Never saw him cry intell my grandmothers funneral I remember crying with him for hours this is back in 1983 then April 4, 1987 he past I was with him hours before I was 10 best person in my life, God I miss him!

One of my favorite song's of the 90's. I totally love the 80/90's country 10x better then today's country. Besides Jason Aldean, older country is just more pure vocals and lyrics. Collin Raye was one of the best vocalists, and imo he still is today.

what I don't understand is why do we let country music like this die. Why do we settle for the weak, watered down crap they play on the radio now. It's not even worth turning it on anymore. nothing i say is really going to help. but, i really am sorry for your loss. I heard someone say once that they had felt honored that they were lucky enough to have been in the life of the one they lost. that really stuck with me

@alPendleton1 You were to be married on my birthday which grieves me all the more so, I lost my Grandfather a week ago and my Grandmother now lies sick in the hospital as well. I am so sorry for your loss.

I love this song. My grandparents were married over 50 years. They are together again forever. I miss 'em so bad it hurts. So I remember all the wonderful meals, long walks, long talks - all the good stuff - I was lucky to have known them. Death is inevitable - it is how we DEAL with it, remembering their LIFE - that is the key! PS - it still hurts - but that's life!

I heard this song played (by the groom's brother) at a wedding yesterday. It is apparently a song their family has held dear for many years. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. So incredibly beautiful.

i love this song but it makes my cry cause this is the song they play at my grandpa funral whan he died . and it ten time worse cause it was 4 day befor christmas when he died the survice was the 24th one day befror christmas and im only 14 teen so i cant have a good christmas every again
