Well because i too have straight hair, i'd like to offer some advice. You should have freshly wash and dried hair. Also to help shape the curl, try putting in some gel or mousse before you dry. When you start twisting sections, use larger sections, smaller ones don't really give the bouncy curl effect. After taking out all the sections, be sure to flip your head upside down and shake everything out. VIOLA! Hope this helps!

Melissa try it that way am sure it's gona work: do not use straightening irons, I have hair like Andreas and when I used the flat iron before twisting thats exactly what I got! Flat hair.. Instead section ur hair and clip each section separately, then blow dry one section and quickly twist the section you just blow dried before it completely cools & use some hair spray n then pin it up. Take the second section blow dry it..etc. Work quickly! Don't blow dry ur hair all at once, work in sections.

That vid wasnt made for someone wit your hair type , yours is too soft to hold . Her vid is more for girls with alrdy curly or wavy hair wit thick enough hair to hold but juss want it more defined plus those curls yu did will probably juss fall out like 3hors later

The problem i think was that you were twisting it not plaiting it. Twists are always gonna be limp unless you put a lot of produce on it.

Your hair looked a little thinner than Andrea's and your twists were too small so you didn't have the same result, but nice try! It helps if your hair is a tiny bit damp before you twist it, not after, and use just pins not hair ties. Hopefully it'll work for you next time :)

@SingingBird75 I did it the first time bigger twists and it did nothing to my hair so I did smaller. Also I only used hair ties to separate the hair. When I was done there was only pins. Thanks for the comment =)

Hey, I don't think you do anything wrong, it's just that the texture of our hair is different than Andrea, so it doesn't hold so good curls or waves... Maybe braids would do the trick or tiny buns?
