I get a completely different feel from each of them - Schilling's, to me, is more wistful, almost sad, like there is no homecoming and something is lost. Yes and no, they used the LEM in Apollo 13 as a life boat after the O2 tanks exploded. To date im not sure how accurate the movie was, but the Apollo 13 Disaster did involve some incredible human engineering to overcome, they did survive and there are some similarities to this song.
