@johnnielawson Thank you, Johnnie! I am impressed with your work as well. Your amazing images and exquisite choice of music is perfect for relaxation =)
This is an amazing piece played with grace that touches the spirit. Thank you for sharing what is now undoubtedly one of my favorite songs. The perfect music before a pow-wow. Best Wishes and Much Love to you.
Saw a couple of coyotes running at night through the snow under a full moon no more than fifteen feet from me. Beautiful animals. Now when I think of that moment, I will think of this song. thanks.
Sgi, thank you so much! I have touched so many people with the haunting, mellow tones of the Native flute. It connects me to that part of my heritage.
Absolutely amazing video. really well done and inspiring Peace to you and thanks for leading the way. i have been watching for over 2 years and just finally joined youtube too. Your cool video really fires me UP bro. WADO~Will
Thank you Danny for the share and Reggie for this wonderful flute play. This is a beautiful song. When I close my eyes, my thoughts go on a journey through space and time.
thank you............really enjoyed never seen such big flute........perfect harmony with the mountains..........i listen to the coyotes a lot last night they where very talkative around sunset
Sgi! That's Cherokee for "thank you"! The voice of the ancestors speak through me as I play the Native flute. A song a thousand years old, floating on Cherokee winds...
Thanks, Dean! It's an oldie but goodie. Can you believe I wrote this thirteen years ago? I used only the second ever Native flute I had at the time, the cane one I played when we performed at Magic Bean in 1994!
Wa-Do! Thank you for your comment! This song has generated more response than any other. I, myself, am beginning to experience the true power of the Native flute to communicate to the hearts of others. It is much more than just a personal experience. It makes me feel so wonderful to be able to bring the magic of the flute to others, to share its power. :)
Oh, John, this simple little song has touched so many. It is currently my most requested! I feel that the Native flute channels spirit energy, and affects people on a subconscious level. They may not recognize it as such, but know that is something that feels good and natural. The flute subconsciously reminds people of their connection with the Great Spirit, Mother Earth, the cosmos and all beings within it.
THAT'S ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Are there CDs of this available? More questions later. And it really honors Coyote. How I love the sound of them close to nightfall. Blessings to my beloved little brothers! Sometimes we sing together at the sunset in the summer. Thankyou Young Fella!
I am honored by your comment, my friend. As a matter of fact, when I perform this song live, I incorporate live percussion. Soon, I'll post a clip from a New Year's Eve show I did with flute and djembe!
I am honored that you thought the video was by your friend. I greatly respect his calling and his heritage. A remix sounds exciting! I will contact you about this!
Thank you so much, my friend! I have Native blood flowing throught my veins and it manifests itself through the flute. I have visited your you tube page, and I am impressed by your humanitarian activities. I am honored to have captured your attention by my spirit song! Wa-Do! (Thank you in the Tsalagi language)
Ahhhh! What a sound! A solitary coyote howls in the lonesome desert as the wind whips across the arid landscape...hey, those would make great song lyrics!
Great - I would like to know more about you and your music. Do you publicly perform and have any recordings avaialble. Who made your flute and what key is it in? I look forward to hearing more of your sounds.
Sorry for the late reply, my friend! I perform semi-regularly here in Macon, usually on the first Friday of the month when the streets of downtown Macon are filled with music. I have some self-produced recordings, and several different flutes in several keys. Roughly half of them are river cane and the other cedar. In "Coyote Music", I actually increased the recording speed to lower the pitch of the flute. It was originally in G, but I wanted to give the flute a more languid, deeper tone.
Thanks for the comment! I am of Cherokee heritage, and I take great pride in the both the Native and African blood that courses through me. Thank you for asking!
My reply is a little late; I hope you can forgive me! I thank you so much for commenting on my video! This is from a very spiritual place inside, and I hope the imagery in the video reflects that through the natural surroundings.
I love this track! Awesome work!
