is pure propaganda.
@raderanthony It wasn't removed, it was simply ignored by the dumb republicans. They keep running away from anything that has to do with immigrants, immgrant rights, and specially illegal immigrant rights and freedoms.
They like getting paid by businesses that contract illegals out in the tomato fields to keep these illegals illegal, because as long as there's illegals, there are slaves in this country to do the dirty jobs, with low pay.
I think having your entire family here is reason enough to stay, god forbid you were to ever find yourself in one of these children's situations. Can we deport you "supressorgid"?
Oh yeah, unless you are mooching the computer and internet acces from someone, you can go home and take college courses online from almost any country. So you dont have any reason to stay. GET OUT!
Boo Hoo Hoo, I am crying my eyes out. How stupid are you to not know what Illegal means. "Hi, I broke into your country and I want everything you have or I will pitch a bitch and call you mean and heartless and you will go to hell if you dont fullfill my right to college and housing and healthcare......ect". FUCK YOU, get your whiney ass out of MY country.
i want the dream act to pass so i can join the marines...what can be more american then being a marine... people focus on the tax payers money and how its going to go to illegal immigrants for college and not US citizens and that its not right but what about people like me who dont want to go to college and dont want ur tax money i just want to be a marine that means serving this country and all thats expected of marines

...."I would rather have it happen now rather than waiting 2 years."
Yes, so because one would rather not be bothered with all that waiting silliness, just come illegally. I mean, what's a silly federal law, what are rules for? What's a border all about? I mean, it's just plain old mean to make an immigrant do the legal thing!
Metallicat100 6 months ago
Those who say they shouldn't be punished for being brought here by their adult family members. What about the family members, why aren't they being detained & deported? Is the NEW law, anyone with children will not be deported? If thatSs the case, anyone who breaks laws & has children not be detained or prosecuted? Citizens R entitled to equal treatment under the law. R the legislators saying that illegals R above R laws & consequences, but R own people aren't? Vote These Politicians OUT!
onstageagain 6 months ago
@onstageagain Yes, I do believe that is exactly what they're saying, and shitty legislation like this is blatant descrimination against American citizens who are forced to subsidize these people rather than help their own children. If that isn't illegal I don't know what is. And all these people from Mexico think they deserve to be put to the absolute front of the line above every other group, even above legal immigrants who do the right thing. Insanity rules this country I swear.

Metallicat100 7 months ago 7
@Metallicat100 So let me get this straight. You prefer to have the legal migrants come here- which have a strong loyalty to their nation still- as opposed to granting the Dream Act which will help individuals who grew up here and are as American as you are? I have to live my life knowing that a person who has no loyalty to America gets American benefits with the visas that are granted every year. Yet me, who happened to grow up here and has loyalty to America, has to live in the shadows.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 So you can't say that an illegal is not American, just like you can't say that a legal person is American. I know this one dude who had about 2 months here in the United states, he did not speak English, and I can guarantee you he is more Mexican than me. He has a visa and is therefor legal, while I do not have anything and have lived here since the age of nine. I am clearly an illegal( yet I'm American), and he is legal( but clearly Mexican since he is 30 and just arrived)
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 So he is a Mexican with documents who is not American, and I'm an illegal American. You need to get your terminology straightened out. Do you prefer American raised people or complete foreigners? We have obviously ended up in a tight situation, we are foreign born and American raised. So we are not from there, that is not my home- we are also not from here, since people say we don't belong here, even tho this is my home. Maybe someday you will see things from the eyes of others.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@UniverseOffspring Nitpicking over terminology doesn't remove the fact that illegal means not legal. If you have a problem with my viewpiont, bitch your parents out for putting you in this situation in the first place. You 'ended up' in that situation thanks to them, not to me. If this is your home, do something about becoming legal to show you mean business. Until then I'm tired of my kids being told 'NO' while illegals get put to the front of the line-all on my tax dollars.
Metallicat100 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 Bitch? You're the only bitch here.lol
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@UniverseOffspring As usual, you people can only hurl insults when challenged with the truth. How many of your relatives are you going to invite to invade us now "I'm an American"?
Metallicat100 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 I was simply returning your insult. I am here waiting to become legal the legal way. I would just rather have it happen now and not 2 years from now. I could improve a lot in that time if I attended a university. I don't think your real cause for concern should be another person trying to make it in this world, I think you should be worried about the rich elite masses which hoard vast amounts of wealth by using us. As usual, they have us fighting over scraps.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@UniverseOffspring Why don't you let me decide what my cause for concern should be, hmm? It's my tax dollars you are going to take rather than give to my own kids mmmk? Thanks. Oh and by the way I am not such a terrible person as to hope you do the right thing with the advantage you have over my own children. Good day.
Metallicat100 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 Just face it, me and many other individuals are as American as you are and as American as apple pie.lol. There are some technicalities that are holding us back and teaching us a life lesson. Many of the people I went to school with have their documents now even tho they arrived after me. I was supposed to have jumped to the front of the line since I was the child of a naturalized resident, I made a mistake and must wait now, now all migrants will go before me.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 I think you just hate us Mexicans for some reasons, considering the fact that the U.S will grant over 500,000 visas this year and every year to foreigners- granting them access to pretty much every tax funded privilege and letting them take your jobs. So are you standing for the laws or for your "tax dollars"? There are just some technicalities that determine which side you're on, migrant or immigrant, they are pretty much the same- we are humans.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@Metallicat100 I bet if you saw me and my friend face to face, you wouldn't even know which is the illegal one. Even my American born brothers face discrimination by job interviewers, it's like they find it hard to believe that a person can be Mexican and be legal. Ignorant people just like you.
UniverseOffspring 6 months ago
@UniverseOffspring Another insult. Whatever. Oh and by the way, I am part Mexican. Now what? People like you always miss the point. I have been descriminated against for NOT being fully Mexican or looking "Mexican enough" or speaking Spanish. I have lost jobs over this. My husband gets messed with at his job because he's the only white person on his entire crew. I don't hate Mexicans but you can't deny they are at least 95% of the illegals here in the United States. Ignorant? Right.
Metallicat100 5 months ago
@Metallicat100 I don't know, this bill is referring to people who grew up here in the united states and are American by nurture. If you had six kids and had an alcoholic husband and were struggling to make ends meet without a job and with very little government help- plus the legal way of coming here was not an option since they are extremely picky- would you wait a few more years and maybe lose some children or would you test your luck and try to make it to the united states?
UniverseOffspring 5 months ago
@Metallicat100 Don't respond to me with a "strawman fallacy" just answer the question and if you have a fraction of understanding in you, you will see how I and many others ended up here and why amnesty was a good thing- as far as helping those in need goes. My parents were lucky enough to gain amnesty which set the improvement of our lives in motion.
UniverseOffspring 5 months ago

Impeach them, removed them from office, put them on trial for treason (found guilty) and either put them in jail to rot in their cells or exile them from America, never allowed to return for lying, deceiving and betraying the very people of America putting interests of illegal immigrants over interests of Americans!

Maybe.... just maybe, you have/had a friend that is/was illegal, and you didn't know, because he didn't tell you, or he didn't know himself.

@OverUniverse ok i'll bite but you surley have to know that the dems. are/is using these ppl as political weapons a voters base for the dems. or maybe even the rep. as well to impliment even more draconian measures against the constution, we are the only country in the whole world who cater to the illeagles, we used to be the greatest country and now look at us, and the illeagles are somewhat to blame for that its pure statistics, it dosent matter they can go back and apply to come back.
secretsquirrell13 1 year ago
It's spelled illegal not illeagle. And Reid is a very honest man. I never met him personally, but I have received a letter back from him, not a machine, but him, commenting about my hardships when I was illegal nearly 20 years ago. (I wasn't given amnesty, my community sponsored me to become a citizen, I was a strong leader of their small community, for example school president 3 times in high school, 2 times in college).
He wrote to me, that he will not give up until this passes, never give up.
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 And no. If you're illegal, and you go back and try to do it the right way, even if you crossed the border when you were 1 year old, or 3 months old, you will be declined no matter what. No matter what type of education you have.
Why do you think the illegal kid in Harvard University doesn't want to be deported? He's very aware that if he lets go and lets himself be deported, no matter what education he has, he will never come back. That's why the dream act needs to pass.
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@OverUniverse you totally side stepped the issue i was raising about the "illegals" being a political weapon, its just bad timeing if everything was peachy then maybe it would be something to consider for sure but if we allow the law to be bent for some then it must be bent for all that is only fair and i dont think some of you ppl get that there might be serious reprocussions from this being passed from this president and this time. you need to think past your own agenda and look at the whole.
secretsquirrell13 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 It's part of being a humane country and doing the right thing. It isn't a matter of "bending" any laws, it is a matter of changing and updating laws to do what works for the people. Remember when women couldn't vote? Remember slavery? When they reach High School, they reach a lot of barriers. So while our children can more easily go along with their lives, these kids have to work 10-20 times harder to achieve the same exact thing.

BuyAuths 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 You need to have been here for five years before you were 16 to qualify, it won't make a difference if they all do come, they won't be eligible.

@lannerz333 ok and how many young radicals is that???? millions and millions that will build the anti-american army that "they" need to take over the voter base and get rid of guns, free speech, national identity, private property so on and so forth, and how much money is it going to cost to do this program are you willing to put yourself and your children in more debt to rescue ppl who broke the law? it falls on the parents its their fault deport the kids with the parents, let them get in line
secretsquirrell13 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 Do you understand that if you leave this country you are banned for at least ten years and will most likely never get back? How would that feel to you if it wasn't even up to you to come here but now this is your home? If you couldn't even write in your native language? If your spouse, your parents, and your pets were here and you were banned for life?
lannerz333 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 We aren't Mexico. We are a nation that has been built by immigrants, let's not forget that.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@lannerz333 legal immigrants, and its different when they want to assimilate but when they want to make the U.S. into mexico and scream out " the plan of san diego!" at rallies with mexican flags everywhere and they get offended at students who were wearing american flags at a san franciso school so much as to where the students were sent home, that fuckin disturbing to me and it says that we are being invaded and taken over and this is just another nail in our coffin, but we wont stand for this
secretsquirrell13 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 WTF is "illeagle"?
lannerz333 1 year ago
@secretsquirrell13 A lot of these kids didn't even break the law. A lot were let in BY us and then fell out of status. If we didn't want them here we shouldn't have let them in in the first place. And talking about staying on top as a world power, we have a bunch of educated young people who LOVE this country, who want to serve in our military; they want to become teachers and doctors, let's tap into that.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@lannerz333 your so short sided lets fuck ourselves now for a little bit of feel good right now to really fuck us in the future, i think it should be up to the states and not the federal govt weather of not they accept the illegals or not,LOL doctors and lawyers thats funny especially when 30% of the of the federal prision pop. is illegal immigrant criminals that killed or raped ppl that didnt have to be raped or killed, this is political not humanitarian and thats why im against it.
secretsquirrell13 1 year ago
don't be such a fool to vote for such crap. the govt. is taking your rights away, day by day. we don't need more people to come in and be just as fucked, and more of a strain on the economy that are engineering to fail in the first place.
create the problem, offer the solution. solution here, come to the FEMA camps and be a good little sheep. take vaccines. the gov't will take care of you. or be free and be looked upon as an outcast, or killed for resisting this tyranny.

Do it the legal way and get a 10 year ban with no guarantee that you could get back? No, thanks. Vote for the DREAM Act this November!!!

vote yes,
ps, whatup with the lamp?
ProjectMWBP 1 year ago
It is Amnesty. It's a crime that it was included in the defense budget. You and your family broke the laws entering the country. Please find your way back and start the process the legal way. There's already a path to citizenship, it's not easy, but if it's worth it you'll go through with it.
realericx 1 year ago
@realericx If this law would benefit you, you wouldn't be calling people criminals. Put yourself in their situation, and see if you would deport your parents, and if you would like to be put in jail for a crime your parents made.
Just to make sure you get on with the subject... and not keep ignoring it, I'm going to tell you something really interesting.
There is NO LEGAL PATH TO CITIZENSHIP AS OF TODAY.
The Dream Act will be the first, and a 1 time deal.
Keep arguing, if you wish, its useless
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@OverUniverse Just because you put something in large letters doesn't make it true. I work with 12 people out of 50 that are naturalized citizens from countries all over the world. They would tell you that the path isn't easy, but why should it be so easy to become a US Citizen as crossing the border with out permission and pushing the cost of your use of public infrastructure on the citizenry. I'm not going to go to Mexico to see how I'm treated so I won't put myself in their position.
realericx 1 year ago
@realericx We are talking about students. They didn't get to make the choice, they were 3 months old, 1 year old, 5 years old... etc. They can't make decisions.
You're an adult, you can make decisions, they didn't choose to be put in this illegal status situation.
And they don't want to take the path, because it could take 1 or 2 decades for them to get accepted, and during that time, they could be studying or being productive in society, not in another country working under the sun losing out.

Vote No...ops too late. Already was removed from bill.
raderanthony 1 year ago
@raderanthony Actually the DREAM Act was never voted on. It was DOD that failed.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@lannerz333 Correct. the dream act could never pass the Senate or House. it is for that reason that Dem. Reid decided to shove the issue through the DADT hoping it would pass, it didn't by a vote of 56-43
raderanthony 1 year ago
Comment removed
lannerz333 1 year ago
@raderanthony Actually it was attached because it was considered a "must pass" along with DADT, before this congress is over. The Republicans used DREAM as an excuse not to pass DOD because they really didn't want DADT to pass. And yeah, it will be back up in November and it will pass the Senate and the House.
lannerz333 1 year ago 2
@lannerz333 Correct again. Harry Rieds "Pet" will come up again, and again. Likely it will take on a different name with another twist but if Dems win the house and senate this november, I don't see it passing. As for "Must Pass" that view or label is a desire among the Dem party. The main goal of the dream act is to increase the Dem base of voters and nothing more.
raderanthony 1 year ago
@raderanthony The main goal of the DREAM Act is to let a group of deserving American people finally start to live to their full potential.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@lannerz333 I have no doubt that many of the illegals wanting Amnesty wish to live there lives to their full potential. How can anyone fault them for that. One must understand, We are a Land of Laws. Being here without "papers" is an illegal act. Punishment for breaking this law is deportation. I would encourage all those wanting to be "deserving Americans" apply for Citizenship through legal channels. BTY...are you saying an illegal person is a "deserving American"?
raderanthony 1 year ago

Students would have to wait 6 years, after proving themselves, to become residents.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@raderanthony (Cont.) And yes, I am saying that children who grew up here since they were babies, who are as American as you or I, deserve to be able to fix their status.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@raderanthony And BTW, no human is illegal.
lannerz333 1 year ago
@raderanthony Okay... someone isn't paying attention. If you actually want the deserving students to be able to apply through legal channels, then you would be supporting the Dream Act.
The Dream act will be the only channel there ever was for them to become citizens. Without it, there is 100% no way they will ever become citizens.
I support the Dream Act.
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@raderanthony Are you paying attention? It has Nothing to do with the Dream Act. We had to persuade Harry Reid to help us pass the dram act. He didn't just randomly come up and say "Oh hey, I need more votes, I'm going to support it".
I was one of those people to send him mails about how my life was when I was illegal, and he responded to me, not a machine, but him.
Saying it's just for more votes, is pure propaganda.
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@raderanthony I meant "It has nothing to do with votes"
OverUniverse 1 year ago
@raderanthony It wasn't removed, it was simply ignored by the dumb republicans. They keep running away from anything that has to do with immigrants, immgrant rights, and specially illegal immigrant rights and freedoms.
They like getting paid by businesses that contract illegals out in the tomato fields to keep these illegals illegal, because as long as there's illegals, there are slaves in this country to do the dirty jobs, with low pay.

I think having your entire family here is reason enough to stay, god forbid you were to ever find yourself in one of these children's situations. Can we deport you "supressorgid"?
lannerz333 1 year ago
Oh yeah, unless you are mooching the computer and internet acces from someone, you can go home and take college courses online from almost any country. So you dont have any reason to stay. GET OUT!
