  • Comment removed

  • @MrDevin1984 maybe no lol

  • In crete, you can use the US dollar or the Euro.

  • Forgot to Slovakia, but never mind ...

  • 2008

  • i suppose that eu will separate soon again, reason?

stupid imigration policies, high coruption and advantage of some countries as monopols.

  • politic instead policies,sory

  • Most corruption comes from Romania, it's so stupid that they entered the EU. A few weeks ago the Netherlands complaint about it and the Romania government boycotted a trip to the Netherlands.

  • Romania is endeed CORRUPT, but i think that our people deserve a chance for a better future, and we can have one if the union help us to get rid of the corrupted policitians that mock us day by day (fl_ll<ers).

  • Which do not stop Sweden from being of of the worlds most developt nation, regardless of its' imigration policies. Also the corruption in Sweden in relationship to its bureaucracy are low; so think again.

  • That's not so easy.

We the pubic should never have allowed to instal this communist-style government for Europe.

Though it could already be too late.

  • give time for it, slavic nations are power, but in opium at the moment, but we will make dead for EU, because we are more inteligent as they supposed, they lot of time thought that we are stupid, but soon will be change and revolution.

  • In Slovakia or in czechs is growing new young generation whose is awake more and more and see what is the matter and we will get back our nations, our independent etc.

  • Hungry :o) not far from true but it's Hungary

  • Hungary...

    ...and not hungry -.-"

  • the only reason Britain never joined the EU (i only know about the reason Britain didnt join not the others) was because the GBP was stronger than the Euro at the time, i have no idea if it still is or not, but if it isnt it wont be long before they will join, and i believe once they join the same currency the others will follow suit. After all they wouldn't want to be the odd ones out.

  • I have a video of my euro coins collection on YouTube, if you want, have a look!

  • Subscribe to our channel againsteu! There will be videos and updates daily!

  • hahahaha HUNGRI

    how you said that legendary..

  • Holy shit! Your accent! :)

  • people in kosovo and montenegro use the euro as well :d but they don't have their own euros

  • Yes, Montenegro & Kosovo used the German Deutsche mark before the Euro, When Germany adopted the Euro so did Montenegro & Kosovo by proxy at the same time.

  • i like the european union as like the euro.but why the european countries adopted a common coin?propably even those with the biggest economies by their own could not be competive to usa.russia or japan...now europian economy is much stronger. "i do not want in the next 50years to adopt o common language though

  • hey Guys SLOVAKIA HAS EURO SINCE 1. January 2009... so please remake the video and reupload it here =)

  • wow, you spazzed out. i was joking about the dollar thing, take a chill pill. wasn't my idea to go into iraq. FYL i don't care what u say about the dollar.

  • how about we just switch to the dollar system.

  • Dollar is shit.. Its worth shit

  • wow, you wrote a novel on how you think G.b has the greatest army, wow. US has the most high tech arm in the world. And USA is the only country to possess a super-aircraft- carrier without doubt the greatest warship/weapon. It can cover an area of the state of California. And it has others ridding along with it such as submarines and battle ships. Dont forget what country helped save your country during WW2. Im not going to brag all day on whose country is better.

  • Are you an idiot. The pound has a higher rate than the dollar you fucking dumb cunt. Their for the pound has a higher value. So why would Britain go to dollar if the pound was a higher value, And guess what country saved Europe BRITAIN.Guess whos helping your arses in Iraq Britain, you really are stupid. Do you know anything about an economy. I said the dollar is shit AND I could be mentioning the Zamabwe dollar the Austrlian Dollar,Dumb fuck, What I did say is the dollar is shit and less value

  • Also I doubt 3 words is a novel. ha-ha

  • Vatican euros and Sanmarinese euros are pratically just for collectors, though i live in italy and i've never seen one! at least in Rome Vatican euro ought to circulate! (with the previous currency in the Vatican City it was heasier to find papal coins.

  • You needed sources,... omg noob, these things you know as an european... ;)

  • oh and it's Slovenia not Slovania :P Thers a bit of a difference in the meaning and in the pronounciation.

  • I'd also like to know what do people from "advanced" countries like Germany, UK, Holland... thuink about all the money that goes to Slovenia.

It's kinda weird to see in the news that they are building new stuff, like motorways or train stations and a part of the money comes from the EU. I always feel like we're steeling it :S GIEF IT BACK!

  • Hey i'd like to know. When Slovenia joined the EU and adapted the euro, our economy growth kinda stopped, it was growing very fast before. And also prices went up, as much as 20-30%.

I'd like to know if it's the same or similair case with other countries that adapted the euro. Pls reply or PM.

  • @ponoru year prices becae higher but the economy thing in slovenia is beacause you introduced the euro in a worse situation for the world economy than it was in 2002.

  • What about Turkey...

  • we don't need them, they don't want us... end of story :D

  • It would be awsome if Turkey gets in EU then we get more powerfull then the USA !!!

  • Why do we have to be more powerfull then the USA? And i doubt we would be more powerfull anyway :D

  • Why because the world is not in balance, now USA decides what is good and what is bad. That's why.

  • sory irshaad1337 but the usa are not the leaders they were 30 years ago when there were only usa and the soviet union. now we have the usa, eu, china and russia !

  • Well, the Czechs would be stupid to join the Eurozone as the Euro has constantly been losing value compared to the Czech Koruna. When the Euro has been introduced in 2002 it was 36 Korunas per 1 Euro. In summer 2008 it was only 22 Korunas per Euro. The Czech national bank had to artificially weaken the Koruna as its too rapidly increasing strength would've had a bad effect on the export and import, however it's still 29.8 Korunas per Euro, so you can see what kinda bad currency the Euro is

  • ...plus goods always get more expensive for customers once a country introduces the Euro. This was the case when the Euro was adopted by the first Euro-zone-members and it was the case when Slovenia adopted the Euro which totally damaged their booming economy. And only just yesterday I heard in the Slovakian news that some public transportation companies raised their prices without notification at 0:00 am on January 1. So if any country wants to join the economic crisis,go and adopt the Euro!lol

  • Lets talk about goods like clothing or electronics... Those were kinda expensive comparing to countries with euro, when you converted to price, it was like 8 euros more for one pair of jeans in NewYorker/Takko/C&A/H&M etc. Now, the prices are the same and you save a lot on clothes themselves, not talking about milk/yogurths and all dairy products, which were much more expensive in Slovakia comparing to Germany... :) And, strong exchange rate between slovak koruna and euro and week in CR makes

  • your prices even cheaper for us... Yeah, and the stability we prsumably gain... Yeah, I hate that Euro has taken the freedom we have had when it comes to influencing our OWN currency, thats true... And switching to EURO has taken a bit of our national identity, I love slovak korunas... :)

  • yep and now it´s almost 30 czech crowns for euro..strange argumentation..

  • Well...if you had a clue what you're talking about you would know, that the exchange rate was different 3 weeks ago when I wrote this comment and no-one on earth could forsee that. Plus the average exchange rate is 27.852 which is a great difference to 30 PLUS it's still more than 8 less than at the point when the Euro had been introduced, so you'd better shut ur mouth, mister...

  • Honestly for me it´s important your exchange rate as bangladesh problems with floods..Your impolite and quite histeric approach (as typical for some complexed wannabe Czechs) won´t hide fact that for us it´s nowadays very advantageous to buy anything in Czech Rep. or Hungary as it is very cheap due to weak currency. Only time will show whether our decision was reasonable or not..Until that time you can dream about some more persuasive constructions predicting our fall..

  • Well, the main reason for you Slovaks to come to Czechia for shopping has always been the higher standard of the variety of accessible goods and it's been the Slovak's own wish to have their own country which made them fall behind. I still have great respect for Slovaks but there's no point in arguing about someone whose national pride is jumping on bandwagons. A silly pro-euro pressing your point on the one hand but an anti-Czech attitude on the other. Whatever, enjoy ur new currency ;-)

  • just few examples, milk in cz 5sk cheaper than here, bread 8sk, beer 10 sk and we should continue on. Et voila, reason for shopping in Moravia (that Czechia entertained me), of course for wonderfull variety of accessible goods. Strange than why Czechs have no reason for buy in Germany (perhaps more expensive, perhaps euro, perhaps weak currency? who knows..) Desinformation on czech level never surprised us. It seems that "great" mountains surrounding you pretend some important info to enter..

  • As for my national pride, it should by my concern, although I didn´t experience any changes in my blood. Surprisingly it didn´t change to european one..But when comes to discussion between Slovaks and Czechs. Czechs has always "full-house" in their hand- slovak nationalism. As I have said, desinformation on czech side never surprised us..

  • I won't press the issue anymore, as it doesn't lead anywhere. The word Czechia may have entertained you but it's a commonly used word in English. Even Englishmen don't wanna say Czech Republic all the time.

  • sometimes missleaded (by Americans) with Cechnia

anyway try to say this to Moravians..

I wasn´t for euro, although it seems that it saved us, but only time will show..

next time prove your respect to Slovaks in a different way..

    all the best!

  • WELCOME SLOVAKIA TO EUROZONE!!!!

  • Slovakia - 1.1.2009 € :)

  • Great video - I hope Wales will get the Euro (as soon as we're independant).

  • LOL :) are you fighting for independence? :D

  • @maxfm82 Hear hear!

"Independence" for the Euro-regions of Wales and Scotland!

And Labour governments a distant if rather unpleasant memory for England.

  • 2009 - Slovakia

    2010 - Lithuania

    2011 - Estonia/Latvia

    2012 - Poland

    2013 - Hungary, Bulgaria ,Czech Republic (?)

    2014 - Romania

  • Romania will not adopt euro in 2014, Romania will adopt it probably in 2015 or 2016. maybe Bulgaria will adopt it in 2014 not in 2013. but i don't think if it's better to adopt the euro, because each country has its culture. but i don't know what is better.

  • @uszkar wheres the big difference between having your national symbols on the coins of any other currency than having them on the euro coins?

  • Nice educational vid. Just a suggestion.

You might want to mention that there are also 3 countries that, as far as I know, do not mint/issue their own Euros but do use the Euro: Andorra, Kosovo and Monte-Negro.

  • i love the northern british accent of the guy speaking

  • It's not a Northern British accent, it's an Irish accent.

  • you fool you are european look at your dna and trace back what an ignorant stupid think yo say, you lack brain matter!!

  • if the scottish want independence take ure shitty euro which one pounds worth in euros could by a mansion then u take it well stay with pounds thank and britain doesnt use the euro? pound owns

  • Britain won't even consider adopting the Euro until we NEED to. In other words; when our economy fails completely and we are unable to save ourselves. Even then it will go to a referendum and at the moment the British people are against it. Even the most pro European, lefty, liberal politicians in the UK have said adopting the Euro at the moment would be pointless and even harmful to us. So i'm not worried. They've even brought out new UK coins.

  • true our currency is strong so we don't need it yet, but it would be cheaper to go on holiday, when i went to irland it was difficult understanding the vale of the euro and paying to exchange is enoying. I hope we join soon, just to be pragmatic. It's only money and we can keep our symbols on the coin like irland has the harp on thiers

  • well said mate the majority of british people are proud of having independent money gordon brown took away our islands freedom but if he

ever took away our money haha i can just imagine something crazy happening

  • Tree states?

  • Fuck the EU nazi Regime!

  • exept you have to be a democracy to join and have human rights and co-operate with the peace process on other contries and work towards and better earth. Becides that and the work done to reduce racim, then yes of corce it's NAZI. you must be a real acidemic to come up with such a great argument and so many valid points.

  • EU nazi Regime? Soviet Union?? EUSSR? loool... What's next?

    EU Anarchic regime... lolol

  • im with u mate

  • UK will join soon!

  • no! never!

  • It would be good for the UK and I will be voting yes and campaigning for a yes vote when it goes to a referendum.

  • It won't give us any benifits apart from not having to change your holiday money when you go abroad. It's not very good against the pound just now and plus, with all the economic crisis at the moment, would it be good to uproot the financial system? It would cause mass chaos!

  • Long live to EUrope

    Europeans TőG℮thé®

  • Europa naja mal gehts vorne und rückwärts naja aber wir ahben wenigstens einen wirtschaftsanteil von 39% auf der welt (denn höchsten) der Euro ist die Wertvollste Währung usw. :)

  • heute ist der Euro jung

  • Romania in 2014-2015:(

  • NEXT IS SLOVAKIA just few months :))

  • Johan, does already exist slovakian euro-coins? I´d like to see their design. Zdravím

  • of course that they exist more than two years :D you can see them in wikipedia just put there Slovak euro coins in to a google. They looks very nice.

  • ok, thanks johan.

  • thanks, great summary of the most important information! (I might be tested on some of this stuff tomorrow, great study materials)

  • There is weak and there is worthless, and a worthless dollar will not be a good thing.

Hate to break it too you but we went round Tesco once checking where everything was made, China and Tiwan where by far the most frequent names to appear, Poland was mentioned more than once, but the only thing we ever found from the USA was the cheap own brand razor set.

About the only American products I can think of owning are my Intel CPU and Windows XP.

  • "RoAmerica" Euro will fade away mhm i remember guys like you said this already before we introduced it to any Eu country ,the same was about the Total Eu Gdp you guys said we never would get more than the US and what is now? Usa 13.7Trillion GPD nominal and the Eu 16.8trillion mhm maybe it would be a good idea to accept facts insteed of nagging like a angry child

"greetings from austria" its not personly by the way

  • ROAmerica

the fact that USD is lowering is a symptom of sick economy, and this symptom in total will stop declining of US economy by helping to your exporters. But if you think that lowering dollar is result of succeful economy you´re badly wrong.

  • EU will never be a superpower? It already is, and after french presidency it will be yet boosted.

  • ECB wont lower interest rates just because EU needs more capital instead of weaker euro. As soon as major economic companies will reach the ceiling for their exports with certain euro value, then ECB will lower the rates. Untill then it would be silly. (but yes some weaker and less effective companies with export trades will probably end, but its healthy for economy, or small inefective companies cant slow down the big one, it would be silly as well)

  • @Ro...

The usual, ever emerging, underlying, frustrated fear of loosing "superpower status". Need I look at the flag at your YouTube account first or may I safely assume you're from the US?

Further, strong and weak more or less cancel each other out.

Strong currency gets you large amounts of raw materials so you can sell at acceptable prices later on.

Weak currency has you invest heavily in raw materials, but as your currency is weak you can later on still sell at acceptable prices.

  • I want Slovenian tollars back !

  • c´mon its cheaper for economy to have Euro

  • I did not know anything about Slovenia two years ago.

Since seeing your coins I now know you have a "national poet" just like we do! and I now know what your flag is and what each part represents, I know the basic geography and history of you country.

Whats more I always see Slovenia inventing in its business internationally now, and I know tourism is sky-rocketing!

Don't get too stuck on the past, the Euro has been great for Slovenia and I hope to come see your great country one day!

  • you know were you can stick your Euros dont you

  • right up your U ARSE

  • yep thats were ha nice to see someone else feels thesame way as me

  • You don't adopt a new currency because you "feel" like it. The decision is based on it's stability and the wealth it will bring.

  • Hate to break it to you buddy, but the pound is following the US dollar down the crapper, while the Euro grows stronger every day.

I would suggest you drop the elitest attitude and take a look at reality. The Eurozone is overall a much better place to invest in.

  • In the bank?

  • A great video, well presented and explained.

Only one thing I would say, technically the first 11 countries adopted the Euro in 1999, but continued to use their own notes and coins day to day. When the physical Euro notes and coins where introduced in 2002 Greece also adopted the Euro.

This is why some countries coins can be found with the date 1999 on them. There is a commemorative coin to be released next year to mark 10 years of the Euro. The new coin was chosen by public vote.

  • i dont care us brits dont want it theres enf of our popliton that dont want it in the uk ok

  • If you don't care then why bother watching his video? and what are you telling me for? Your comment doesn't relate to anything I said.

  • You are correct on 1 January 1999 the irrevocable conversion rates were adopted for 11 members and joined by Greece in 2001.

I apologize for the late replay I had hoped to make another video addressing your comment in question but I got caught up in writing articles on wikipedia.

  • Good educational video, thanks for uploading.
