Kobe is easily a better shooter and more clutch. Lebron is a better rebounder, passer, driver, and has better shot selection. Kobe doesn't take a lot of smart shots, hence the 45% shooting. Defense is pretty even but I'll give it to Lebron since he can guard all 5 positions.

Kobe Bryant is hands down the best basketball player of his generation, the guy is on another level of play. He can hit any shot and you can clearly he is a man among boys still after all these years.

Kobe is a great shooting guard, I'm not saying he isn't. As far as guards go, hes behind mj and johnson. Its ridiculously difficult for a guard to average what he did in his prime, even if his shooting % was only 45%, because he also had good rebounding, good defense and good assist numbers. Take into account that Kobe, when he was Lebron's age, averaged better than Lebron does now. Also, don't forget all the injuries he plays with EVERY night. Arthritis, bad knees, and a bad back? Take all this Lebron talk somewhere else, anyone with half a brain can understand Kobe is the greatest in the NBA.

Thats not true at all. He resembles mj the closest, but hes not nearly as efficient as lebron. At the end of the day, the team with the most points wins, and lebron is better at scoring those points at a higher clip then kobe. Thats why lebron is a better (offensive) player. Clutch is important, but kobe isn't clutch 40% in the final 5 minutes of the game, 29% game winners. Lebron is alot more "clutch" then kobe. Kobe has 5 rings, but rings are a team accomplishment.

I don't know if anyone will agree to this. But in the 2010 Playoffs against the Utah Jazz, Kobe Bryant played really really close to Michael Jordan, Lebron James not even close to the category of Kobe.

Kobe is a terribly inefficient scorer, doesn't even rank in the top 30 for players that have scored over 20 points in a career. How is he a good shooter if he bricks so many shots? Michael was 10th on the list, kobe looked nothing like michael.

Kobe is a great shooting guard, I'm not saying he isn't. As far as guards go, hes behind mj and johnson. Its ridiculously difficult for a guard to average what he did in his prime, even if his shooting % was only 45%, because he also had good rebounding, good defense and good assist numbers. (in his prime.)

ohh he won't be number 11 on that list, he hasn't even broken the top 30 in shooting efficiency. The only reason why he is number 3 on my guards list is because guards are terribly inefficient and if A.I. is entering the HOF on 24 ppg on 40% shooting, then it would be a shame to say kobe isn't good. Hes great, year to year hes been consistent for a guard, but the truth of the matter forwards and centers are wayyyy more efficient.

@djwezzy100 Over the course of their respective careers MJ has done more than Kobe. However, Kobe in the latter years of his career, the tail end of his prime, is equal to MJ at that stage. Kobe, in pursuit of his second threepeat is looking like how MJ looked when he captured his second threepeat.
Smart, tough and on point midrange shooting as your staple, the occasional hard drive and finish and from deep, Kobe actually is a better sharp shooter than MJ.

He's only 26 and is the most ATHLETIC specimen the NBA has ever seen! Even when lebron looses his athleticism he would be better than Malone. Jordand didn't get his patened post game until he came back in 95! That's 11 years after he stepped foot in the NBA. Kobe worked on his earlier but give Lebron time. Other than overall LBJ is better!

But Lebron due to his size, unselfishness and court vision would've either just beastest to the hole and scorerd or drew a foul or passed to WIDE OPEN Fisher or Odom for the most accurate, easir shot! Kobe is the BEST ONE-ON-ONE player but skillwise overall LBJ is more talented!

@djwezzy100 it says nothing. Lebron is a small forward with the versatility to play four positions. thats unheard of except the likes of magic johnson. Kobe takes terrible shots he is great because they go in. Lebron takes high percentage shots which are more reliable usually end in an and-1 and put his team in position to win. If kobe is cold his inability to not take a tough shot usually takes his teams out of games. Lebron is just more efficient.
