It seems like all American metal is these days is shitty screamo and breakdowns, it lacks the raw talent and creativity of the European metal bands. I bought this album out of impulse, and frankly it confuses me. I know these guys are from Italy, but they're celtic-like music...which kind of puts me off from this band. That, and their melodies are kind of all over the place, which irks me a bit. They have talent, more than me thats for sure, but not my cup of tea...
It's interesting you say that. They're one of my favorite bands and i have 3 of their cd's... well Wyrd is on the way from ebay :3. But was just wondering why you bought the album, did you hear other songs you liked? or did you just dicide to pick it up and have a listen?
As i said, it was an impulse buy. The record shop where i got it had it in a used bin and they were doing a 2 for 1 special for used CDs, and nothing else caught my eye. The Album cover indicated to me that it might be power metal, but i guess appearances can be decieving. I liked The Wanderer because I imagine everytime i listen to it a pseudo D&D thing, like the opening to an anime or something ( I imagine strange things when i listen to music )

I'm constantly discovering weirding things about metal, And its fun to see what different peoples perform. And while you are right about talvisota, I really don't see how it is relevant here. Sure, the post was insulting, but there is no need to reply to "flames".

You are right. Replying to flamers posts is useless. But you know what kind of person basic Finn is. "Never insult my country or I insult yours until you take your words back." And yea Talvisota was'nt the best strikeback. I could've used f.ex something according to latest "The best country test".

I bought this album out of impulse, and frankly it confuses me. I know these guys are from Italy, but they're celtic-like music...which kind of puts me off from this band. That, and their melodies are kind of all over the place, which irks me a bit. They have talent, more than me thats for sure, but not my cup of tea...

It's interesting you say that. They're one of my favorite bands and i have 3 of their cd's... well Wyrd is on the way from ebay :3. But was just wondering why you bought the album, did you hear other songs you liked? or did you just dicide to pick it up and have a listen?

As i said, it was an impulse buy. The record shop where i got it had it in a used bin and they were doing a 2 for 1 special for used CDs, and nothing else caught my eye. The Album cover indicated to me that it might be power metal, but i guess appearances can be decieving. I liked The Wanderer because I imagine everytime i listen to it a pseudo D&D thing, like the opening to an anime or something ( I imagine strange things when i listen to music )

Try not to generalize music, folk and celtic music is universal, it's not restricted to one country or area.

sorry, wasn't meant to be like that...I know music is universal, but I just didn't expect a group from Italy to perform anything like this. I'm constantly discovering weirding things about metal, And its fun to see what different peoples perform. But you have to admit, if you heard an Indian metal band play viking/folk metal, you'd be somewhat weirded out too...
