There are countless ways in which he could substantiate his claims. Technology for example is impossible to fake. If he wrote a paper on how any of that tunneling tech worked there would be a 100% chance he was telling the truth.
Or he could submit his 'artifacts' to be corroborated bye an expert.

About his death.
He was not hung. The cause of death was from asphyxiation, not hanging or any other neck trauma. He asphyxiated himself with a bag with a cord tied around it. & the cord on the bag was tied in the front, meaning that he could have easily done it himself, or have untied it if he wanted.
2 of the most common cause for suicide are divorce terminal illness & he had both. His wife left him and he was dying of cancer.
All the forensic evidence points to suicide.

If he had legit artifacts he could've sent them off to be authenticated at any research center on earth & over night 100% of his claims would be proven true. The only reason to not do so would be because he had no such artifacts.
