New Year seen from the top of the Big Ben clock tower

We were there on Tuesday 27 October 2009 at the top of Big Ben (St Stephen's Tower) as the clock struck 12 noon.

I stood directly under the fourth chime bell as the fourth chime bell struck.

We all then watched the Big Ben bell strike 12 noon.

We also all received a badge from the tour guide, as it was the 150 anniversary of the installation of the Big Ben bell in St Stephens Tower.

A day out to remember forever !!.

@pennyf9 it doesn't those are the quarter bells. Big Ben is the hour strike - in this video it's bang on when the clock hits zero.
