My boonie-bike was a green 1968 two speed model with a 5hp Briggs & Stratton engine. My dad took us to Pismo Beach, CA to ride it in the sand there. I never rode it in the snow with the snap-on front wheel sled. I always wanted a Honda Mini Trail 90 instead. The Healthkit Boonie-bike was a dinasaur by comparison. Still, it was an interesting concept mini-bike. The fact that it was sold as a kit and not pre-assembled was fun too. Overall, I'd describe the bike as rigid and unevolved.
Got this bike in rough shape about two years ago and fixed it up, The 2 speed trans was long gone, I had a brand new one when I was a kid, still like riding it after all these years....

i got this bike too. i love it nice and big. is yours a 2 speed? mine used to be . . its a long story.
