It's tough when you've prayed for a husband like the older women in the church told/taught you to do (I was 12 yrs. old), but since the age of 22, EVERYBODY started getting married, but me, the one who actually 'bothered' to pray! I'm no virgin (gave up on that yrs. ago, in anger at GOD), but I got myself together a few yrs. back. ,,, still parying that childhood prayer! ,,, a difficult struggle!

Most ministers who perform weddings never go into counseling with bride and groom. Yes, God will help us but there are things we must do as well. Example, if you have had a previous intimate relationship before marriage, some deliverance must take place. Yes, we may have repented and that is the first step. But spirits and soul ties have been created with anyone that we have slept with. Those unseen ties must be broken so it will not cause problems in the future marriage.
I want to encourage all sisters to wait on God. My own disobedience in getting married to the wrong man (God warned me beforehand) will also bring years of sorrow and waiting. I am exhibit A. I had to learn that for myself. God is STILL the author of marriage. Let us not experiment with sex or flirtation. I never perform a marriage ceremony without 6 weeks of premarital counseling. There are many things to be dealt with if the marriage is to be successful.
I simply take God at his word that he will give me the desires of my heart. He is faithful. He knows my tastes and he is not limited in what he can provide. He will do what he promised. I can wait now.. no hurry anymore. I actually have adjusted to the single life. So marriage now would just be an extension of an already preserved christian life.
Sister, I like this. Yes, I was married to an unfaithful bishop. I am now single and celibate for the last 23 years. It has been good. The battle was not sexual but emotional and having a companion fellowship. Still waiting for that TALL, TALL chocolate single, saved real man. Holy Ghost helped me conquer the flesh....all about Him. Doesn't bother me now. I look to much higher things.

you are a true sister in christ! you are a wonderful woman. I often think that it is impossible to have a saved guy come into your life and being able to substain from sex. I was with someone that called them self saved, but was not willing to give up fleshy needs for the Lord, you gave me hope now that there are some real genuine saved young men left and want to walk the same path I do.

Thank you for being obedient because this exact topic has been tormenting me for a while now, if been through ups and downs in so called relationships and I have even found myself growing impatient with God and trying to do things on my own further more adding salt to my open wounds. @blacksinglewoman Thank you for watching my vid and commenting. I encourage you to hold on to God's unchanging hand. I know that it gets hard and it's easier said than done. Although I wasn't a virgin, but I say I was a "new virgin" not having sex for 13 years waiting on my Husband. It wasn't always easy, but I held on to God's promise and He gave me beauty (my marriage) for ashes, tripple for my trouble. Stay busy, enjoy life, delight yourself in the Lord and I PROMISE God WILL deliver :)

I married young at 18 and divorced at 29. After that I prayed for over 8 years for God to send me a good man to love me for me. I've been married now for 11 years to a wonderful man and I feel so blessed.

Actually, I was reading the Word when this man came up to me and asked me what I was reading (It was in the book of Romans), began talking to me, and we've been together every since. No joke!
@MissAmerica2008 I was on this temporary assignment when I met him. Every time we saw each other we talked the Word and sports lol. At first he didn't seem like my 'type' physical wise and he was older but I knew it was my flesh that was looking for a differen't "package". Ladies be patient, look for his character/morale, love of the Lord and not a physical makeup bc you never know who God has for you. He was spot on for me!!

I can't lie.. I do get discouraged sometimes because I haven't had a "real" boyfriend in a WHILE. Thank you for being obedient because this exact topic has been tormenting me for a while now, if been through ups and downs in so called relationships and I have even found myself growing impatient with God and trying to do things on my own further more adding salt to my open wounds. I needed this encouragement and I praise God for using you and thank you once again for allowing him!

Wow, this video really touch me today..I was just saying to myself I'm 35 years old not married and still dating the same guy for awhile. Maybe God have something good in store for me too. Just need to wait and he will show me the way thank you for the video.

I know this video was for ME cause i am a 29 year old virgin and waiting for my husband and it is really hard cause i have never been in a long term relationship with someone and a lot of people around me is getting married and am like Lord where is my husband when will i meet him it's 2010 and am still single and nowhere close to being married i just get real lonely and get really frustrated at times but your video really encouraged me to hold on and wait on the Lord ! Although I wasn't a virgin, but I say I was a "new virgin" not having sex for 13 years waiting on my Husband. It wasn't always easy, but I held on to God's promise and He gave me beauty (my marriage) for ashes, tripple for my trouble. Stay busy, enjoy life, delight yourself in the Lord and I PROMISE God WILL deliver :)

You are so very blessed. Can hear it in your voice, see it in your smile when you talk about your husband and life. This video really touched me..After 13 years in a bad marriage I finally have what my heart was always needing. I used to always say that God was my co-pilot but he was clearly driving the entire time just leading me back to him and to a wonderful man. I married young at 18 and divorced at 29. After that I prayed for over 8 years for God to send me a good man to love me for me. I've been married now for 11 years to a wonderful man and I feel so blessed.

dee this was a much needed vid. but some women are pretending to WAIT on the Lord. i do believe if they wait God will indeed bless them. i saw ur life 1st hand. u poured urself into being a good hard working mother, single and happy raising ur lovely daughter. a true christian. u were ready to live for Jesus. but some people just want a man.. not really dedicated to God. that wont work. i was married then got right with Jesus. good vid

Actually, I was reading the Word when this man came up to me and asked me what I was reading (It was in the book of Romans), began talking to me, and we've been together every since. No joke!

@MissAmerica2008 I was on this temporary assignment when I met him. Every time we saw each other we talked the Word and sports lol. At first he didn't seem like my 'type' physical wise and he was older but I knew it was my flesh that was looking for a differen't "package". Ladies be patient, look for his character/morale, love of the Lord and not a physical makeup bc you never know who God has for you. He was spot on for me!!

@LUV2TALKDEB We've been together for almost two years now. He's talked about marriage but I'm not quite ready. I'm still trying to finish college (a year to go thank God). He's older like I said so he's done with college and in his career. It's truly a crazy story.

I can't lie.. I do get discouraged sometimes because I haven't had a "real" boyfriend in a WHILE. I'm not even looking for marriage, but God knows that if I have even a boyfriend that I'm probably gonna do something that I'll wind up regretting. If I'm not looking for a husband, then a boyfriend is just gonna be for recreation lolol. But I understand exactly what you're saying.. patience is a virtue. You can't wish you had what someone else has. What God has for you is for you, and it's greater.
