bermula disaat Ulama Aceh NURUDDIN AR-RANIRY di Aceh dengan Tarekat Rifa'iyah. debus juga digunakan oleh pejuang Aceh TEUKU UMAR ntuk melawan Belanda sehingga belanda harus menggunakan PELURU EMAS tuk memusnahkan T.UMAR yang kebal akan peluru oleh DeBUS itu

ada juga tarian "Rapa ie Daboh(debus Aceh)" yang di warisi oleh para "endatu"/moyang rakyat Aceh sejak jaman Belanda...
