Lucky for me I have a textbook about Music Theory in my lap by Charles Hoffer.

A symphony is a type of orchestral work composing of more than one movement. It can be a lot of different styles like rondo and sonata (the most known types).

A serenade is a work contributed to someone, but no one knows who Mozart wrote Eine kleine Nachtmusi (the Serenade No. 13 in this video) for. He was working on the opera Don Giovanni at the time, though.
