All the tracks are in that file. Click to download that file. When it has downloaded you will need to extract the files - you will trhen be left with a folder containing the individual instruments. Use Audacity (a free sound editing program - just google it) to play the files.

@abstractionmusic Hi there, I downloaded the file as you mentioned, but they are not entirely separated. There are four tracks I am seeing- drums, bass, guitar, and vocals/synth (on one track). Where are the harmony vocals, the alternate guitar part, and the sequencer tracks? Thanks for your help (I want to make my own remix). Yours was top notch awesome!

@zorro94306 - Thanks for your kind comments, glad you like the mix. The isolated parts can be easily found on the web, they originate from the RockBand game. Search "RockBand moggs" (.mogg being the file extension used in the game) and you'll find them, and many many others. The files open in Audacity (a free audio editing program) and other music software.

Hi - thanks for your kind comments, I'm glad you like the mix.

I used a program called Audacity for editing and arranging the various instruments - it's a free program (just Google Audacity and download it).

The individual parts (bass, drums, vocals etc) are just that - individual sound files. No program can extract or isolate specific elements. The multitrack files for this and other songs are floating around there on the net if you look hard enough!

I've used audacity before but didn't have much luck with it, I suppose that's because it was a trial version, the features weren't fully use-able. I trust you on this though, so I will buy the full version soon!

I would love to own my own studio and the original tapes and be able to listen to and mix whatever elements I want! One can dream, ha! :)

Indeed I did. I used the multitrack (which can be found with very little effort), edited it in Audacity and Magix Music Maker 14. Not as difficult as you'd think, especially if you have a structure in mind to start with. Also it's just great to hear the parts in isolation.
