it will be done as a re-make with the creator of Gossip Girl. I hope they will make it as dramatic as this. I love the movie. The novel was praised highly but not this movie. But this movie on its own did justifyl what it is like to be in love, one way or another. I love this movie so dearly.

After watching the film Endless Love as a little boy of six, enamored w. a 20-year-old Brooke Shields, I learned firsthand what it meant to be truly in love, & want to do to display this most powerful of emotions to the object of your affection to win her heart: --Burn that bitches house down David-style, baby. Yes, I did a few years upstate, and it was hard w. all the pedophiles trying to make time with me there, but the love letters never ceased & today, w. therapy, we are a happy couple. :)

What a beautiful girl was Brooke Shields when she was a teenager, the love of every boy of the 80´s. Today is not as pretty as before.

He was so much older than her in this movie...He was like 23 & she was barely 16...Almost taboo even back then! Today, it's happening every time you blink your eyes :(

Couldn't they have given her a dry blouse. Her underarm wetness is distracting. Neither one of them were very good actors at that time, and the movie took all the rawness out of the book. Okay for a teenie bopper flick.

@bachelorgirl10 Yes, Zefirelli directed "Romeo & Juliet" and a few other Shakespearean dramas. He also directed the tear jerker, worth-watching "The Champ", 1979. Please take a look at it, you might like it as well.

Brooke Shields was such a beautiful teenager. I'm sure she looks back fondly at this movie.
