May the Lord keep these lads Andy and the Gately family safe in His arms ever and always.My prayers are with them all today,tomorrow and evermore.I don't hink there is anything bad anyone can think of to say about Steo or the way he lead his life.The fans showed this the day Steo came 'out'.None cared about his sexual preference we only cared about Steo the man,Steo the singer and Steo the entertainer.I think it made us love him more.Michael is right,he was a kind,loving and gentle man.

Ronan Keating's speech was touching. I am in tears. What a loss and i met all of them one year just when they had released key to my life. St Stephen's Green Dublin back in 1994.
Oh my god watching and hearing this now two months on it is still heartbreaking the boyz did steo proud! glad they were all there. The love and friendship they have shone through. Still makes me cry - be strong boys the love you had for steo help you carry on . love and support to you all
ronan really struggled with his speech, they all loved stephen to bits, shane did not speak at the funeral, stephen was his best man at the wedding, and i think shane and stephen were exceptionally close as were ronan and stephen,, oh stephen why did you have to leave us,,,
As an American, I knew of Boyzone and, to a small degree, of Stephen Gately. Now I wish fate had smiled upon me enough to allow me to know Stephen personally. His bandmates are clearly remarkable, caring men, just as Stephen was. Not being a celebrity myself, I cannot say this in person, but I wish them well and I pray that time will heal the sudden and tragic void in their hearts and lives. I wish the same for Stephen's family and friends. Godspeed, Stephen.

@inakinsno1fan i agree, but i think steo knew how much he was loved in boyzone and by his family and close friends and fans,,, he knew as he was the most popular with ro in the early days,, u only have to look at footage on here of live at wembley in 1996 and look for said and done and the screams when steo sings is unbelievable, he was much loved and always will be. this was so hard to watch cried for days :( RIP forever
no matter how many times i watch this or hear the eurology, it still brings a tear to my eye. it'll be hard to imagine Boyzone without him. but i just hope that the lads will do him proud by making the best album ever and finishing his book. i'll be getting my copy of both!
