  • This song sounds like its missing something................Jim Morrison

  • There is a similar version on the Plush cd single (swing type version).

  • The eight people that disliked this wouldn't know real music if it slapped them in the face! A total of eight losers have looked at this video!

    Awesome version of the song!

  • Wow, this is a great twist to the song. Very jazzy

  • did he say "Hey there, how's your steak?" lol

  • @Mattmoo36 I think he said "how do you stink"

  • @crottix It's how's your steak?

  • This version is so sexcellent.

  • this concert is fucking xcellence, I was able to see them at Mohegan Sun, CT in May 2008 when they first got back together (before Between the Lines was released) they fuckin kicked ass

  • I think this might actually kick the original's ass.

  • I love the way he says'"here I come i come i" in this version

  • i heard this song once on the radio in the early 90's and this is the first i have heard it since then. great song, thanks for the upload.

  • @guitarguy5: Totally! And I got to see 2 of them this year on my 24th birthday at the DC101 Chili Cook Off!!!! It was EPIC! And it rained during AIC's "Rain When I Die" ....so beautiful :)

  • i am so FUCKING HAPPY that STP has rejoined back in 2008!!

  • It puts you off abit slightly, knowing that this song is about rape. But at the sametime, it's still a great song. What a strange pardox indeed.

  • heard interview years ago this is deffinately about rape not a nice subject but the swing version on the b side of the Plush single has a creepy sound which suites the subject matter. By the way Polly by Nirvana was about the same subject but more obtuse refference.

  • Best Version Ever!

  • It's about rape from the rapist point of view, not theirs haha.

  • This version kicks ass, I don't care what you guys think. It sounds creepy, and as much as I love the original version, the dark ambiance wasn't subtle enough.

  • i sell dingleberry pies to little kids

  • The Doors sort of had an influence here. Jim would have loved this.

  • Good but bored, good song!

  • This version kicks ass! Next time when I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.

  • @RobKelly21 screw up man. this versions is fine. It is certainly different, but in terms of sound, it is great. Plus its a good example of STP's range.

  • @sheridan891 that's ridiculous. The song is about something, and this style of music doesn't capture that. Yes, it shows their range, but they could have done that with a different song.

  • i don't think the song is about rape because the lyrics say "I know u want whats on my mind I know you like whats on my mind i know it eats u up inside i know you know you know you know" i think it is a song about a guy wanting to have sex with his girl but his girl is a little unsure but deep down inside she really wnats to have sex; frustration on the guys part

  • dude - they wrote the song after a girl they knew in college was raped. I'm not guessing - they have said it is about rape.

  • well robkelly21 if STP said so then they/you must be right but i didn't know they went to college a lot of musicians i know never went to college

  • @RobKelly21 and here its almost about something a little different... that doesn't make it bad. It shows the song's range as well.

  • YOU SUCK!

  • my favorite part might be "hi there, how's your steak?"

  • GOD DAMMIT I LOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!!!

Its seriously like the best thing my ears have ever had the pleasure of hearing! haha idk why but seriously

  • wow, i have to get this album now

  • does any1 know where to get the tab for this

  • I've been trying to find it myself. Good luck

  • Hey there! Hows your steak?

  • this version is so fucking awesome, i kinda like this version more for some reason. i get reminded of sinatra and the rat pack, probably cuz of the lyrics and the swing style music

  • it sounds like the doors. it's sexier and more threatening than the original.

  • definitely the doors, this version like u said sounds more sexier, they shouldve made a studio version, or should make a studio version i should say

  • We should build a sex type thing petition and send it to them while they write their new album

  • eat me, doche.

  • I love this song, this version is really good!

  • ummm where can i get da offical vid 4 dis?

the 1 i had was canceled by a copyright claim... ( fucking gov't.....)

  • Awesome...

  • can someone tell me where all the other stp videos went?

  • WMG probaly sent it to hell with millions and millions of other videos

  • wmg = satan.

  • I completely agree, friend. My sister tried uploading a video and they disabled the audio because it wasn't "approved". Jeez =)

    Great music, isn't it?

  • try reloading it but add proper acrediation to the track. List the song, artists and recording company and add an all rights reserved and they might let her keep it.

  • Thanks, Mateoultima

  • This music isn't in GT2?

A different version, like a heavy metal version, there's an video with it here in youtube? Someone has the link? I really want the GT2 version of this song!

  • I FUCKIN LOVE THIS TUNE

  • I don't know why but.. Scott sounds pretty sexy here, his voice kind of turns me on.

  • Dude, thats not good. You could die D:

  • he might hurt you too... :D

  • me too, totally

  • Love this version - TY

  • aww this is so awesome! thanks for the vid

  • Damn, I might actually like this version more than the original. Wait...I might have to think about that one a minute.STP, please get back together and come to Atl!!!

  • They are getting back together.

  • awesome. thanks for posting this.

I'd like to remind everyone that viacom are a bunch of greedy little bastards, however.

  • It pisses me off becuase this set was never made into audio or video so how are people meant to see/hear it? damn them bastards! argh!

  • Not only that Viacom is responsible for MTV (what killed modern music)

  • btw ...i have the video of this song fckrocknroll

  • @fckrocknroll Actually, I heard it on the radio back in '06. That rock station is now defunct, and I only ever heard it that one time. Nowadays when I call to request it, nobody knows what the hell I'm talkin about. But it does exist somehwere out there.

  • @fckrocknroll You'd think they'd want to release an excellent concert on CD and DVD are they ever gonna do that?? this show's the definition of excellence and niceness

  • Sounds blue-ish here,lol.

  • nah, stp rule the world!

  • yeah!!!

  • sounds like the way i interpret stuff...i always either countrify or put a swing on everything i play (including nirvana)!!!!

  • I love Eric's brush jazz style drumming and Shawn and Lonnie Tubbs played with STP for this song and concert. They play all these great twangy notes! They are really good guitar players too just like Dean DeLeo!

  • I love this swingy/jazzy version of Sex Type Thing. STP have alot of talent. They took one of their already great songs and totally reinvented it with a different sound texture and vibe!

  • MTV needs to release ALL of it's unplugged concerts onto DVD or CD, that would be fucking awesome! At least the STP, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, shows. They were great! I rank this show up there with Neil Young's and Nirvana's

  • All those plus Alice in Chains! Don't forget that..watch the unplugged version of "Nutshell" and "Got Me Wrong"!! They were great, too..why do all the great bands end!!!

  • isnt it already on cd tho? dno about dvd tho.

  • Oh, I don't know, just saying they're a great band hehe

  • this is stone temple pilots dumbass

  • layne sounds really good in that concert....of course not as good as the early stuff...but he still sounded better than most healthy front men....

  • r u talkin bout layne stayley cuz dude, thats Alice in Chains, this is STP with scott weiland

  • because im responding to an earlier comment about aics unplugged concert....that some one else was talking about

  • @klairebear86 and two years later alice in chains, soundgarden, and stp are back! :)

  • good one! keep up the uploading

  • what video?

  • I Clearly Stated Audio only. if i would upload the video it would be instantly taken off. thank viacom for that!

  • @fckrocknroll someone else has the video up. Was Andy Warhol played at the same show, but just not recorded for that episode? Or was AW played at a different show altogether?
