"RIGHTS" are the PRIVILEGES given to peoples by their leaders through writings and passing some laws. So this means LAWS determine our "rights", not nature or God. in the absence of society, it is nature that determines someone's "rights".
well if you want human rights you need justice and justice doesn't come with good intentions but with strenght and willpower against violence and crimes. Only the talion law will reach that goal otherwise it is a lost fight
But why are people still oppressed by fear of speaking out in their own countries? Why are people still afraid to to choose their own religion and be open about it?
Doesn't mean a whole lot when the UN is about to pass laws that make it "hate speech" to criticize religion. But aren't we allowed to think what we want and to say what we want?
The sad thing is we all believe we actually have these rights and that we are actually free. The united states and all the other major countries are the worst places to live. The happiest and hardest working slave is the one who thinks he is actually free.

the UDHR (universal declaration of human rights) is the best thing that has ever happened to the world. though many things are cause for despair, it is good to know that the world is (hopefully) improving. amnesty international, you rock, when enough of the world knows the extent of suffering which human beings still are subjected to; the outcry should be immense! already many things are changing for the better because of international pressure, so everyone, i urge you to rate this 5 stars plz

This is great, it really, really is.
