I like your video, but it's lacking some important perspective. Street racing doesn't kill people...stupidity, lack of training and lack of respect for the machine kills people. Finland does more racing, on and off the street, than any country in the world. People are obsessed with it there...but their traffic fatality rate is one of the lowest. Why? Because they spend years working to learn vehicle control and dynamics before they're ever given a license. It's all about respecting the machine.

I just want to point out some things. One, where are the sources. 135 crashes reported by police? How did they define a street race? Just because it's 2 Hondas driven by young kids doesn't mean it was a race. What is a street racing citation? I don't get how you get one of those. I would say, be a minority in an import and they'll give you one. NHTSA's findings cover crashes, but don't cover the reason for the deaths. So 5,749 teens died of 39 races. That's quite a crash if you ask me.
I do i for the adrenaline rush. I drive a 400hp Mustang and with that much power, you just gotta smash the little Hondas and Subarus that think they are hot shit. And as far as dying, Im on a deployment list to Afghanistan so dying isnt really a concern.

But there was so many of us doing it on central ave. That the cops could'nt pull over everyone. Sound familar? We left alot of broken beer bottles behind during our night of Racing. For me it was the booze that made me make dumb mistakes. Like one night i drove by to sherrif's cars with their park lights on. They were just chatting to each other. I waited until i was about 300 feet away from them and then i stopped in the middle of the road. I had a 1964 Nova SS with a pumped SBC with a 4speed. So i rev'ed it up and dropped the clutch. And burned rubber for 3 gears. I turned off my headlights so they would'nt see me. 3 minutes later i had a gun against the back my head.
And if you do go to jail. Once your inside the jailhouse. The cops can beat the crap out of you and accidently kill you. I suffered severe headaches for 6 months and have not been the same since. After they crush your head into the concrete floor. while your handcuffed. Ask yourself this question. Do i want to get caught ? Do you like pain? That kind of dirty stuff is why cops get shot at. Dude they can do anything to you. They are trained hunters. They have a hunters badge on their shirt.

Well, there is a reason why in legal racing events, the drivers have teams to keep constant maintenance of the sponsor's car. Unlike in street racing, where anything could go wrong.

But there was so many of us doing it on central ave. That the cops could'nt pull over everyone. Sound familar? We left alot of broken beer bottles behind during our night of Racing. Stop lite to stop lite. one after the other. I understand the rush real well. Fast cars and good lookin chicks. Its the bomb.

The problem is most law makers don't street race. And if they did and got caught. Nothing would happen to them anyway. Only people like us are the evil ones. If the public complains enough. The elected officails have to do something or start looking for a new job. It sucks i know. The only way to go to jail. Is to get caught. Do your racing one on one. For me it was the booze that made me make dumb mistakes. Like one night i drove by to sherrif's cars with their park lights on. They were just chatting to each other. I waited until i was about 300 feet away from them and then i stopped in the middle of the road. I had a 1964 Nova SS with a pumped SBC with a 4speed. So i rev'ed it up and dropped the clutch. And burned rubber for 3 gears. I turned off my headlights so they would'nt see me. 3 minutes later i had a gun against the back my head.
