Probert put a beating on Brown and Crowder. He always more than made up for a loss. He ranks number one on most lists because not only could he fight but he actually had hockey skills. Brown, Twist, Crowder, Semenko? I think not. Probert also had longevity with 17 years in the league. It scares me to think of what kind of player Probert could have been, had he stayed clean from drugs and alcohol and kept himself in shape off the ice. IMHO.
