@skyblue2567 Yes, every bird in the parrot family are incredibly smart. Parrots can recognize gestures and even words outside of training. Conures specifically are extremely able of escaping cages if you aren't careful

oh you wait!!!!!!! it will bite eventually!!! trust me!!!! my gcc "Cheeky" was the sweetest most affectionate bird who always gave me hugs (bird hugs of course) and now because of my cousin (who chased him all the time) he is mean and nippy (very nippy, he could be a serial killer lol) but he still is affectionate. i love my little cheeky cheeky (haha i taught him to say that)

I work at a pet store and we had a couple bring two hand raised and fed 3 month old green cheeks in for us to sell. They are the best little birds. I'm really attached to one of them and want to bring him/her home so much. From working at the store, I would much rather spend an extra $100 on a green cheek than a cockatiel. These guys are incredible.

In the past most owners did not feed any bird properly. Seed only diets are a death sentance with a shortened life and ill health. Kind of like a human eating only one type of food for life.

My greencheek is 15 years old and thriving. His main diet is pellets but he also gets pasta, cheerios, fruit, seeds as a treat, etc.. I hope anybody wanting a pet parrot gets educated on their care before making a commitment, ownership should mean giving your pet the best of care.

Ya know, I wouldn't say that they *can't*, but I've had several very tame parakeets over the years(seven) and none of them really enjoyed being on their back. The reason I was able to train Buddy to do this is that conures are naturally more comfortable rolling over. Good luck!
