  • I want to hear it with full distortion guys ...

  • whats the amp on the intro ??? i want that intro sound :D

  • @HagusYoung i dont know but i know the splawn nitro can do that except wayyyyy meaner

  • @nickfromdtown1992 The Splawn sounds too thin to me on the dirty channels. I prefer the Blackstar HT series, but I gotta admit the Splawn is a sick amp too. Just my opinion though, it's all preference.

  • @Botdra @nickfromdtown1992 have you heard the nitro in person? because i thought that about the quick rod but the nitro is probably the thickest sounding amp ive ever heard. but youre right it all taste

  • @nickfromdtown1992 Yeah I've heard both in person. This demo video really sucks as far as hearing how good the Blackstar really is, but I think it's just better for my style personally. One thing is I haven't heard how the Splawn takes pedals, I'm sure it takes them great but I haven't heard it compared to the Blackstar. I just order the Blackstar HT-60 because it seemed perfect. So far I prefer the cleans and the dirt channels, but yeah it's taste for sure. Both SICK amps.

  • @Botdra yeah i agree i was actually considering a blackstar for a long time. and the splawn handles them really well.

  • @nickfromdtown1992 I'm not surprised it does, it's a good amp! :P I do like that there's much more on YouTube about the Blackstar series though, that might've helped with my decision knowing that there was more material on it you know?

  • @Botdra yeah thats cool and all and it did help but you can only really see what an amp can do unless you play it

  • @nickfromdtown1992 Yeah, the reason I suggested finding better videos is because they are hard to find over here in Canada, so thought that might be the deal for others too.

  • @Botdra Imho 's not a fair comparison...blackstar is about 650€(100w head here in europe) and splawn is 3 times more!!

  • A....can we get a comment from someone WITHOUT blackstar in there screenname??... little transparent , bullshit hype , angus , lol doubtful , could have done demo with a crate

  • @busteroo7 I didn't believe it before, but these amps are really nice and versatile.. I have a stage 60 2x12 combo and it's great for what I play in my band (rock&roll stuff, it can be pushed to hard rock without needing to use any sort of booster or distortion pedal)..

  • How can you not just love these new Guitar Combo Amps !!!

    ROCK N ROLL

See you guys @ The NAMM SHOW in 2010 Mate

  • Is it true that ANGUS YOUNG will be playing this Fantasy of a Guitar Amplifier ???

I know Slash from Guns N Roses has been testing this baby out for a while now....

Anyway great Job @ The Guitar Show Mate

See you @ The Winter NAMM SHOW and all the very best in 2010

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

    ROCK N ROLL

  • Beast on the market today mate !!

  • FANTASTIC NEW GUTAR AMP

    Loving my new Blackstar HT-5

  • @blackstarht5 haha even your name is blackstar ht 5 XD

  • yeah but with more speakers going from the same amp, you can get a smoother, more full sound at higher volumes because the speakers aren't being pushed as hard.

  • Is it louder with more speakers? Yes, and why is that? It just scales a lot better as power consumption increases a LOT (maybe square 10?) compared to the volume produced. It's like a vacuum cleaner: at full it doesn't suck a lot more compared to at half power; if you have 2 vacuum cleaners running a half power, your room will be cleaned faster ;)

  • If you're looking for a louder speaker/cab, compare their sensitivity specs. A 10dB increase will be perceived as a doubling in volume, so a speaker/cab that is 3-6dB higher in sensitivity will be significantly louder.

  • So would this amp be louder with a bigger cabinet???

  • bigger speakers can push more air, more speakers means more aire pushed. cab size can determine it´s tone/sound and such, and to some extent, it´s volume. most of the volume is in the speakers though.

  • would it be louder with a 112 cabinet?

  • the one they play in the video is a 112, isn´t it? it´s be louder with a 212, and even louder with a 412, as long as the cabinets had the same ohms ratings and watts etc. two different 212 cabs can be entirely different in volume, because the wattage and ohms ratings of the speakers.

  • In the video it's 2 110s. But a lot of people said that cabinets don't make it louder-is this true?

  • ah, okay then.

whether the amp is louder or not will depend on the ohms and wattage of the cab. if you get that volume through a 16 ohms cab, you´ll get more volume from an 8 ohms cab. also, cabs have limits as to how many watts they´re able to take before they just start blaring and blasting :P

  • nah most of the volume comes from the power amp. Unless you were talking about the cab.

  • I heard one of these through a 2x12 Orange Cab, man it was fat sounding

  • I'm sure this thing sounds great with a proper demo - but it's ridiculous to point the mike away from the cabinet and at the floor. Jesus! It sounded out of phase, thin and pathetic. I have heard the 30w head and it fucking screams. Luckily I was able hear it in person - the only way to really tell - especially when they want a small fortune for it.

  • Just bought mine yesterday! OMG! what a piece of art! Just love it! They say it's the perfect practice and studio amp, but I'm sure gonna play some gigs with this little fella! It's got enough power to fill up some smal venues :-))

  • @damnnoisybenny man i cant w8 to have the money to buy a blackstar ht5r!!!

but im a 14 year old kid wo does the newpapers XD

    i only have 68euros

and these amps are here 550 euros T_T

  • Nice ! Stupid question since I know nothing in amps but would like to find a better sound. Can the Blackstar HT5 head go on a modelisation combo like Marshall DFX 30 ?

  • you would be better off with the combo version it is only £30 more. Straight swap for the Marshall.

  • Combo's are still not in stock unfortunatley and not sure when they will arrive :(

  • Hi Bob, around the 15th December.

  • yea the manchester one lol, the guy said they would be in high demand, good luck amigo

  • Which PMT store ?

manchester one was supposed to phone me when they come in ???

  • I got a call today from the guy i spoke to at PMT saying he got some in just this morning, so i went to check them out. Its now sat next to me, and basically i love it ha

  • According to Blackstar THIS WEEK but i'm not holding my breath.

  • Its been a long wait for these - any confirmed dates now??

  • I want it now!

  • Latest I got told from store I ordered. They phoned Blackstar and they will be in store the week beginning Mon 24th in the UK.But that could mean any day that week.

  • Nice features ! Nice sounds from what we can hear. I was planning to buy a Blackheart combo but I think I'll wait for these to come out first because they have fx loop, 2 channels, gain level control, line out, etc.

  • The SLOW boat from korea is getting even slower then tha SLow boat to China.

  • are these available in the USA? I can't find any info on the US Guitar Center site

  • I now here from poject music that the release date has been set to the 25th Nov

  • Last I heard "AT the latest the 3rd week of November "

    BLOODY HURRY UP !!!!!!

  • I've got it the head on order as well. I understand that they will not be ready for dispatch untill the 20th Nov. Can't wait.

  • that thing sounds awesome. Pulls off the glassy 84 thing at the end pretty darn good.

  • I have the HT5 combo on pre order.

Not out till at least 14th Nov.

    cannot wait.

  • got one on order should have it in the next few days!!
